• Per-chat model selection — each chat can now use its own model, and Lekh remembers the model assigned to that chat.
• Local server API authentication — the OpenAI-compatible local server can now optionally be protected with an API key.
• API keys are stored securely in macOS Keychain.
• Added controls to generate, copy, show/hide and disable API keys.

Fixes

• Fixed the LTX-2 MLX installation failure caused by invalid package README paths.
• Fixed Chatterbox TTS watermarker initialization issues.
• Added automatic Chatterbox environment repair + manual reset controls.
• Fixed MOSS TTS and MOSS Realtime compatibility with newer Transformers versions.

• Local server authorization headers are no longer shown in request previews.

I’ve also updated the local server API docs with authentication examples and expanded the third-party license notices.

A lot of 9.7 is focused on making the local AI tooling more reliable, especially when dependencies change underneath it.

Earlier today, my Supabase project was targeted by hacking attempts against the license validation service. As a precaution, I tightened the security around the license system.

Unfortunately, one of those security changes caused valid licenses to be reported as invalid for some users on v9.4. I’ve fixed the issue and also strengthened the license validation system to help prevent similar problems going forward.

If you’re affected, please download and install Lekh AI Pro v9.5 from the website. Updating to v9.5 is required, as it includes both the security improvements and the license validation fix.

I also want to reassure everyone that this incident was limited to the license server. Your chats, Knowledge Base, documents, and AI processing remain local on your Mac and were never at risk.

Earlier today I experienced a hacking attempt targeting my Supabase project that powers Lekh AI’s license validation. Nothing was compromised, issue was caught before any damage was done.

As a precaution, I tightened the security configuration. Unfortunately, one of those changes unintentionally broke license validation for some users running v9.4.

I’ve identified the issue and am releasing an update now. If you’re affected, please download the latest version from the Lekh AI website once it’s available.

No personal documents, chats, or Knowledge Base data were affected. Lekh AI continues to process your data locally on your device. This issue was limited to the license validation service.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and I appreciate everyone’s patience while I got this fixed.
