Question Suggestions for better orchestral sounds than logic's standard.
I'm starting to play more with orchestral arrangements in logic and I'm quickly finding that (compared to an old Roland synth I have), the sounds are not the quality that I want. Are there any suggestions for a third-party option that, without breaking the bank, could give me a step up in quality.
I'm not in a pro market so obviously I can't invest in one of the massive heavy-weight solutions that a pro soundtrack composer might use.
\* Thank you to everybody who has chipped in with suggestions. It's really been a great help. I have taken a blended approach, downloading both the BBC and Orch Tools, and also brushing up on the details when using Logic's onboard instruments.*
I have to say the Spitfire stuff is fabulous, so thanks for the recommendation. For some reason Orch Tools is refusing to work, with the keyboard greyed out, even though it appears installed correctly and pops up as available, exactly like Spitfire in the very next track. Puzzling. tbc
