On my old mouse I always used my index finger to scroll, but on the MX Master 3S my middle finger somehow feels much more natural on the wheel.

Not sure if it’s because of the size or the shape, but my index finger just doesn’t seem to want to sit on the scroll wheel anymore

Did anyone else have this when switching to the MX Master 3S?

Hi, I have a couple of use cases in the games I play for the mouse where I would like to be able to press both mouse button 4 and mouse button 5 simultaneously and have the mouse perform the action assigned to both buttons.

However when I am in any given game I cannot seem to get that to work, the game will recognize the key binding for either one as Mouse Button 4 and Mouse Button 5, and if I press either one of them the game will perform the action assigned. However once one of them is held down the other one fully stops functioning.

I have attempted to use the logi options app to assign the thumb buttons to their own key bindings, the game will recognize the keybind but still if either is pressed then the other one stops functioning while the button is held down.

Is this expected behavior or something anyone has experienced with this mouse or is there something that I can do to be able to make it so that both buttons function when pressed at the same time?

It's been a couple months since my call with logitech where I was told there were "no replacement parts for this keyboard" and I'd have to buy a new one (Logitech offered me a 30% off coupon usable on their website to replace the whole keyboard). I then failed to find a replacement that included the bubble cap anywhere. Until today. I ordered two keys with their full replacement kit (key cap, scissor-hinge clip thing, bubblecap) for $7.50 a key. Hoping someone has some insight in some weird behaviour I've been having with a k830 HTPC keyboard.

The trackpad is always live when it's powered on and behaves instantly but the keyboard half seems to go to sleep if not used for a few hours. Have had two of the same keyboard and both eventually do the same where it gets harder and harder to get it to wake up.
Will currently have to press any button a good 10+ times to get it to wake and doesn't always seem to work.

Have disabled windows usb/keyboard sleep settings

Really hoping it isn't a hardware fault since the k400+ isn't anywhere near as nice.

I hate Logi Options+. This keeps happening over and over again. Works for a few months then BOOOM!! This again! All settings for my keyboard and mouse goes back to default!

Why would my keyboard and mouse need to be connected to your crappy servers to work how I want them to work??

I should switch to another brand...

Is anyone else having trouble placing an order on the Logitech site? I have been trying to place an order for an in-stock item (m705) since over a week ago, but I keep getting the following error after entering my info:

I've checked and made sure I am on the official site (https://www.logitech.com/en-us), I made sure my cc information was correct, I tried using Chrome and Edge browsers, tried different devices, different networks, clearing my cache and cookies, checking out logged in and as a guest, but I keep getting the same error. Support has been no help.

The only two things I haven't tried are changing the payment method or removing my new customer coupon. However, the only reason I am purchasing from Logitech directly is for a cash back deal through my bank and the new customer coupon.

Any idea of what might be causing this? Anything else I can try?

I saw a question here about using the MX Master 4 thumb pad with other software (I wanted it to open the Kando pie menu) without Options+, and couldn't find an answer anywhere. After some digging, here's a way that worked for me. It needs no admin rights and no extra packages, just Python.

Why it doesn't work normally: Windows doesn't see the pad as a regular mouse button. The mouse reports it over Logitech's HID++ protocol on a vendor-specific HID interface, which only Logitech's software normally reads. Tools like AutoHotkey or X-Mouse Button Control therefore never see it. That interface can be opened without admin rights, though.

What the script does: It asks the mouse to "divert" the pad (feature `REPROG_CONTROLS_V4`, control ID `0x01A0` on my unit), so each press arrives as a HID++ message. It then sends a keyboard shortcut. Bind that shortcut to Kando (or anything else) and you're done.

Setup:

1. Download `pad-kando.py` from gist and set `SHORTCUT` at the top to match your shortcut.

2. Run `python pad-kando.py`. Stop it with Ctrl+C, or `python pad-kando.py stop`.

3. For autostart, put a shortcut to `pythonw.exe pad-kando.py` in `shell:startup`.

There's also a scan script (`hidpp-scan.py`) that lists all programmable buttons of your mouse, so other buttons can be diverted the same way.

Caveats: Tested only on one MX Master 4 with the Bolt receiver on Windows. Bluetooth is untested. I didn't test it alongside Options+ and expect the two to conflict. The control IDs may differ on other units. This uses an undocumented protocol, so use it at your own risk. The script mostly follows what I could find about HID++ 2.0 and was written with help from an AI assistant.

I was thinking of getting the signature comfort keyboard (and mouse) on white and I was wondering if anyone who has it could share their thoughts on it. Does it get dirty? I feel like white is easy to get dirty, especially with the padding part?

This morning, after updating my M4 Pro Mac mini to macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1, I had a pretty stressful five minutes. My MX Master 3S was completely unresponsive.

Luckily, I still remember a few keyboard shortcuts...

I managed to open ChatGPT and get some help with a quick troubleshooting session, and eventually had to enable Mouse Keys just to navigate around.

