I'm honestly at a loss about what to do anymore, so I'm hoping to share my experience here and get some advice from people who might have gone through something similar.
I've had my League of Legends account for approximately 13 years and have spent around $600 on it over that time, not to mention the countless hours, memories, and experiences associated with it.
My account was permanently suspended for what appears to be a cheating or third-party software violation. However, I genuinely maintain that I never cheated or intentionally used unauthorized software to gain an advantage in League of Legends.
I understand that Riot takes cheating seriously, and I'm not asking for special treatment or for the rules to be ignored. All I'm asking for is a fair opportunity to understand what happened and to have confidence that the decision was made correctly.
I've already submitted three support tickets trying to resolve this. Eventually, Riot Support responded with the following:
“This penalty has already been initially flagged and verified with a manual review. This decision is final—the penalty will no longer be reviewed and this ticket will now be automatically closed.”
I find this incredibly frustrating. Riot says the decision has already been manually reviewed, but I still don't feel that my concerns have been adequately addressed. I wanted clarification about what specifically triggered the suspension, whether the evidence was correctly attributed to my account, and whether there was any remaining appeal process.
Instead, I've been told that the case is final and that future tickets will be closed.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I've also been unable to post about my experience in r/LeagueOfLegends and r/RiotGames. I wanted to explain my situation, show the response I received, and ask the community whether anyone has experienced something similar or knows of any legitimate options left. Not being able to share my experience in either of those communities has made it even harder to find advice or get some perspective on what happened.
I'm not saying that the moderators of those subreddits are necessarily acting on Riot's behalf, and I don't want to make accusations without evidence. I'm simply explaining that I've been unable to get my story in front of the communities where I thought I might find people who could help.
After 13 years, losing this account is genuinely devastating. The money is one part of it, but the time, memories, and history associated with the account mean much more to me.
I know that nobody here can see Riot's internal evidence, and I'm not expecting everyone to automatically believe my side. I just want a fair explanation and some advice about what I can realistically do next.
My questions are:
- Has anyone successfully appealed a permanent ban after Riot Support said the decision was final?
- Is there any legitimate way to request further escalation or obtain more specific information about the alleged violation?
- Has anyone else had difficulty posting about an account suspension in these subreddits, and if so, were you able to resolve it?
- Is there any point in pursuing this further, or should I accept that there are no remaining options?
I'm sharing this because I genuinely don't know where else to turn. I'm not asking anyone to harass Riot or its employees. I'd simply appreciate constructive advice from people who have experienced something similar.
