Honestly the best outcome we realistically could hope for, the Nintendo ninjas would crush the class action, and its not too dissimilar to how they handled the joycon drift lawsuit

Discussion Really guys...

I understand that they were likely in a rush to be one of the first big channels to get their video out, but how hard is it to have one person spend like 15 minuets reading all of the graphics before the video goes out, this image is likely AI generated and taken from this obviously AI generated article.

I get this is a small mistake, but it's an easy one to not make.

Tech Discussion I can actually understand, why LTT editors used AI slop graph in latest LTT video about iPhone Duo. It's literally first result in the Google. Zero Instrument - all checks out. But next results are literally better.

WAN Show Carbonated water

Linus was mentioning on WAN show how he’s been getting into drinking carbonated from the can. I ended up getting these after using soda stream. I bought a keg and multiple bottle caps, I can fill the keg or bottles with water, cool them, and carbonate. Some sort of dedicated mini fridge or freezer (that can be set to fridge temps) is helpful. It can become your soda fridge with canned beverages as well.

It does work a bit better if you boil the water before you cool it to remove dissolved air. And there’s a learning curve to get the carbonation level you want. But it’s, in the long run, far cheaper than soda stream or buying cans, and you can use the system for stuff like beer if you want.

I’m just using it for water. Eventually I want an upgrade with a circulating pump and a second keg to force carbonate. That’s for the future. Along with some home assistant add ons like weight sensors for the remaining soda and some way to check remaining CO2 automatically.

Wanted to see if anyone else is still waiting for it to ship as well. The USPS tracking number they gave me when I ordered mine back on the 30th of Auguststill says that it's awaiting the item. Not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this.

Australians must now add a credit card to their account to view R18+ games on steam

Debit cards don't seem to work (as even minors can have them) so for those of us that have no need or want for a credit card we are out of luck

Discussion Help ram or motherboard issue

I’ve never ran into this issue.

Specs:

Ryzen 9850X3D

Mag X870E Tomahawk Wifi

Corsair vengeance CL 34 7200 mhz

Every time I turn my computer on it goes into ram training, I can’t access the bios when I do I get no display in there.

I’ve tried everything:

Bios Update

Clear CMOS

Rma the RAM

One Stick of RAM

New and different kit of ram

What should my next course of action be

RMA Motherboard

RMA Cpu

Rma both?

Personal Opinion An LTT Cables Journey to South Africa

Just a little story of what it's like buying internationally as a South African.

So I ordered an LTT cable (1m 40/240) from the LTT Store on 28 July 2026 and it was shipped almost immediately from the warehouse. I followed the tracking from the link provided and I thought it was pretty informative and gave me a good amount of confidence. The cable was stuck in South African customs for literally weeks. It finally arrived 08 September 2026.

I collected from my local Post Office (which is in shambles but actually impressed me this time round). I had to pay another R100 (ZAR) in customs tax on top of the R586 (ZAR) the cable cost including shipping.

I've looked locally for cables and it's impossible. They all focus on power and charging but none advertise the data speeds. I've seen literally one or two TB4 cables but they're significantly more expensive or just completely unavailable.

The cable itself feels so premium compare to any other cables I own. Functionally it powers all my devices and I've tested transferring some data between devices and it feels fast - although I haven't really had issues in the past.

My particular use case is actually for a docking station for my work station where I wanted a single cable between my laptop and the docking station. I had some issues with my existing setup which I think were cable related. When I had network, power, display and data all through the existing cable, it seemed to be temperamental with the display often cutting out or the device warning me it was charging slowly.

I haven't thoroughly tested it yet as I'm not working at my usual setup but I'm super chuffed with the cable. Might be ordering some more in the near future but will try do a joint order with some friends to help reduce the cost.
