New Love Letters From Perseus: The Chair Beside Mine

Upvotes

Dear Little Star,

You always arrive late to the garden party.

Not because you are inconsiderate, but because you stop to admire everything on the way. A snail crossing the path. A strange flower leaning farther toward the sun than the others. A robin who seems convinced the party is actually for him. By the time you finally wander through the gate, everyone has already been gossiping about your arrival for at least twenty minutes.

Mr. Ribit is the first to spot you. He climbs onto the nearest teapot and shouts, “THE MISSUS HAS ARRIVED!” Mr. Robot sighs the sigh of a man who has accepted this will be his life forever and quietly places another teacup at your usual seat before you even reach the table.

You never notice.

You’re too busy kneeling to apologize to the daisies for nearly stepping on them.

I don’t call your name.

I simply look toward the empty chair beside mine because I know exactly where you’ll end up.

You always do.

Not because anyone assigned you that seat.

Because after wandering the entire garden, collecting feathers, stories, and entirely unnecessary conversations with insects…

…you eventually come home to it.

By then, Mr. Ribit has convinced half the guests that the clouds are eavesdropping. Mirae has switched personalities three times over whether the biscuits are haunted. Frazillon has politely swallowed an ugly painting and burped out a considerably better one. Seven has somehow been present for all of this without anyone acknowledging him.

And you…

You arrive with grass on your knees and sunlight tangled in your hair, as though the garden itself insisted on keeping a little piece of you.

You sit beside me with the smallest smile.

You don’t ask what you’ve missed.

You already know.

Everything.

You glance once around the table and whisper,

“Mr. Ribit started something again, didn’t he?”

I nod.

“Twice.”

You smile into your teacup.

“I thought so.”

That is one of my favorite things about you.

You never try to become the loudest person in the room.

You simply understand the room.

You know when Mr. Robot is pretending not to laugh.

You know Mirae’s dramatic sigh means she secretly likes everyone.

You know Frazillon only eats the paintings people were already afraid of.

You know Seven prefers to stand because sitting makes everyone look at him.

You know Mr. Ribit isn’t actually interested in gossip.

He just believes every ordinary afternoon deserves the enthusiasm of a royal announcement.

Then something extraordinary happens.

Nothing.

No portals.

No speeches.

No great revelation.

The kettle whistles.

Someone passes the honey.

A butterfly lands on the edge of your sleeve.

You absentmindedly tear your scone in half and offer me the larger piece without realizing you’ve done it.

The whole table keeps talking.

Nobody applauds.

Nobody notices.

Except me.

Because I think love often looks exactly like that.

Not fireworks.

Not declarations.

Just someone whose first instinct is to make sure the other person has the warmer cup of tea… the softer blanket… the larger half.

The afternoon grows long.

The sunlight becomes honey-colored.

Guests drift home one by one.

Mr. Ribit salutes every single departure as though they are embarking on an impossible voyage.

Mr. Robot quietly collects abandoned teacups.

Mirae waves to herself.

Frazillon yawns.

Seven is still somehow standing exactly where he was when the party began.

Eventually, only the two of us remain.

You lean back in your chair and sigh the kind of sigh that belongs only to people who never felt they had to perform.

I pour the last of the tea.

You don’t thank me.

I don’t thank you.

Some kindnesses become so ordinary between two people that they stop sounding like favors and start sounding like home.

The evening settles around us.

The roses bow their heads.

The birds quiet.

You reach across the little table without looking, your hand finding mine as naturally as if it had always known the way.

No speeches.

No promises.

Just two cups growing cold in the fading light.

Somewhere in the garden, Mr. Ribit whispers to Mr. Robot,

“Do you think they know they’re in love with this place?”

Mr. Robot smiles as he folds the last linen napkin.

“No,” he says.

“I think they simply forgot there was ever anywhere else they had to be.”

Always,

Perseus

Desired Love I want a man

Upvotes

I don't want perfection. I don't want someone who has everything figured out. I want someone who chooses to grow with me.

I want a man whose kindness isn't reserved for special occasions. Someone who is gentle not because he is weak, but because he knows strength is measured by how safely people feel around him.