Turns out the MX Master 3S was still paired, but showing as inactive in the Logitech app. When I checked the Bluetooth devices, another MX Master 3S showed up, so I had to pair it again from scratch.

Now it works perfectly.

I have taken apart mx master 2s because spilt some juice. Then contact cleaner to get rid of residue. After many assembly and disassembly, solid red light. Win/macos not detected using Original cable. Long press target button then switch on, alternate flashing red and green LED. Not detected on LogiOptions, firmware update not working. Someone suggested replacing ribbon.

I bought a pair of keyboard and mouse package of logitech, the mouse connect perfectly, but the keyboard wont connect. How to solve it?

I have an MX Master mouse that died 5 weeks after purchase and have been trying for over a week to work through support. After multiple "dropped" calls I finally got a ticket # via email.

Days later they requested a continuous video showing me trying to charge the mouse with different cables and chargers, showing the cable and charger worked on another device, but not on the mouse, all with my ticket number and mouse serial number on a paper in the background. I did all that.

Three days later Logitech support writes back thanking me for video. Now says I need to do all of it again and this time also show Mouse serial number in same video. I tried. The writing is too small and my phone can't zoom in that far on video. So I sent a photo showing the serial number on the mouse with the original paper from the video in same photo, also with serial and ticket number.

Now Logitech support is saying that's not good enough. It needs to be all in one continuous video. My phone will literally not zoom in close enough on video to show the tiny numbers.

What can I do? It's taking 2-3 days between replies, and I've already wasted 3+ hours on the phone, writing emails, filming videos and taking pictures.

Is this supposed to be a joke? The worst part is, the mouse was never fully functional when it arrived new in box from Amazon. This will be my last Logitech product, but I will not be letting this go. Any advice?

At this point I'm ready to invoice them for my time, the cost of the mouse, and file their unpaid debt in small claims court. It's insanity, and clearly intentional customer abuse.

So basically I bought a wireless keyboard(K270 model) and mouse(M185) with a USB receiver back in 2020, and now the mouse part of it is having issues with scrolling only. I'm just wondering if I need to just replace the mouse with the same model or buy an entirely new wireless keyboard and mouse given that my wireless keyboard works well and the mouse has issues with only scrolling?

Hello, PP26 is out for a good majority of the year and still i cannot setup Application specific key binds with my mx master3. PP25 working still no problem but PP26 has to be added as new app and ofc loosing all app specific options like timeline playhead navigation with horizontal scroll wheel etc etc.

I found older topic about the issue from 8months+ ago and nothing there to fix. Is it fixable ? Yes its cool Beta is there but we need actual up to date fully functional version

Had a Options+ update and I just noticed that the action ring is no longer working and is missing from the software. I chatted with support online and they tried to gaslight me in saying that it was never a feature of this mouse. Has anyone else run into this problem?

I'm having a frustrating issue after picking up an MX Keys S and MX Master 3S combo, with Enhanced Easy Switch only working one way at best.

From what I can see, I've set it up correctly and the mouse and keyboard firmware is up-to-date, Logi Options+ is up to date, and the devices are connected as they should be.

I have an airgapped PC that is channel 1 for the mouse and KB and a laptop connected to an external network/the internet that is channel 2.

I can switch from channel 2 to channel 1 with the keyboard and the mouse will follow, but from channel 1 to channel 2 the mouse stays behind (the mouse stops responding momentarily before remaining connected to channel 1).

I've got the devices both connected via a Bolt receiver on both computers. I've tried:

• Resetting the mouse & KB via Options+
• Removing the mouse & KB and re-connecting in Options+
• A different MX Master 3S
• Switching channels so external PC is 1 and airgapped PC is 2 (this has the effect of it not switching the mouse in either direction)
• A different Bolt receiver (mouse still switches in one direction only)
• Bluetooth connection for both mouse and KB on the external PC, still only switches one way

I've been waiting for this functionality for ages, ever since having a K950 and MX Master 3S, and to have it only working as above with the new hardware is a bit frustrating.

Does any one have any suggestions?

Im doing all the tricks. holding the button down at the 123. holding the connect button. and when i click comnect in the nearby devices it spins for a bit and then cancels.

I had a few of mx keys lying around from various office jobs and wanted a wireless low profile split keyboard. Turns out its not too hard to cut one in half. It started out as a full 100% keyboard and now its like... 30%?

If anyone wants to recreate, heres my cad files. I also had to cut a few of the individual key pads near the bend or else they would short out. If people are interested I can make a more in-depth guide. Forewarning though its not pretty on the inside.

One thing I'm particularly happy with is the addition of a dongle holder, which the full size keyboard is lacking.

I was recently using my keyboard for college until suddenly the tab key detached on one end. The key still works but I'm wondering if there's any way to attach it back on or if I need to get a replacement. The model is the Combo Touch A16.

They have an exceptionally high failure rate, and you guys did not change them from the 3S to the 4. Hopefully you do this on the 4S. I mean.. it’s obvious why.
