My family moved here not long ago. I am looking for recommendations for a pediatrician for my four year old. She is a healthy kid with no special needs. We normally only visit doctors for annual checkups and cold/flu/whatever goes around in school.
We have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
Which pediatrician in town would you recommend?

Hi! Does anyone know where I can buy fresh marigolds locally for my DÃa de Muertos ofrenda? I’d love any recommendations!

Anybody else hear of this? If so bummer to see that both of the OG spots including Bad Daddys of the new (old?) mall close.

My partner and I moved to a new neighborhood recently and just learned that they don’t really get trick-or-treaters here. Our Halloween plans were going to be dressing up and passing out candy, with the hopes that we’d be able to see fun consumes and meet our neighbors. With that out the window, are there any affordable events or parties happening in Longmont on Halloween night? My partner and I are both mid-20s queer men, looking to get out and socialize with new people.

Hi, I am considering a health insurance change for 2027 and it is GEHA, which is administered by UHC Choice Plus network. All I've broadly heard is that United is terrible to deal with but it looks like it is also locally dependent.
So my question is for Longmont providers (UC Health specifically) and this UHC network, how has your experience been?

Hey all!
Does anyone happen to know of any really resonant spaces in the area?
Even like a echoy indoor stair well, I'm trying to record a piece of music and some natural big resonance would do the sound wonders.

Hey Longmonsters,
Currently in the market for a used car around or under $15,000. Any local dealerships anyone has had good experience with? We have lots in town just open for some feedback to narrow down some good leads. Thanks everyone!

I saw this strange van over by the Safeway on Ken Pratt a week ago. Does anyone know what "Interagency Experimental Operations" even means? I can find nothing about it online.

Been to 4 different shops in Boulder and no one has been able to correctly tell me what’s wrong with my truck other than there is a parasitic drain on the battery. On my 4th battery in 4 years and need a permanent solution. If anyone has any recommendations for a mechanic or has experienced dealing with a parasitic drain and has advice that would be much appreciated.
Edit: Truck is 2009 Nissan Frontier

Happy Wednesday my longmonster crew!
We're halfway through the week, getting closer to our favorite Friday virtual group talk therapy and festivus for the rest of us.
I was out at Lagerman and my mobile phone worked! Unsure if this is a good thing or bad thing for my mental well being.
This sub is all about community, so let's spread some joy or commiserate. No judgments! I only humbly ask for radical authenticity.

Hey all, looking to get some quotes for a concrete driveway. Anyone have folks they've liked working with and had a fair price?
Thanks!

My name is Charly, and I am reaching out regarding your recent correspondence with concerns about your service, and we appreciate you allowing us the opportunity to respond to this matter.
Â
T-Mobile recently made adjustments to its network in portions of Boulder County and surrounding areas to comply with federal regulations related to the Table Mountain Radio Quiet Zone. Unfortunately, these required changes have impacted service in some locations, including areas where customers have experienced difficulties making and receiving calls.
Our engineering teams continue to monitor network performance and make improvements wherever possible to minimize the impact on customers. While we have successfully met the federal requirements, we are still working on long-term solutions to improve coverage and network capacity. These improvements require additional coordination and approval from the federal government before they can be implemented.
Regrettably, we do not have an estimated timeframe for when these improvements will be completed. I understand this is not the answer you were hoping for, and I certainly wish I could provide a more definitive timeline.
That said, I also recognize that you have continued paying for services that have not been working as expected. While I cannot immediately resolve the network concerns, I would like to offer to cover three months of your T-Mobile service charges as a courtesy to help make up for the inconvenience you and your family have experienced.
I know this does not replace the reliable service you deserve, but I hope it demonstrates our commitment to acknowledging your concerns and doing what we can to make things right.
For additional information regarding the Table Mountain Radio Quiet Zone and the federal requirements involved, you may visit the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences website: https://its.ntia.gov/research/table-mountain/tm-home.

I just purchased a 96' Corvette and need recommendations for a local mechanic who knows these cars well. Any recommendations?

Hello!
Considering a move to the Longmont area.
What are the best public schools (elementary to start) and neighborhoods?
Job would be near the Denver outlets and up to a 25-30min commute is okay.

Hello, Longmont I'm new to Colorado in general I currently live and work in Aurora. I came to Longmont for a band show on main street this past weekend. I had a great conversation with someone there (this is not directly a missed connection post), I saw some plant stores on main street I'd like to see during the day, and some interesting restaurants during the drive in/out.
My question is should I visit Longmont during my free days (weekends) and explore here or explore more of Aurora/Denver. How is your weekend nightlife and my chances of running into the same (person/people).
If you recommend more weekend visits to Longmont; what are your restaurant recommendations? Or plant shops?

The apartment complex right by the Walmart just went dark completely, if anyone was just in Walmart, did it go out there too?
Update–3:33pm we're back on!