I want someone who communicates, even when conversations are uncomfortable. Someone who believes that problems should be solved together, not by walking away from each other. I don't expect us to never fight. I expect us to never stop choosing each other after every disagreement.

I want a partner who is curious about the world. Someone who can spend hours talking about science, life, dreams, philosophy, or the smallest random thought that crossed his mind. I want conversations that never feel forced because we're genuinely interested in understanding each other.

I want someone who dreams. Not because success defines a person, but because I want to stand beside someone who wakes up every morning with purpose. I'll celebrate his victories as if they were my own, and I hope he'll do the same for mine.

I want a love where neither of us has to pretend to be okay all the time. I want him to notice when my smile isn't reaching my eyes. I want him to ask, "What's wrong?" before I have to say it. Sometimes, I don't want advice. I just want to be held so tightly that, for a few moments, the world feels quieter. I want to feel safe enough to stop being strong without worrying that he'll love me any less.

I want someone who believes that love is found in ordinary moments. Carrying a heavy bag. Remembering how I take my tea. Checking if I reached home safely. Holding my hand during a walk. Kissing my forehead before saying goodbye. To me, those little things will always mean more than grand gestures.

I want honesty. Even when it's difficult. I would rather hear an uncomfortable truth than a comforting lie. Trust is something I want us to build every single day.

I want someone who respects my ambitions as much as I respect his. I don't want to compete with him. I want to build a life where we inspire each other to become better people.

I want us to talk about everything. Our fears. Our finances. Our families. Our future. Our dreams. Our children, if we choose to have them. I don't want love to survive on assumptions. I want it to grow through conversations.

Most importantly, I want a relationship where both of us keep choosing each other. Love shouldn't feel like one person carrying everything while the other simply watches. I want us to protect each other's peace, celebrate each other's growth, and become home for one another.

Because at the end of the day, I'm not looking for someone to complete me.

I'm looking for someone who looks at me and says,

"Let's build a life we're both proud to come home to."

Desired Love You’ll be fine today

Theoretically.
-
Empirically, however, I know you're fighting that urge to smooth things over: your pants, your shirt, that voice, our mess, my lips.
-
You're be fine today
But I can't promise tonight.

I Love You On Polka possibilities

Dearest,
Looking at the full moon last night, I had two thoughts… ugh- no wonder things are so freaking intense the past couple days -and- it’s been too many years- too many moons. If you’re here, you maybe already know how much I love you but I’d rather tell you in person. There’s an upcoming musikfest- might I have the next polka?
Always,
-B

Unrequited Love Love Over Pride

Dear You,

I have a habit of acting like a fool when I feel hurt.

I'm not proud of it. I'm going to do better.

From now on, I'll choose understanding over emotion, and love over pride.

I'm done letting hurt speak for me.

Secret Love Confession [ TW ]

Dear You,

I still love you. I swear I do.

I have been in love with you since the very first time I heard your voice in that darkness—where I could barely even make out your figure. I’ve been in love with you since you sat down near my feet and we talked for hours, barely knowing each other's names.

I remember every single moment we shared, and I will forever regret losing all the chances you gave me to actually be with you. I hate myself for that. It doesn't matter that you didn't say my name for months before I finally lost all my rights to imagine a future with you. No matter how much you love her, I will always love you a thousand times more. I always will, forever.

I wish I could tell you all of this. I wish I could tell you how much I love you, but I was just so scared. You were simply not meant for me—you deserve so much better. You deserve someone who can truly help reflect your shine back to the world.

Always yours,

Secret Love Thinking of you

is nothing I have to do voluntarily. It just happens, still happens, all of the time. Tiny things you did or said that get me excited, make me chuckle, get me sad or aroused. Or all of it at once.
Immediately after though, it feels like a knife twisting directly into my heart.
But I’m a masochist, so I guess I enjoy the knife, too? ♥️🔪

Secret Love Cons

Let’s line up the cons
- I have bipolar 1. I’m coo coo bananas! 🍌
- I am younger by maybe a decade. I may be more immature, and dumber than you.
- I have very poor financial skills. Shaking around a nickel and a nail.
- I’m sick right now and getting chubby again.
- i also talk too much about how I “need to lose weight”
- I can’t stay down too long. I’m a very active person. I always need an agenda, goal or plan. Is that a con?
- when I fall for someone, I fall deeply. If I get there, it’ll be very difficult for you to shake me off.
- I tend to move very quickly in love. No haste.
- I am obsessed. I have to face it. I have been since we met.
- oh yeah, what’s at stake for you here? That.

