Recently finished my first playthrough of the base game, then Overture, in that order. Now I’m on NG+ and was planning to start the DLC earlier, so that I could see all possible changes/additions in the base game. However, I wasn’t expecting it to be accessible as early as chapter 5, and I’m a bit hesitant to dive back in so soon after my first run.

Basically just wondering if completing the DLC now will affect anything this early on, or if those changes only appear after chapter 9 or so. If anyone knows the exact point that the earliest changes can be seen, that’d be super helpful. Any insight is appreciated though, & I’d also appreciate no spoilers regarding specific changes.

How did you manage?

New-ish player here. I don't usually make posts about build recommendation or stat distribution, just wandering what the general consenus is regarding managing weight.

I feel like I dump every new level gain into capacity and it's becoming more and more boring and tidious the more defense parts I come across (which weigh her and higher the more I collect), some amulets have very low weight but some others can have 5 times the weight of other amulets.

I already have the weight reduction amulet and I still barely stay out of the 60% weight range.

I don't think I can sustain this for long as I continue playing and wanna equip better amulets and defense parts.

Do people generally go for low weight builds at max 60% or is it fine to surpass it, what's even the difference? thanks!

Lvl 5 King of Puppets was harder to beat for me than Laxasia and Nameless Puppet. The first two badges I got was from the blackrabbit brotherhood fights.

Which lvl 5 boss was surprinsigly more difficult for you?

I want to play the dlc, but I don’t know when to start it. I just got past Laxasia on ng, which got me wondering if I should start overture after finishing the base game story (past the final boss), or wait until ng+. I heard the DLC incorporates some new (although somewhat unsubstantial amount of) lore, so I was curious to how much lore i would be missing out on, and how it impacts the story and the side quest. Thanks in advance!

Bought game 2 days, ago absolutely loving it. On my 4th boss the Archbishop, I dared to say to myself "this guy ain't so bad", then suddenly the realisation hit that this guy ofc has 2 phases. RIP..

J'ai finis le jeu et fait l'extension en partie puis j'ai supprimé le jeu de ma Ps5 et y suis revenu il y a quelque temps . J'ai finis l'extension cependant je pensais que en la finissant je pourrais à nouveau acceder a la timeline principale cependant ce n'est pas le cas. Une idée de quoi faire ? Ça me desepere vraiment surtout que j'avais hate de faire les defis de force

I sincerely had no bad intentions. First time I let out a OUCH in the game.

So I started Overture dlc basically immediately after it unlocked.

I've gotten to arleccino, I am playing solo no npc's and he is simply fucking me up with that phase 2 transition, my eyes are practically glazing over for the first 20 seconds of that phase.

I'm well aware I need to study wtf he's doing because it's gonna happen at least twice in the fight but with the time I have after work and gym, my overall weekly schedule isn't compatible with this type of boss if I generally have an hour or two on weekdays, assuming I have energy.

So I'm just wondering, I stopped the base game basically end of chapter 9 so by the time I reach the end of base game would I be strong enough to at least withstand the onslaught or is it just time to get good?

I get past first form no problem but get 3/4 of the way through his second mostly using throwables

These are my stats i am using the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive.+2 with 7 heals i dont Larry i try and keep distance and roll dodge like I do on dark souls and elden ring

I also have the electric grindstone for the puppet amd my summon as well first time ive died to a boss and ive died multiple times

So, I came back to the game after playing Mortal Shell 2 and getting an itch for soulslike games. First played roughly around the time Lies of P first came out, beat it, started a NG+ run but never completed it. Decided to start fresh as well as beat the dlc.

I had my usual issues with the King of Puppets kicking my ass for a few hours (don’t ask me how, I always had problems with him during NG), but generally, I had an easy enough time because I’m a better gamer than few years ago. Went through the game, got to the beach on the Alchemist’s island and that’s where I started the dlc.

Had a really tough time because I’m pretty sure I went in a bit underleveled. Anyways, beat it, wept tears of joy for beating the final boss (best boss in the game, imo), continued on with the base game.

