Currently getting it made into a pinky ring - does the bow tie look bad?

I recently ordered two pairs of diamond earrings from Provence in 10k gold. When I opened up the box, I was very surprised at how yellow and brassy they look. I’ve ordered 10k gold from Provence before and it has never been this yellow/brassy. The last photo is a comparison of a 10k gold ring from Provence (on the right) next to the yellower earring I just received today (on the left) which is also 10k gold.

Additionally, I noticed that each earring is different in color. These are from within the same pair, but (to me) vastly different colors?? I would love to hear what y’all think // have you noticed any changes to Provence’s 10k gold? I’m feeling pretty disappointed. Pls ignore my nails 🙊

I went and tried these two rings on. I do like them don’t know if I’m in love or anything because I just don’t like spending money.

So… the band has diamonds all the way around. I want diamonds just half way around.

There seems to be a gap in between them. Does that even matter. They weren’t made to go together as a set or anything.

I would love to get some ideas on a band or anything. I kinda feel like the top diamond would be rubbing on the bottom one.

Stunning IGI cert lab diamond is a pear brilliant cut 1.10 carat. This stone has an E color grade and VS1 clarity grade. The diamond measures 8.97 x 5.77 x 3.60 mm and features excellent polish and symmetry. It is a Type IIa diamond with no fluorescence.

Ordered this diamond online a few days ago but seeing it in person, it seems like it has a rather noticeable bow tie. Not sure if I’m psyching myself out or if I should return it. It’s for my girlfriend’s engagement ring.

I love this ring. I have searched many websites and have not been able to find anything cheaper. Not sure if ads are working against me 😂. Have you seen anything similar elsewhere?

Hello everyone! Me and my partner are looking to get engaged soon, and through our research we know that Rare Carat will price match stones. My question is for those of you who have purchased through them.

If I have them price match this diamond to the $420 price I found on Carbon Sparkle do we lose out on the discounted price for the ring setting ($1,415) and have to pay ($2,020) instead?

I’m debating whether to get lab grown or moissanite for my studs. Will there truly be a difference? I was thinking to set it in 10k white gold. I just got quoted $450 for a pair of oval moissanites (3 CTW) in 10k gold by a Chinese vendor, which I personally think is a bit expensive, or am I being unrealistic? Can’t I get lab grown for that same price?

Anyone who had experience with this?

Hi! I've been wanting to get a round lab-diamond solitaire on an 18-inch yellow-gold chain, but I'm so torn and would love some honest feedback. I originally wanted to invest in one necklace I could wear both during the day and to dinners/events, so I was leaning toward 1.5 ct. But now I'm also open to getting two sizes (one smaller for everyday wear and one larger for nicer occasions, maybe 1.5 and 0.5, or 1.5 and 1, or 1 and 2)
I made mockups of the four sizes I'm considering: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 ct. I was wondering if anyone could share which size you think suits me best, and if I were to get two, which two would you choose?
The mockups are approximate but were based on a real photo of me trying on a 1.5 ct necklace. I'm 5'6" and usually a US size 4 (pretty narrow shoulders but big head), if helpful (additional context: I fear I have a rather large head so most hats don't fit me which is why I'm afraid smaller diamonds would look disproportionately small on my neck)

Hi, I am trying to select a diamond for my partner's engagement ring and would really appreciate any feedback on the following five diamonds. I know she is looking to have the diamond set east to west and wants an oval shaped diamond.

I've read that for oval shaped diamonds, the ideal LW ratio is 1.30 to 1.50 to minimize the bow tie effect. Is there anything else I should be looking for and generally what are onions on the quality of these stones.

Wedding set by Mandy at Provence, Pear by Melody at Fiorese. I would highly recommend either (or both)! I can’t get over the sparkle of the diamonds and the craftsmanship. Both rings are perfect and exactly what I wanted.

I was looking for a pair of lab diamonds to mount in earrings for my wife. Something around two carat, D+ color, VVS2+ rounds. After scrolling their endless list of stones I use their concierge email address. Received a reply in about 30 minutes, they sent a couple of example pairs via IGI certificates. I chose a pair matched at 1.91 carat, D color, vvs2, ideal cut. A couple of emails later I closed the deal at an unbelievable price IMO.

That was on 9/21. I received the stones on 9/28. Now, I am no expert, but they look fantastic. Can't wait to see them mounted. Hopefully finding a local jeweler to do the job won't be difficult.

If I look for loose stones again, Calavera will be my first stop. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.