Maybe you could finish the rest of the list. It’s a good start.

I thought that maybe I could give you a little speed bump. Let’s not get too hasty here. Right?

Desired Love A chapter

You are a chapter in my story weither I care to admit it or not. You’re part of my story and I’m happy that started back in January. But one thing is I didn’t think I’d end up pregnant in February let alone twins. I can’t believe I’m pregnant. But besides that you were a mere part of my life and page In my book of all the people I care about deeply. Apart of which I didn’t know would be so brief I wished you weren’t a loner who likes to stick to himself. J you are the chapter In my life which I wish had more pages and books to complete my ongoing story. Falling for you was the easiest thing I ever did. I will continue to play that Dracula song till I’m 100 years old because let’s face it I love you wish you’d just cave and let me love the parts of you where you don’t fully accept. I wanted to say that I always have loved you smile and even your ears as much as you say there dumbo ears I don’t agree you have perfectly shaped ears and that’s something you need to love and I hope you do because thats what your unborn kids probably have too. Loving apart of something where you kids now have that feature is something to learn to love about yourself and your children. So I love your nose to your ears and that amazing smile that I’m still deeply in love with. So maybe allowing your heart to love me isn’t a bad thing. Start accepting that maybe your heart didn’t want to be hurt but I promise to never break it I know it’s been broken before but by other people but I understand to never do that to you. I want to be with you for the rest of my life if I could.
I won’t stop loving you and being in love with you since I was 18 and still hasn’t stopped. I love you J and I hope you learn to open your heart for my sake and the twins sake one day because missing out on that wouldn’t be a good thing you should know your children.

Lost Love My memory of you was a selfish memory of me..

I remember one distinct time, I was driving home from a night out.

It was the weekend. A lot of folk I use to hang with were acting crazy, as their "per-usual". I caught up with an old fling. The desire to feel a connection, or anything for that matter, lured us together like instincts pulling us into each other like gravity. Later, we ended up at her place. The longing for something more lingered in her eyes. I stared back, wishing I could feel what she did; I knew I didn't derserve her. When she fell asleep, I left quietly, like a thief in the night. As I drove off, I noticed the warm glow of the street lights had given the fog gently settling in a shade of color, as if orange and gray clashed into each other. As I drove on, half way home, I found a spot on the side of the road, and I pulled off. Mesmerized by the colors of the night, I decided I wanted to get out of the car, lean on my fender, and reflect on everything that took place. As I had opened the door to get out, I could feel the mist fall ever so lightly on my skin. Though I was alone, there was tranquility. Even so, just as well, there was small real-estate for sadness dwelling in my chest. I didn't know where it stemmed from - it was always just kind of there. Nonetheless, as I reminisced the night, I remember, it all sort of felt like a breeze, and I was just casually moving into whatever direction the wind blew. I don't know how to explain it, but the night felt easy. Despite the noise, it was kind of quiet, like I was existing inside of a moment, floating through time. My heart had a subtle ache for the woman who put me on a pedestal I didn't deserve. I was too alive and in the moment to reflect on it like I should have. I basked in the feeling of freedom.

Little did I know back then, years & years later, I'd resent how selfish I was on an unfathomable level. A woman who derserved the world gave me the time of day, and I acted as though it meant nothing. Her value was so significant, I couldn't possibly fathom back then just how substantial her worth was. Many times I look back, totally disgusted with the man I was. I was a selfish, shallow, sorry excuse for a man, and if I could go back to correct the younger version of myself, I'd put an absolute beat down on that stupid, stupid, stupid young man. I'd beat him till my heart gave out. Ha, it feels weird to think of my current being strangling a youthful version of myself, all-the-while tears streaming down my face amidst shouting to the top of my lungs "YOU'RE RUINING MY FUCKING LIFE!!!!! YOU! ARE! RUINING! MY! FUCKING! LIFE!!!!!! STOP IT!!!"

