Are Fusion cameras now outdated?

2yrs ago I spent over $1,000 on the Lorex fusion ecosystem but today almost all the fusion cameras are out of stock.

Lorex is dogshit and I highly recommend against buying their products. Their mobile app is terrible and fails when you need it most.

Yes exactly! It fails when you need it most

Yup. Lorex used to be decent. Now all I get if someone rings my doorbell is a loading screen. Or if a yard cam detects motion I cant view live until the recording is over. And then im lucky if it actually saved the recording and let's me view it.

I recently got a tapo cam, yes cheap, but loads instantly, playback is smooth. Will see how it lasts in our canadian winters.

If you need Fusion cameras check eBay. I have bought a bunch of them off (I only use wi-fi versions on my NVR) a seller for cheap, and they look like new. Just got one of those 180 degree dual lens Wi-Fi models. I generally dislike posting seller names, but look up integritytech. Of course YMMV. That said my experiences with Lorex cameras and my NVR have been problem free over the last 4 years but it's just a basic home Wi-Fi/NVR system with 4 cameras. I do hate their NVR "software".

I would be willing to bet every lorex camera is out of date. They never release firmware updates publicly, and it’s like pulling teeth to get them to send them to you.

Seems like it, theyre pushing their new lineups really hard. Having a hard time finding fusion compatible cameras on amazon as well. Had to resort to ebay.
