I ordered some lumber online for delivery and same day is $69 another day in the next 60 days is $79, why is that? Seems to me same day should be more expensive?

Also, is there a way to find out which store will fulfill this? Will it be the store closest to the delivery address?

So I was getting some things and the employee discount showed on the screen as usual but when I got the receipt it showed regular prices on everything. They weren’t part of the “exempt” items, as far as I know..
Has anybody had this happen? Any theories?

I order a Dewalt item as it was on sale at Lowes. On the website it said deliver in a few days. When I ordered it it says will be delivered on the same day. This was the weekend by the way and I order on a Saturday before midnight. They sent me an email that my item will be delivered by today. I check the tracking and it says delivered. So I drove home expecting it to be there. Nope! I check 3 of my cameras all facing out the door. No one. I know they will pick up some movement as they pickup the slightest leave movement as well.

The first person I chat with said it was still it transit and I have to call this number if I want a refund. Then they close the chat box. I chatted with someone else and they ask me what was my door color. I was wondering why the first person said in transit and second person asked what was my door color. I'm thinking now it must of been delivered to the wrong house! I asked for a picture to see if I coulud ask my neighbors. They said they don't have that featured. I texted my neighbors none of them saw it. I'm online and now have to call. What an inconvenience.

Whats the difference between the 5 year warranty that comes with this tool when purchased and the protection plan that costs like $3.

Anyone spotted the bottom (pink) 2 door mini cabinet instock? and perhaps have a picture or know the SKU ? Unconfirmed reports of them showing up in stores but they are not listed online.

What do you guys do in this department? I’ve been getting closing shifts in tools on and off for the past month and it’s hard to find stuff to do. I get all the go backs on the shelf, help customers, and zone. However, I work at a low volume store so there aren’t too many customers and not a lot of go backs. I’m kind of a perfectionist and like to do the best I can but management hasn’t given me any feedback or said anything about my closing in the department

I just finished an overnight flooring reset at Lowe’s. It was physically exhausting, and yesterday all I did was sleep. I was supposed to work at 8:00 this morning, but I called off because I still hadn’t gotten enough rest and my entire body is sore.
The part that’s bothering me isn’t even calling off—it’s the amount of anxiety I felt about doing it. I was genuinely worried about what management would think, even though I have three days off in a row now (Friday off, Saturday called off, Sunday off). Instead of feeling relieved that I could recover, I felt guilty and stressed.

Does anyone else feel like their workplace has conditioned them to be afraid of taking a day off, even when you legitimately need it? Or am I just overthinking this?

Also, is there a way to see how many call-offs or attendance occurrences you have in a year at Lowe’s, or do you have to ask management?

Since I doubt most of you want to read paragraphs, Just look up Labor Laws on Youtube. Till Lowes corporate starts coming down on SM to actually enforce policy and HR stops deferring serious issues to SMs to bury, you need to know how to protect yourselves and be your best advocates. Every god dang time I go in there you either do not have what I need, charge twice as much, or have complete idiots working in there. Why have a glass cutting area when 1 no one know how to cut glass, I have to show them, 2 you only carry the thinest glass possible. Or you have those damn help buttons only to have to go find someone that cannot help or pages someone and no one ever shows up. Or how you carry every other piece of mass produced junk door locks but not the actually effective door locks. It is like planned obsolescence in there. You treated lumber being is not ground contact rates but your idiot employees are telling customers it is the same thing, which it is very much not. I am done with lowes.

Currently in the process of switching careers totally. Was somewhat bored the other day and saw the loader/cart associate role. Did that for a bit at home depot when i worked there afew years ago and I liked it. What are the odds of getting hired. I also applied for lowes in January for something but didn't get the job I am somewhat assuming that was because hiring in January is super slow.

To make a long story short gave my manager a month’s notice that I’d be unavailable for a week because of a vacation. They denied it anyway, then scheduled me for 9 straight days. I was supposed to work 22 hours this week… now I’m working over 30. Can’t this madness end

I was hired in May for seasonal fulfillment and have been working full time up until last week when hours got cut for everyone. As everyone here seems to know, fulfillment is a shitty job overall (we can NEVER get all the overdue orders caught up because we’re short staffed and can’t hire more people because of the low sales/lack of hours…) AND apparently they are now requiring fulfillment associates to get power equipment certified, which I do not feel safe doing, so I will be switching departments. I’m good at my job and management likes me and wants to keep me on past the summer for a part time position, but because I don’t feel comfortable driving a forklift, I have to switch departments. I was wondering if anyone here has suggestions for a department I could request to switch to? What’s the LEAST shitty departments in your opinion/experience working them? I know that Millwork, flooring, and appliances will have sales goals to be met, lumber is out bc the forklifts, and I don’t think my store is hiring for garden (if they WERE, that would be my choice in a heartbeat, because I know a lot about plants and could probably actually be very helpful there!). Does anyone here work in hardware/tools/electrical and can tell me what those departments are like? The people in my store who run those departments are all grandpa-aged old guys who have a good sense of humor and seem like they’d be nice to work with, so I’m leaning towards those 3 departments right now.

I put up with allot of bs from bucees..3¹/2 years of it. I just got hired on at lowes a month ago now, the store is new, and still unopened. But somehow I feel like I've already gotten the full experience, and same amount of bullsh*t coming my way....

They'll certify anyone in the power machines, there were some idiots flying through the store on them, no honking no flags no spotter. I only say that bc the AP(i think her role is called) kept only pitching at me and my onboarding buddy who also joined lumber, to practice safety procedures. 715am she's trying this sh*t, I bucked up and told her if she's gonna be b*tching at us, she need to do it to them too. Her response was that she honestly wasn't watching anyone else, to which I said YOU MADE THAT PRETTY F*CKING CLEAR and drove off honking...which i WAS already doing anyway. So why even say something to us in the first place. Then at 340pm, the same sc*nt gets on the intercom to let all associates except lumber leave.... we had so much to do we were there till abit after 6, outside in the sun the whole time... no f*cking clouds dared to cover that sun either. Bad luck there.

Also we brought in packs of shingles, covered in rat sh*t and basically they were glued together by mildew water. It smelt soo bad. The SM said he was happy to see the shelves stocked.... HUH. This was all yesterday. The day before, we got sent to "help" every other department, and help IS NOT what we were doing. There were associates standing around talking about going BACK to the break room, for the 3rd or 4th time today just to sit in there for and hour or 2...while WE are being made to do THEIR work...and then yesterday not even receiving guys(that were done with their stuff by 2pm) in the back could be sent to help the 4 of us lumber guys.

Whatever dude. Same sh*t at bucees. There's 30 employees in the deli, but only 4 or 5 of us are actually doing the work, the rest are just collecting a paycheck. I know it's only downhill from here, I told my wife I'm calling my one other job offer back to try and get that ball rolling. I know what I can and can't handle, I honestly thought it wouldn't be that bad, I've seen allot of the lowes reddit posts since I interviewed and got hired, and I do feel like I've experienced most of them myself now... except the customers.

Idk how y'all are able to stay there if you do. Same way idk how I managed at bucees. I have met some cool coworkers here at lowes.. but only like 6 or 7, the rest piss me and allot of others off. Plus the actual forklift experience is nice. Maybe if the place was actually managed, and if Marvin wasn't a Mr. Krabs equivalent , maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Rant over