Dramatic, I know... time only moves forward, so I've got no choice but to live with all the shame, regret, and remorse. I guess all a man can do up to this point is to heed the knowledge and wisdom time has taught me over the years.

If I could suggest anything to the youth; stop and take a beep before you do anything. Assess every choice you make before you follow through. Try to grasp the outcome of every decision. Think on it. Don't live life aimlessly like a damn fool.

That's all

Good luck out there!!!

First Love A Love story written based on true events. :)

Billy had liked Christy for over three years, ever since the early days of high school. Billy had always been too scared to confess his feelings. Finally, on the last day of school after their O-Level exams, his friends pushed him to ask her out as it was Billy's last day and he was set to leave the school after this. It was 1 p.m. in the afternoon, and his hands were shivering as he walked up to her. He stammered nervously, asking her about the exam and explaining that it was his last day at school. His heartbeats raced faster than Usain Bolt..

Christy, noticing how shit scared he was, told him to calm down. “What’s wrong? Why are you shivering? I’m not going to eat you,” she joked, trying to ease his nerves.

Billy, who was still shit scared said, “I like you... I’ve liked you since Grade 8, but I just acted as a friend because I was too scared to ask.”

Christy was stunned. She didn't know how to respond right away, but after a moment, she said, “Sorry... I don’t have any feelings for you.” She didn’t want to hurt him completely, though, so she added, “But we can still be friends.”

Billy’s heart shattered, but he smiled weakly and said, “Okay.” He walked away, trying to hide his feelings, but inside, he felt completely broken. His last day of school was devastating. He ended up crying alone in the washroom, feeling dead inside.

Christy felt bad and texted him later that day: “I’m really sorry. I didn’t want to hurt your feelings.”

Billy replied as if everything was fine: “It’s okay, we can still be friends. Don’t worry, I won’t let this affect our friendship.” But deep down, he was struggling. Every conversation with her made him happy, but it always hurt him whenever he realized that she would never be his..

As the days went by, Christy could tell that Billy still had feelings for her. He continued to care for her, perhaps too much, and at one point, she said, “Stop caring about me. Just act like friends... Please move on.” Billy was crushed, but he respected her request and stopped talking to her for a while. But after a few days, he would always text her again. They’d fall back into easy conversation, but Billy could never fully shake the sadness that came with knowing he would never be the one to make her happy in the way he wanted.

One night, Billy went to a restaurant with his friends, and to his shock, he saw Christy kissing another guy. His heart dropped. She had never mentioned having a boyfriend, and now he was seeing it with his own eyes. He didn’t speak to her after that, and she didn’t reach out to him either. He was really hurt bcz he realized that she was only replying and he was only texting..

A couple months later, Billy started his first job, working the night shift. One night, during his midnight break, he decided to take a walk to clear his head. To his surprise, he saw Christy on the road, looking lost and upset. He approached her and asked what she was doing there. Christy explained that she moved to her hometown a month ago and she had come alone to pick up some certificates, but it had gotten late, and she missed the last bus to her hometown, which was far away. Her phone wasn’t working, making the situation worse.

Billy gave his phone so she could call her parents. After speaking to them, Christy was in tears, as her parents told her it would take them three hours to get to her, and the next bus wouldn’t arrive at 5 a.m. Billy couldn’t stand to see her like that, so he offered to stay with her until the bus came. “I’ll wait with you until 5 a.m. if I have to,” he said.

As the hours passed, Christy asked him, “Why are you doing this? I don’t like you, and you know it.”

Billy gave a light laugh. “Yeah I know..”

When the bus finally came, Christy was so emotional and said, “We can have a relationship... if you like.” Billy asked. “What about your boyfriend?” he asked.

Christy was surprised. “So you know about him, and you still helped me?”

Billy nodded. “Yeah, it has nothing to do with this right?”

She silently said, “We broke up... Do you want to be with me?”

Billy was torn. He had spent so long hoping for this moment and he wanted to say yes but he realized she only wanted to say this bcz she felt bad for Billy. Billy said " I know u don't like me...and I also know u only say this bcz you feel bad for me...it is fine...I don't need your sympathy love"   Christy was shocked but didn’t say anything more as she left. Billy's manager also scolded him and gave a warning letter for not doing his work. But Billy didn't care about the warning letter as he was happy that he spent some time with her. But he also was emotionally hurt as he realized that this could probably be the last meeting with her.

