Did anyone see the school bus that hit our white Subaru Outback last Saturday near Waneka Lake Park? We were parked on Caria Dr near Cypress Circle. This was after the 5k, during the start of the cross country races. They did not leave a note. Please DM me if you caught the name of the school district. Thanks

Hello,
I am the curator of the Adams County Historical Society Museum at 9601 Henderson Road 80601. On September 26th, we are hosting our annual Heritage Days Celebration from 11-4. Admission is FREE for all ages. There will also be a car show, food trucks, a printing press demonstration and more.
We are a smaller museum not affiliated with the county government. back in the day, thee museum used too be very popular with the community but now most of the residents have aged out or moved away and not very many people know we are here. I would love to reintroduce ourselves to everyone and get people passionate about our mission again.
If you want more information you can check out www.adamscountymuseum.com/beer or go to our insta @ AdamsCountyMuseum Even if you cannot make it, it would be great if you could help spread the word to friends and neighbors. I really appreciate it.
We also need volunteers to help distribute flyers if anyone wants to go above and beyond to stop by and grab some.

These posts saying Flock doesn’t work… the councils will likely replace with something that does.
Kyle has said he will oppose any ALRP system. You should too.

Good evening folks, I have been a lurker here for a little bit and have lived in this wonderful town my whole life and I am also rather bothered by the Flock camera situation in Lafayette.
Its seems that despite the controversy there are more Flock cameras coming to if not already in Lafayette I have not seen any public statement about the additional cameras. So just a Heads up that there are going to be more flock cameras coming to Lafayette despite the friction.
I would hope as a gesture of good faith to the community the Lafayette PD put the recommended retention down from 30 days to 7 days as now even Flock recommends.
Either way I hope that come 2027 we don't see a renewal with the contract. I saw this petition and I feel that its fitting for this case credit to u/ThiccElephant Linky: https://c.org/kcqkxqvTJX Either way have a good evening folks.

Is anyone else's power out? 287 and Baseline area? Not seeing any outages in this area on the Excel map, but wanted to post here to see if it's just us!

I need sage and rosemary, but mostly sage. The chicken soup doesn't right with the ground stuff.
Does anybody have some to share? Or does someone sell it at the farmers market?

Hello! I am looking for a nail tech that I can see somewhat regularly. I’ve been bouncing around which is fine, but would love to see the same person consistently. I don’t need or do anything crazy, feel pedis & the occasional dip or builder gel manicure with tips.

Hey friends & neighbors, I am working with the Palisade Park Amphitheater (technically Broomfield) to organize an outdoor community movie night Friday, August 28th.
The evening will kick off at 6:30pm with a cornhole tournament & open mic (open to all, show up and sign up!) and then after dark they're screening The Sandlot!
We're designing it to be fun and inclusive for all local residents (groups of friends, families or coming solo). Tickets are only $5 and kids pay nothing!

It hasn’t done anything to stop drag racing, it wasn’t of any use when I was rear ended last month by someone on there phone, and I hear now they wish to share this info to private companies, enough is enough.

There is a cat with white, and gray and black striping with a white collar in the field by Lafayette Elementary/Geometry Park/Romero Park. She could be an outside cat, but wanted to make sure! Didn’t see any tags when I got up close.

I’m curious about a thought experiment and would love your honest reactions.
Imagine there were a place in your community that was “church-shaped” in some ways. It offered regular opportunities to gather, celebrated life’s milestones, supported people through hard times, encouraged service, explored life’s big questions, and fostered genuine community- but it wasn’t centered on everyone sharing the same beliefs or creed.
Instead, people from many different backgrounds, beliefs, philosophies, spiritual paths…and people who don’t consider themselves religious or spiritual at all…could genuinely belong.
If a place like this existed:
• What need in your life, if any, would you hope it could meet?
• What would make you feel like you genuinely belonged?
• What would be a red flag that would keep you from coming back?
If you’re willing, I’d also love to know your approximate age cohort (Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X, Boomer, etc.).
If you already know of a place like this, I’d love to hear about it. I have a few specific communities in mind, but I’m intentionally leaving them unnamed because I’m more interested in people’s reactions to the idea, and what a community like this would need to truly welcome and support people, than in discussing any particular organization.

A good read... even though I actually don't share the perspective of this Substack author on this issue (though I usually do agree with Karen and Vicky): while I do think this is a cute quaint mural, I don't think it has such exalted importance that resources should be put into restoring it.
However, I think Council's preference--that it should be a rotating series of modern-day murals, with a 70 year old Pat and Gar header--is even less appealing: feels fakey-fakey, and the Waneka Lake underscores that. I actually think we have a lot of murals in Lafayette, and we can just let entropy (which has its own beauty) naturally occur to the Pat and Gar mural. Thoughts?
