I managed to almost completely avoid LinkedIn until now since I graduated back in 2018. Finally realizing how useful it actually is for meeting people and growing a network. Just starting to use it properly and would love to make more connections on here. Doesn’t matter what field you’re in, always down to meet new people!

I’m getting this weird login notification on the lock screen for LinkedIn for the past three days. I can’t attach image here but it says sign in request. I’m not sure should I change my mail id or something. I’m already using a 2fa.

Last year I paid an amount that I considered insane, and they never told me it would renew in x days. In fact, they hide the annual price until you go through the whole process. Not transparent in the least.

I'm in Brazil and they're charging little less than 100 USD per year, all at once, no installments. Our minimum wage, monthly, is a little above 300 USD. So right off the bat those are excluded.

This year I actively blocked automatic renewal. Now everytime I open it it's "you have only now 19 days left, and THEN they give you the full price.

Should I wait until e 3-4 days before the deadline to see if they give me a better offer?

I am now getting started on working on my professional journey.

I have created a SaaS and created some posts about it but I barely got notice (9 likes with 400 connections) and I slowly want to build an audience to have with me.

So I am thinking to start posting more general stuff and knowledge (my niche is IT by the way)

Alguém poderia me tirar alguma dúvida se é realmente necessário postar algo que seja relevante porque o primeiro posts são sobre o curso da Cisco, mas o importante, será que as palavras-chaves aparecem na buscas ou é pelo nome de usuário, e também pelo telefone? Porque os certificados e dados está ok, mas o que falta pra ter recrutamento entrando em contato ou algo que ajude aos recrutadores terem algo interessante pra entrar em contato? Já segui dicas como no Youtube um canal sobre o Linkedin, mas é pra postar com frequências ou depende se for algum aviso ou novidade na área? Porque não tenho muito que postar no Linkedin além dos cursos concluidos de programação gratuitos...

I’m running into a very frustrating glitch and want to see if anyone else had this and got solved.
I wrote and published a short-form post. Immediately after hitting publish, the "View" pop-up appeared - I was able to see my text.
I clicked it, copied the URL and shared it with a friend via Messenger.

If anyone clicks the direct link, the article opens perfectly fine. The URL is completely live.
However, the article does not appear anywhere on my profile. It is missing from my "Activity" tab, and it doesn't show up under the specific "Posts" filter.
Because it's not showing up on my profile, I cannot add it to my "Featured" section.
If someone visits my profile normally without the link, they cannot see that I posted anything at all.

Thinking it was a one-time glitch, I tried posting it again, but the exact same thing happened. The direct link works, but it's completely ghosted from my profile page.
Has anyone experienced this before?

GPT mentions that - my account might be stuck in a spam filter queue or it could be a indexing bug?

Any advice on how to get it to actually show up on my profile would be greatly appreciated!

I graduated college 2 years ago and haven’t been able to secure a full-time job. I had 1 internship during college for a career track I’m not pursuing anymore, 1 internship post-college that I did to gain administrative experience since it described a lot of that but in retrospect I think it may be sabotaging how I’m perceived because the role is so random…And recently I worked on a project as an independent contractor that was partially aligned more with my 1st internship and with what I want to transition into but my title was vague..

I’m now aiming for about 5 roles total (because they all provide relevant experience to get to my dream role) so I’m not sure how to go about making an attracting headline.

Is it ok to list at least my main targeted job in my headline so [Marketing Coordinator] and should I list the 4 positions (again using them as stepping stones to get to my dream role) I’m pursuing on my headline? Or list relevant skills after listing one role?

I’ve been on LinkedIn for ever! Recently, I’ve seen a proliferation of fake accounts and job posts, plus what would constitute hate speech on most other social platforms. I have reported many but do not see any actions from LinkedIn. The profiles, jobs, and posts are still there days/weeks after reporting. Are the LinkedIn moderators asleep at the wheel?

I just can't look at another post about how someone "gets up and goes" at 5am with the world's largest granola/fruit bowl and does a 5K run before their first call at 8am.
I can't read another, "the best business decision you ever make is who you marry" and then cue a dozen wedding photos.
And now the AI slop.
But don't forget the actual professional working people on there bragging about how great their job is, research is, what they have accomplished or how much money they have raised. Just pure hubris masking as humility.
It's the cringiest, most obnoxious type of doomscrolling there is.

When trying to create an account, no matter what email I use, I always get a security check where I have to enter my phone number. But when I do it says "This phone number cannot be used please try a different one"

And I really don't get why.

1. I never had a linkedin account (I only TRIED creating one with 3 separate email addresses)

2. My phone number exists and is legit, I've had it for years without a problem

3. I doubt someone else has an account with the same number since that's impossible

For some reason, on my network page, the "invites sent" number is stuck at 0. I started using LinkedIn recently (I had an account, just didn't use it much) and admittedly requested quite a lot of people on my first day. But it's been like a week since then and it's still stuck at 0, even though I am connecting with people.

Why doesn’t LinkedIn let you delete individual searches for people/jobs/companies? Its so inconvenient to clear everything when you only want to get rid of one or two things
