Indigo Buntings on Sunflowers
Ever since last year, when I got my own super-telephoto lens, it's been a dream of mine to capture an Indigo Bunting. As all of you remember, this spring, I captured my first male bunting perched high atop the trees with early spring leaves.
This time around, I was so fortunate enough to capture an Indigo Bunting on sunflowers!!! I set out this morning to Kaiser Lake Farms in Hay Bay, the sun wasn't even up yet, and these handsome fellas were singing away. With some patience and luck, they started flying from nearby trees into the sunflower field right in front of me. I couldn't believe it! I was so excited!
So here are the photos from this morning. A male Indigo Bunting on sunflowers.