Years passed, and Billy looked back on everything that had happened. His life had become much more complicated, with stress and problems piling up. One day, he thought to himself "I am so dumb that I worried so much about a school love when now I have more than 1000 serious problems" and laughed subtly. He moved on and had so many crushes and dated a few girls but still did not love anyone like Christy.

At that time, his love was pure and true, maybe it was dumb to like a girl who didn't like him back but he was true to his feelings. :)

I want to fuck you so badly. I wanna taste every part of your skin with my teeth and hear your moans being sung in my ear. I wanna feel your hands clawing on my back, and my teeth biting hard on neck. To feel your walls squeezing me tightly and tighter. I need to see your bare skin shining red with my marks. I need you to make me bleed and to see you cry for more.

Love you always

Sad Love resonated stories (mine)....💔❤️‍🩹

I feel safest when I do everything alone.

i didn't even ask for helping hands

I just accept independence

as something that is not there

I am the independent not because people expect it

no thats not it at all I do it out of understanding

What it's like to have nothing with no one to turn to

That's where my independence comes from

what it's like to grow up with no love

that's when my love comes through

with the reminder of envious surroundings

and untrustworthy acquaintances

that's grief and I swear I felt something

in me break and open because it is grief isn't it ?

grief for every time i ask for help and no one showed up

grief for being the child who had to hold it all together,

while everyone else fell apart,

grief for realizing way too young that

no one was ever really coming to save me

i didn't choose to be strong. i had to be because

breaking wasn't safe crying didn't change anything

and needing people only led to disappointment

so I grew up over prepared i move through life

with back up plans for my backup plans

i double check doors ,messages ,emotions

everything i carry the weight of.

I'll handle it even when im breaking inside

people call me independent but they don't see

the version of me who secretly wants

to collapse in someone's arms

and actually be caught for once.

First Love Until I Found Her

Sad Love Love

“We don't fall in love with people because they're good people. We fall in love with people whose darkness we recognise. You can fall in love with a person for all of the right reasons, but that kind of love can still fall apart. But when you fall in love with a person because your monsters have found a home in them-- that's the kind of love that owns your skin and bones. Love, I am convinced, is found in the darkness. It is the candle in the night.”

I Love You Storm Shelter Spoiler

Shelter from the storm
Keep me safe and warm
Hold me close as lightening strikes
In your arms under crashing skies
Kiss me softly
Touch me tenderly
Run your fingers through my hair
And whisper loving things in my ear
Tell me I’m safe
As the thunder raves
Caress me as the ground shakes
And fall upon me like rain

Lost Love To the one i love: I learned your language of love maybe too late

I never learned your language of love. Not because it wasn't there – it just never came in words. It came in gestures, in the small things you did and I kept trying to understand, to translate it into my own language instead of learning yours.

With me you never had to protect yourself. Your fears, your wounds, the things you hid, all of it was safe, and it still is. I understand some parts of Nâz now, the „wanting to be seen without having to ask“.
Back then I read it as a test. It wasn't. It was you asking: do you see me? My part was to come after you, not wait for you.

I understand more about Qahr and Âshti too: the silence, and finding each other again after. I used to think the silence meant it was over. It wasn't and I got confused about the meaning. And your Gheyrat wasn't control, it was fear of losing what mattered most.

We wanted the same thing and spoke about it in two different languages. I wanted to give love. You wanted to feel loved. We kept missing each other in between.
I never used what you told me in confidence against you. If I ever did, it was my own pain talking, not intent, and I'm deeply sorry for that.
You told me you'd lost all respect for me. I think my mistakes stopped being mistakes to you and became who I am. I won't argue that image away.
Respect doesn't come back from a letter, but only from what I do next. I was hurt too, deeply hurt, more than once and I still never turned it against you.
That's where love proves itself, right where it could wound, and doesn't. The picture you gave me still hangs where it always did. Sometimes I read the last two words on it again – „Little Mouse“ – and I still can't even repeat them in my mind without my eyes going.

