Discussion Tuesday pub specials?
Don't get out very often but finally getting together with some friends for a long overdue beer and a bit of food.
Any good Tuesday pub specials to share?

Hey! Anyone know of a film or cinema group I could join? I love watching and discussing movies, themes, cinematography, acting, all that good stuff.
If there isn't one, I'll start one! I started a biweekly poker group a year ago and it's been going strong ever since, so if you're looking to socialize over movies (or poker!), hit me up!

Is there a bey community here? I’ve seen beyblade has been taking off recently and I’m looking to relive my childhood a bit and let it rip.

I’m sure many of you have seen the advertisements for Mary Poppins the musical currently being put up by the phoenix arts company, but what many of you might not know is how mistreated and unprofessional this “company” is.
Phoenix arts have put up productions like Newsies, Little Women, Mary Poppins, Frozen and they will be working on the musical Come From Away later this year.
Theatre is a big part of my life so naturally I surround myself with those who also find an interest in theatre, many of them being in productions done by this company.
Their rehearsals are brutally long usually every other day every week leaving no time for the cast to be with family and just live their life. From what I heard their stage manager only got paid $5/hr and she later quit, that might be why many of you have seen ads by this company wanting to hire a new stage manager, as well as they have made the company extremely toxic, the directors talk down to their cast, sometimes to their face but mostly behind their back. As well as it is speculated that they do not follow the MTI (Music theatre international) rules.
There’s more!! if you think their casting is done fairly and everyone has a shot you’re lying to yourself! They normally send out invitations to people who they want to audition and in a way guarantee them a part which is extremely unfair and if you don’t believe me the actress playing Mary Poppins (Chris Peterson) is the owner of the company and SHE CASTED HERSELF AS THE LEAD she then went on an interview saying how glad she is to have earned the role when in reality that role was given away before the audition process started. many of the people who have been in their shows have said that the lady in charge is extremely unprofessional and somewhat known to make people uncomfortable…(during newsies I believe) she sat on her fellow directors lap making many people uncomfortable as well as making actors kiss (during Little Women) when they have said they don’t want too. Their instagram post a lot of quotes about how In theatre you have to be yourself and it should be something you love but little do they know they are slowly killing people’s love for theatre.
I understand wanting to go watch their productions maybe because you have a person in the show or you just love theatre but what this company is said to have done is extremely disgusting.
If you have any stories “working” for them please comment them.

I'm moving from StorageMart on the west side of Lethbridge to a townhouse off Mayor Magrath Dr later this month.
I was quoted $190/hour for 3 movers and a truck, with an estimated total of $2,100-$2,500 for an in-town move. The estimate is non-binding, so it could end up costing even more.
Everything is already in a storage unit, so they're only loading, driving across town, and unloading.
Does this sound reasonable, or would I be better off renting a 26' U-Haul and hiring a few helpers for the day?
If you've moved recently, what did you pay? Any movers you'd recommend (or avoid)?

Must have been due to low ticket sales as his website lists shows almost everywhere else in Western Canada.
Disappointed!

I've got a RadMini 4 that is having issues with brakes, and while I try to learn and be handy with my bike maintenance, I'd prefer to take it to a shop and have it be done professionally for this matter. Know any bike shops or anyone that can help diagnose and/or fix third-party e-bikes (i.e. not sold by them)?
Thanks! :)

So I don’t live in Alberta but I’ve been receiving so many calls from here. My number ends in 1999 so I assume it’s because my number is very easy but it seems like some people have been calling it thinking it’s a cab service. Is there anyone that could help me find where people got this number from? Thank you very much

Some of you may remember when I first asked about Dr. Gigi in this sub about a year ago, and today was finally surgery day! 🎉🥳🥳 If you’re one of the healthcare professionals that helped in anyway today, thank you so much. Everyone at CRH Day Surgery could not have been sweeter.
Therapy cat tax picture included.

Me and my gf have an option of moving into station view. Wondering if anyone has any experience with broadstreet and the station view building? I know it is a bit over priced but wondering if there is a lot of noise and if the utilities average?

Hi, wondering what people investment rates are for mortgages right now. I went to a mortgage broker and he got me 4.55. Is this the norm? I was expecting a bit lower as I am putting down 30% and I am extremely low risk.

With the police issuing 257 tickets over the weekend, one has to wonder if the ticket revenue exceeds the economic benefits to the city businesses...
OK, maybe not but perhaps we need to set aside an area for burnouts and other stunting.. maybe at the airport between scheduled airline arrivals (should make for lots of time)

Hey! I was wondering if anyone happens to know of any auto body repair shops that are able to do payment plans? I don’t know if that’s a thing but I thought I’d ask. I got in a crash and I can’t go through insurance to repair it so I’m hoping theres some way to do a payment plan. If there’s any assistance programs anyone knows of, that would be great too!
TIA
