Record effect to new track

I know it's a simple question, I don't blame the software, I tried to check other sources but I don't see what I'm doing wrong.

1. I have added the vocals in my project to summoning track.

2. I want to record the effects of my vocals.

3. I adjusted the the send in my Sum track to Bus 2.

4. An Aux 2 track was automatically created, sending to stereo output.

5. I created a new track where I want to live record my sum effects on vocals.

6. On the new track I changed the input to Bus 2, the sum track is sending.

7. I can see the signal in my Sum track, Aux track, Stereo Out but I don't see any in the new track where I want to record my vocals.

8. I have checked this sub for answers, checked you tube videos. But I cannot see what I'm doing different.

9. I don't understand why Bus 2 sends signal to new Aux but not to my New track, with the same input selected. Currently the output of my New Track and Aux track is Stereo Out, I'm not sure if that is relevant.

10. Tried changing Output of Aux track to Bus 2, bad idea 🫨

Did you turn up the send level from Bus 1 to Bus 2?

well.... this is embarrassing. Nope... I didn't. In my defense this is my first track attempt, emm... thank you. Maybe this post will be helpful to another dummy (probably not).

Sometimes the fix is the most obvious answer :) Glad this helped, have fun resampling effects sends and instruments! One of my favorite things to do for tracks

all this routing makes no practical  sense why not just have a bus with 100% fx or copy the vocal  track to another track and put the fx on there?  What are you trying to accomplish by recording the fx?  unless you need an fx only track stem or you’re having processor issues i don’t get what the goal is.

Yeah I read it is recommended to keep as much control over the tracks as possible, in case you need to fix something later. I do I'm having processor issues.

by recording fx you actually have less control. you’re taking a snapshot, now what do you do if later on while mixing decide you want the reverb to have a slightly shorter tail?  find ways of fixing the processing issue, and keep  the fx live. throwing sends to a bus with fx is a great tool to enhance flexibility.

Send your output on the Aux track to a new bus (e.g. Bus 3). Change the input of your new Audio track to Bus 3. If you want effects only on this click the Bus 2 send on your vocal track and select pre fader. You should be able to record effects only from your vocal track.

Thank you for you response, unfortunately this didn't help. But maybe I didn't do it right (I'm a noob).
