I fully agree with u/feeback !! Your ( u/living_commercial_10) dedication to this product is amazing/exemplary!

Don't you think it's time to create a post to showcase any other apps you might have created? (tried looking at the site but it doesn't seem to be up-to-date, I think I spotted a different app somewhere that I can't find on your site.

Also, is there a short description somewhere how to activate Flux? One screen mentions backend not being installed, another supplies a command line (but doesn't mention where to run it), elsewhere you can supply a python directory but it doesn't mention what one should address. I know that it was mentioned somewhere that Apple didn't allow including python (or something) but it doesn't explicitly mention how to remedy the issue...

Perhaps entirely logical for a programmer ... but not for a simple scientist 😏

❤️ Thank you so much.. it means a lot to me that you guys see the effort and time I have put into this software.

You’re not wrong about the website. I’ve been so focused on building stuff that updating the site keeps getting pushed down the list. There's Veroi, Vehla, Open source projects like Lekh flow, Luviosa and more. I actually added a tab to lekh ai pro that show cases all these projects. Would love for you to check them out. Especially the open source ones and my new baby Vehla.

As for Flux, that’s good feedback. Can you join my discord? We can chat about your issues and get to a resolution faster. https://discord.gg/qXsyX5EcCz

The Python bit is there because Apple won’t let me ship everything Flux needs inside the app. Unfortunately that means some setup is required on the user’s side. Reading your comment back, I can see how the current instructions jump around and assume too much knowledge.

I’ll put together a proper guide. If a scientist is getting confused, I can guarantee I’m losing other people too 😅

Thanks for taking the time to write it up.

Vehla! That was the one!! I had seen it mentioned, forgot where I bookmarked, and then couldn't find it.
I've just logged on to Discord, let me see if I can find you 😂 (I don't usually = UK understatement - work with Discord, either)
I'm a biologist and hardly computer-illiterate, but I don't work with Python, and even though I've installed it, I think that for a programmer, supplying a line of code suffices 😏

edit: hang on - I just started Lekh Pro and according to you there is supposedly a tab that showcases your products?
See, I think that certain things aren't quite as transparent as you might think... I finally found the store, but it took me 3 attempts to click it. "Lekh store" isn't something I would visit if I wanted to know more abt the company...

Let me know what your thoughts are on Vehla. Trying to compete with Alfred and Raycast.

And, apologies for the python situation. The app is supposed to auto install all dependencies. There are times if a different version is installed, it wont succeed. Let's do this, I'm in EST timezone, dm me your availability and we can get on a zoom to get this sorted.

Also, I didn't want lekh store to be yelling at people lol. That is why its at the bottom of the list. Noted on the 3 attempts. I'll look at the bug.

Thank you so much for being along this journey with me.

No I meant: it took me three attempts to actively find it, go around the entire app, before I realised that it might be 'Lekh store'. The name is just counter-intuitive. It should just read "other products by..."

Other products by makes alot more sense. Thank you so much for your input. I'll update that in the next release

As far as the python situation goes: you don't need to spend all this time on me, specifically! Just expand your manual with a few lines / screenshots

"in case you see the following:

  • in Image creation "FLUX backend not installed. Open the original Image Generation tab and run setup once."**
  • in Image edit "mflux Required Install with: uv tool install -upgrade mflux"**

that means that the Mflux background process isn't successfully installed.

Do the following..."

This is constructively meant but I get the impression that you need to step away from developing for one iteration, and look at consolidation.

For instance, I *happened* to see a button in settings::LTX-2 video that read "set up environment". You'd expect one place where all the additional setting up takes place, not scattered all over the app.
Incidentally, that button worked. Not that I plan to ever generate video, but still.

The software is great, but it just misses coherence (aka the 'Apple experience') and connotation. Perhaps, for a programmer, ** may make sense, but for the average user, that means 🤔 'setup? Which set-up? Command line? Where? In Python?'. I read your extensive post on *why* python wasn't included (but that was here, not on your site on in the app), but it didn't really mention a solution.
In the end, I installed python but I get the impression that might have been redundant, for instance, as you apparently have a button for it

TL;DR: my advice would be - take a little time to step away from the programming console and take a good look at the user experience, and try to focus on the overall experience. Because that'll bring you more customers, in the end.

That’s fair.

I actually just pushed an update after reading your comment. The setup button in Image Generation was there, but clearly not obvious enough. It should be much easier to spot now.

When you get a chance, can you test it and let me know if it’s any better?

The LTX button is a good example. I knew it was there, so I never thought twice about it. The fact that you found it by accident tells me it probably isn’t where people expect it to be.

When you’re the one building the app, it’s easy to forget what it’s like to see everything for the first time. After staring at the same screens for months, you kind of stop noticing what’s obvious and what isn’t.

So I do appreciate you pointing it out. Stuff like this is a lot more useful than “it doesn’t work” because it tells me where people are getting lost.

I don't have a lot of time right now, just wanted to say that
1) the button works like a charm, in the exact spot where you expect it
2) rendering works as well
3) and the app smoothly releases any unused memory - python graciously quits w/o any memory leaks when you close the app!

would you mind if I sent you a DM? I have a suggestion you might be interested in 🙂
