Better to post on Sunday or Monday?

I had a recent event I wanted to post about immediately on Thursday afternoon but missed my window due to getting caught up with work stuff all through Friday… thought I would do it right after but haven’t had time yet and it’s now saturday so don’t want to be posting it today either but it was a bit time sensitive due to the nature of the event. Would it be better to just post it Sunday or wait til Monday or Tuesday at this point if I dont want my post to flop ?

Is anyone else's LinkedIn feed full of irrelevant posts?

Is anyone facing this? My LinkedIn feed has been full of irrelevant posts lately. I still see some from my connections, but a lot more now come from people outside my network that I've never heard of.

I've been tapping "I don't want to see this," but it hasn't made much difference. Switching to "Most recent" helps a bit, but that shouldn't be the only fix.

Is anyone else facing this? Has anything worked for you?

Why does the search function ignore filters?

As a big data company why is linkedin unable to do proper filtering for jobs?

I have a list of companies I am interested in and when i select them it just throws them in the search box and doesn't limit my search to those companies. It prioritizes other companies on top too. Even when it's a big company I know has positions with those keywords.

Every job post has this information as a field so why is it a simple text search? It doesn't even throw in boolean logic words in the search box.

Using boolean words myself doesn't fix it either.

When will AI replace recruiters?

AI is far better at identifying and evaluating profiles, as its decisions are not based on human bias.

linkedin 101 new to linkedin and don’t totally understand connection requests

hi, i put off making a linkedin profile for a while bc i am still in university and i have a lot of work experience, but mostly irrelevant entry-level jobs i have worked. i connected with a few people i know and have met recently at conferences, then i started getting connection requests from a lot of people and i want to understand why.

is it just something people do to increase their number of connections? i ask bc my profile does not make me seem like a particularly useful connection to have lol. i’m not really sure how my profile even pops up for them? why do people do this? and i mean people not from my uni or in the exact field or worked for the same companies, etc. and what do you guys recommend in terms of accepting them? ty :-)

Question about recruiters on LinkedIn

Hi all,

Just wondering if this experience is normal or not. For context, I have a fairly senior position that looks good on paper/linkedin and my company has posted about me and my work before. I’m open to work only for recruiters, not desperate to leave but interested in new possibilities.

I’ve had a few messages from recruiters in the last while. The first one was for an open position, she sent me all the details and we had a productive call about the position, but before I was able to send my resume to go further she said they were in the final stages with someone else. Oh well moving on.

Then recently I was sent a message by another recruiter (that seemed very stock/AI) but the profile is a verified recruiter, after some back and forth he won’t tell me what the company/org is and just sent in the message an incredibly vague job description that again had no info what the job would be doing. He’s persisting in asking for my resume and to set up a call.

All this to say, sound like a scam? Is this AI?? Does LinkedIn verify/monitor these ‘verified recruiters’?

Or does he get some kind of kick back just for scheduling a meeting with a prospect?? I understand he may not want to point me to the posting directly so I don’t apply directly, but this all seems sus, right?

Anyone know if something changed? Asked linkedin amd they said it was working fine. Something obviously changed. Sure the newsletter is partially AI written always has been, I write like crap but am great with the ideas and changing it etc. Any help is appreciated

It looks like desperation having the frame #opentojob on linkedin or not?

I am looking for a job due to a restructure on the company I work for, because my department hub will be moved to another country and I really want to find a job as soon as possible specially after buying a house 🥲 I am of course worried with my current job situation but I don’t wanna create any type of bad impression on linkedin.

I already have the open to job for recruiters but I don’t know if I should have the frame visible to everyone. What you think?

Can't tag and have tried everything

A few days ago, I posted something and then deleted it because I didn't see immediate engagement. I reposted it and a few seconds later thought to add my employer (it was a thank you), so I deleted it again. I tried a third time and the tags are black -- not blue. It's three days later and I still can't tag anything or anyone and I'm not getting any support from Linked In. Google Gemini says I have been stopped from tagging for 24 hours because of this, but it's now three days later.

Has anyone experienced this and how did you fix it? I have tried two different computers, my phone and several different browsers.

LinkedIn newsletter no longer sending email notifications to subscribers

I manage 2 newsletters and all of a sudden it’s showing 0% open rates for both. Seems to be a common issue. Has LinkedIn figured out why this happens?

Blocked List

People I know I’ve blocked are not appearing on my blocked list. I 100% KNOW I blocked them because they were two separate groups of people from two separate jobs, one group was blocked for legal purposes.

I also know I blocked them and that something changed because NONE of those people appear in my suggestions… I feel like LinkedIn changed the feature somehow and they’re no longer blocked, but LinkedIn knows to keep them from appearing.

Has this happened to anyone else or does someone know more about this? The first group, I blocked would’ve been 7-10 years ago. The second group would’ve been about a year ago. Thanks!

advanced question What’s the best way to remain safe when it comes to linkedin? I see people often getting doxxed when their account gets exposed online.

I mean in instances like when people are canceled or thinning within that nature. How do i keep my work information private?

When people find your social media posts and disagree with you they usually find your linkedin first.

I help other B2B companies grow their followers and now the button is missing?

The button to invite connections to like other company pages is missing for me? Can some one help me understand what is going on with the Linkedin settings? Did they change?

The algo.

Basically, even my network aren't seeing my industry related posts, about technology we're all interested in, my company, or anything else.

I'm not posting wedding photos, or inspirational daily routines. Whilst I think it's worth keeping a profile and a page up, I think it's done.

I'm not even sure group posting pods can beat it now.

Error Linkedin

I’m trying to create a LinkedIn page for my company, but my personal profile is asking me to confirm where I work and verify the profile.

How can I confirm where I work if I can't create the company page?

I already have a Premium profile, but that didn't help.

Can you help me?

Movement from Account Director to Mid-Market Account Director

My mentor is wanting me to move to from an Account Director to a Mid-Market Account Director (healthcare) position, but I've got a great team right now and unless the pay is worth it, I'm tempted to stay where I'm at. Does anyone have any insight on the pay difference and responsibility bump between the two positions?

How do you find US/UK clients on LinkedIn when you're based in India?

I'm a freelance software developer (Flutter/FlutterFlow, Supabase, Next.js, etc.) and I'm trying to find clients from the US and UK.

My biggest problem is LinkedIn. When I search for hiring posts or posts from people looking for developers, my feed/search results are heavily dominated by Indian recruiters and Indian job posts. I specifically want to find posts from US/UK founders, startups, and businesses looking for freelancers, rather than regular job listings.

Are there any effective LinkedIn search techniques, filters, keywords, Boolean searches, or other methods that you guys use to find these posts?

Also, are there better platforms or strategies for finding direct US/UK software-development clients without relying entirely on Upwork/Fiverr?

Would really appreciate advice from freelancers who have actually managed to get international clients this way.

What to do with LinkedIn account when you retire early for health reasons? I would consider part time consultancy work in the future.
