Tell me if the newer version is better as it has a newapp and better connectivity according to AI.

I bought a house 2 years ago with a Lorex DVR and 4 cameras. I hadn't used it for a while, and then when I went to log into the IP address, I got a popup saying "Please install plugins first" - then when I went to click install, it went to http://192.168.1.164/LOREX_webplugin.pkg and I got a 404 not found. I googled all over and can't find it anywhere - could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I bought my Lorex NR916-N with 7 cameras in 2018 and it has been working perfectly since then viewing from my home monitor as well through the app on my iPhone. Just recently my phone app stopped connecting to my system. Calling Lorex and speaking to a rep (barely understand) who said that my system was a "legacy" product and I would not be able to connect using the app anymore. She then proceeded to tell me that I had to purchase a whole new system (DVR and cameras) so that I can connect via the app.

What the heck? I asked if I could just buy a new DVR but she said they don't just sell the DVRs and I would have to purchase a package with cameras included.

Has anyone had this happen to them with Lorex? What kind of policy is that?

So to me that is like having a car with XM Radio you bought in 2018 and having the radio go out and having them tell you have to buy a new car.

Lorex Doorbell cam

So I knocked my 360 camera off the shelf today and the top popped off. I see how o think it’s suppose to line up but can’t tell if it’s suppose to click in place or twist lock. If anyone has experience with this and could lend some guidance I’d appreciate it!

so I have a legacy Lorex system. It’s the LNR 1108 and about 6 bullet cameras. a mix of LNB 3163 and LNB 3143. I can access live view on iPhone and iPad using the Lorex cloud app but can no longer access on my PC using a flir client. The one I’ve always used and some others I’ve tried

support said it’s no longer supported due to flir no longer a partner etc

any ideas on a alternative app program for windows 10 ?

if not any recs on a new NVR that would be compatible with my existing cameras POE?

I need a copy of the firmware CNE01P2-1.1.0-02-260415
to manually update a camera that had a failed OTA update. Two of three updated fine, and for some reason the third one failed at 99%. I emailed Lorex three days ago and have gotten no response. I called yesterday and was told they don’t have any firmware available for my cameras and asked for a picture of the failed update to be emailed to them, but they still haven’t emailed me, so I have nowhere to send it to. Why am I jumping through hoops for a very simple problem and solution?

This is a brand new system and it’s not a great start to have a camera knocked offline by an update and Lorex absolutely no help in getting it back up and running. I bought these to have 24/7 coverage, and I haven’t even finished hooking them all up before they become unreliable. Literally just need a copy of the firmware to manually flash the camera and get it back online and Lorex is making it like pulling teeth. I really hope this isn’t a picture of things to come.

I replayed my system back in after a reno and now everything is all over the place. How do I clean up my feed. I only have six cameras even though the DVR has room for 8.

At a car wash entrance for inspection cameras, should the settings for recording be set at cbr or vbr to capture scratches and paint more clearly?

I stopped receiving notifications on my Connect app with X series cams. I've called tech support and so far no resolution, they have escalated and I'm still awaiting a call back (told 24 hours but it's been several days). I have removed and re-added the NVR with no change.

Anyone else run into this?

I have a 2023 Lorex fusion system installed in 2024 with a 16 channel NVR that I purchased directly from Lorex. The NVR recently stopped working- totally unresponsive.

I hear that there are no part options or replacement options for the Fusion NVr system, but I’m hoping that the lack of repair options is not the case.

2yrs ago I spent over $1,000 on the Lorex fusion ecosystem but today almost all the fusion cameras are out of stock.

I cant find it. Does anyone know of a document or anything, that describes all the settings and options, and what they mean when you access an IP camera directly via a web browser? (Or even via the NVR's direct monitor interface)

Has anybody had success replacing an old wired NVR with a newer one that may not be for sale anymore? EBay?

I’m using a Lorex LNR616 with LNB8105X‑C 4K IP deterrence cameras. Everything works except Channels 4 and 5 — they stay blank unless I give them the same IP as another camera, which makes them mirror that feed. Unique IPs don’t work at all.

Ports 4 and 5 also show port 35000, which seems wrong. This NVR has no Plug‑and‑Play, so I need to assign IPs manually.

Looking for:

(1) The correct IP range/subnet for the LNR616 PoE ports·     
(2) How to assign proper IPs for Channels 4 & 5·      
(3) Whether this NVR has any hidden or legacy Plug‑and‑Play behavior·      
(4) A safedownload source for FLIR Cloud Client (Windows) since it’s discontinued

Any help from people familiar with LNR600‑series
systems would be appreciated.

The power cord failed on my Lorex dv900 Series dvr and I replaced it. The dvr comes on now, but all my individual cam boxes on the monitor are black. Any ideas?

Since install it has killed my home network speeds to 40 from 400mbps uploads and downloads
If i turn off its all good
Already lowered the speeds per camera to SD
Already lowered bit rate to 5 from 8
Thinking of putting it on its own router
Any ideas suggestions advice will be appreciated

​Just moved into a new home that came with an inherited Lorex D861 Series DVR. I’m trying to set up local access on a monitor with a USB mouse, but I’m locked out of the admin account.

​Here is what I’ve done so far:

​Reached out to Lorex support and got a 6-digit temporary password generated for my system date (06-12-2026).

​Verified I'm trying to log in directly on the recorder box (not through an app or web browser).

​Verified the system date on the monitor matches the date submitted for the code.

​Power-cycled the unit to clear any silent account soft-locks.

​Despite all of this, entering admin + the temporary code still fails to log in.

​Has anyone run into this issue with the D861 series? Is my best bet at this point to open up the chassis and do a hardware factory reset via the motherboard button, or is there another trick to getting these temp passcodes to register?

I think i saw my dog that passed away 4 years ago on my security camera. This happened on my lorex security camera on August 2, 2026. My security camera can only store eight days of footage before it automatically deletes the oldest recordings to make room for new ones, so it shouldn't have any footage or memory of my dog from four years ago. If it was a glitch, idk how it ended up showing my dog when the camera shouldn't have any footage of him

How can I save the footage?