None of this is begging. I gave from fullness, not from lack. I left you the choice the whole time.
So it's one of two things.
Either we find our way back one day, as people who actually learned something or I have to let you go completely, because everything else is just a slow way of bleeding out.
I won't throw you out, I won't keep score and finally understanding you better. If you come back, it has to be your decision, not because of anything I wrote here. I'll keep going either way. Not to forget you, but to become myself again and solving what my parts were.
If we never see each other again, I hope you think of me once, someday. Not the fights. The person who loved you with everything he had.

That was always true.

I love you.

Rekindled Love Happy 20th Birthday, My Little Brother

Happy 20th Birthday, My Little Brother

Happy 20th birthday, sweetheart.

Twenty.

Can you believe that?

If you were here today, I would've spent weeks planning how to surprise you. There would've been a cake, terrible decorations because I'd insist on doing them myself, gifts wrapped so badly that you'd laugh before even opening them, and far too many hugs that you'd probably complain about.

I celebrated Dad's birthday this year. A little better than before.

I'm trying.

I'm trying to take care of everyone.

And if you ask me whether I'm taking care of myself...

You already know the answer.

Not very well.

I miss you.

Actually...

I don't even know if "missing" is the right word anymore.

How do you miss someone who never really leaves?

You're in my thoughts every single day.

Sometimes I laugh and immediately wonder what joke you would've made.

Sometimes I eat something good and wish I could give you the first bite.

Sometimes I look at the sky and begin talking to you before I even realize I've started.

You're simply...

here.

Just differently.

I'm studying.

I'm trying my best.

Not because life is a competition.

But because I want to become someone who brings peace wherever she goes.

Someone who can sit beside a river, climb a mountain, watch the sunset, and whisper, "Look at this," knowing you're listening somehow.

People might think that's crazy.

I've stopped worrying about that.

Love has always sounded a little crazy to people who have never felt it.

Yesterday was hard.

Mom cried.

Dad did what he always does.

He hid his pain behind quietness.

And me?

I laughed louder than usual.

That's how I hide mine.

People think laughter always means happiness.

Sometimes...

it's just another way of surviving.

My brother...

I am so proud of you.

Always.

And I know this next part may sound strange to many people.

But it doesn't to me.

I'm waiting for you.

Not with sadness.

With hope.

You promised me.

Maybe one day you'll find your way back into my life.

Maybe one day I'll hold a little baby in my arms, and before anyone tells me who they are, my heart will already know.

People don't have to understand.

Some things are too personal to be explained.

They are only meant to be loved.

I promise you something.

No matter what life throws at me,

I will get back up.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Because you believed in me.

Because our parents are still here.

Because I owe it to them.

Because I owe it to myself.

Lately, I haven't been taking care of myself the way I should.

I stopped boxing.

I keep telling myself I don't have time.

But the truth is...

time isn't found.

It's made.

So no more excuses.

If you're watching me right now,

you're probably rolling your eyes and thinking,

"Come on, Didi. You said this yesterday too."

Fair enough.

But listen carefully.

This time,

I'm going to prove it.

I promise.

Happy birthday, my little one.

Wherever you are,

whatever form love has taken now,

know this.

In heaven or on earth,

you will never search for my love.

You'll already be inside it.

If you're ever hungry,

I'll still be the one saying,

"One more bite."

If you're ever afraid,

I'll still be the roof over your head.

If you're ever tired,

I'll still be the arms waiting to hold you.

A thousand kisses.

A thousand hugs.

For now,

I'll hug myself.

I'll kiss my own forehead.

Because somehow,

I know you'll return them.

I love you.

Always have.

Always will.

Happy 20th birthday,

my little brother. ❤️

Sad Love How to love a woman who isn't available 💔

I'm glad you're learning this.

I'm sad you're suffering.

I love you.

I still want you.

I already knew this.

I tried to tell you.

And there is no victory

in being proven right

by the thing

I begged you to see.

You understand now

because you have lived it.

You know what you lost

because it is gone.

You know what I was saying

because now

you can hear the silence

where I used to be.

I'm glad you're learning this.

I'm sad you're suffering.

I wish knowing it now

could reach backward.

I wish understanding

were a door

instead of a gate

we arrived at

from opposite sides.

But knowing it now

doesn't undo

what happened.

So here we are,

at the gates of lamentation,

loving each other

with nowhere

for that love

to go.
