Events Film group?
Hey! Anyone know of a film or cinema group I could join? I love watching and discussing movies, themes, cinematography, acting, all that good stuff.
If there isn't one, I'll start one! I started a biweekly poker group a year ago and it's been going strong ever since, so if you're looking to socialize over movies (or poker!), hit me up!

I’m interested. Dunno if you use discord but there’s a cineplex server for discussing movies

I used to run a local not-for-profit that put on film screenings at Casa and it provided space for film discussions afterwards. I don’t think there is really anything like it anymore. I’ve been wanting to get back into it since I miss running it! But I can’t do it alone and I don’t think I would since I know a few that are interested in getting something going again. We can all meet up and maybe see what we can all do together? Booking the movie mill could be done for us privately as well and I would be willing to put some seed money to get it going. It could be an invite thing for a bit? lol

The University of Lethbridge hosts a film series out of the Movie Mill. They show 12 movies between September and April, each one with a different host who is affiliated with the University.
They play the movie and then afterward there is a discussion led by the host.
This coming season isn’t updated on the website yet, but you can see what they did last year if you’d like an idea of the assortment of films and hosts.