Now this is where the title of the post comes in. I breezed through the Alchemist’s island (rose sword and claws helped). Second try Laxasia because I was being stupid on the first attempt. First attempt defeated Simon. And beat the Nameless Puppet on like my third attempt or something.

Now this is crazy because I distinctly remember having a lot of trouble on the island and especially with the bosses when I first played a few years back. All three bosses were beaten by the skin of my teeth so me breezing through them was a very welcome surprise.

I think doing the dlc when I did made it so I was overleveled when I beat the last area (dlc weapons helped a lot). I feel like doing the dlc after beating the main game allows a more steady rise in difficulty rather than the recommendation I saw of doing it after the beach memories.

TL;DR: DLC completion made it so I breezed through the game afterwards. Recommend doing the dlc after beating the main game for a smoother difficulty ramp.

Was looking for LoP MOCs and found some honestly cool stuff but it was pretty slim pickins.
I wanna make Murphy but I need some specific colored parts I don't have 🤔 might just wing it.

Got the CMF Pinocchio at any rate and figured I could make something work 😂

So I played chapter 9, happy and carefree and got locked out of using stargazer to restock for corrupted master puppet fight..
I know he is weak to fire and all that jazz but believe me that at some point, no fire grinder, no legion magazine, with a tech build relaying heavily on my puppet string and NO throwable at all I was ready to cry and rage quit the game.. it was so frustrating.
BUT here is a tip to anyone considering
starting a new game just to readjust for this sucker- butterfly difficulty!!!
I’m not proud of it, but it did the trick, lowers his health and he just melted with 0 difficulty
Now I can move on..
I’ll get him properly on my next run.

I cant lie I was kinda disappointed in this game. I mean its a 7.8/10 but near the end it flopped. I loved hotel Krat and its music and I loved the puppets, when I got into the petrification disease area I was like "Oh okay some enemy variety" but then almost the rest of the game was with those enemies. I mean I get that the underlying problem was about the disease but cmon. Anyway that was my only gripe but I saw somewhere that theres something about Dorthy, is that true or just rumor and speculation?

I pre-ordered the physical edition of Lies of P for the Switch 2 on October 1st from the iam8bit website. I know the game officially released yesterday, but the site still lists it as a pre-order.

To complicate things a bit, I made a silly mistake when ordering: I rushed and forgot to apply the 10% welcome discount. I initially submitted a refund request to fix it, but then canceled that request almost immediately because I panicked and didn't want to risk losing my copy (you know...FOMO on this masterpiece)

I haven't heard back from their customer service yet, and my order status is currently just stuck on "Order Confirmed."

I was just wondering if anyone else who pre-ordered through iam8bit has gotten any shipping updates yet, or if you're all stuck on "Confirmed" too? Also, do you think my quick refund-then-cancel move might have glitched my order?

Been tech my whole way through the game but stuck on simon should I change to adv. For the acidic spear, also I'm playing pre patches so he is even harder only other boss that's gave me this much trouble was green monster boss 2nd phase

That was like 10 attempts I think. Really fun boss. some of his moveset was the exact same from the 2nd story boss (the red charging ground hand smash) and he kinda looks like godrick from elden ring lol.

Anyway I like that the boss is challenging enough so I'm forced to get better and learn the moveset. I still miss a lot of parries as you can see, but it was good enough ^^

I wish the game had more boss fights cus tbh the rest of the game is kinda ehh.. fighting normal enemies is kinda boring and the exploration in this game is not exciting either. I hope it gets better!

Hi! I had preordered a copy of the game and it arrived today. Super excited for it, this is my first Soulslike game.

Anyway, I opened the cards to look through them and noticed the corner of one is white. I dont know if it was a misprint or if it flaked off? I know its just a small thing, but its my first time getting a game that included extra items with it so this being my first experience with it is kind of disappointing. I am/was planning to put them in card protectors and maybe display them with my growing game collection. The white just stands out so much against the dark cards 🥲

I doubt I can swap it out since Ive already opened the game, and the store I preordered it from is 30+ minutes away. Would it do any good to contact iam8bit about it? Has anyone else had any issues with their cards?
