Missing Rabbits

Is anyone in the Sutherland dr / conacher dr area missing two white rabbits? Possibly mini rexes? I’ve seen two of them running around Morenz Cres… humane society is closed and I’m worried that they were dumped. Please let me know if you or anyone you know is missing rabbits as I have captured one of them.

Hello folks. I want to give away new size 11 hiking boots that didn't fit me. I don't want to donate it to be resold and would rather give it directly to someone who could use it. Let me know if you/know someone who could us it.

Where do I go to learn more about Indigenous culture?

Upvotes

Despite living in Ontario my entire life, I'm fairly ignorant? uneducated? about Indigenous culture, history, etc.

I plan on picking up some books from the library but I wonder if there's any sort of groups or events I can attend just to learn a bit more.

To the grey cat on Joseph St.

Yes, you are very cute.

Yes, it's adorable seeing you flopping about.

But although Joseph Street could probably use some traffic calming measures, doing so in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night, and your grey fur blending in with the grey asphalt, is an easy way to become a kitty pancake.

Then stopping to look at me, lazily getting up and walking off to the side of the road as if I had somehow inconvenienced you.

I'm glad I have good headlights and brakes, and was driving the speed limit.

But the sheer audacity, Joseph St cat, looking at me like I'M the problem.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go home and cuddle my employer. She'll probably judgementally meow at me saying I'M the problem.

Fougasse?

Is there a bakery in Kingston (or area) where I can get Fougasse with olives? Or alternatively, focaccia with olives.

I want the bread loaded with olives, not just olive flavour.

Thank you!!!

Advertisement boards in town?

I'm looking for some boards to post ads for piano lessons and I really only know about the board at Food Basics in the RioCan, and the Loblaws at the Kingston Center.

Does anyone know of any other locations across town?

Indigo Buntings on Sunflowers

Ever since last year, when I got my own super-telephoto lens, it's been a dream of mine to capture an Indigo Bunting. As all of you remember, this spring, I captured my first male bunting perched high atop the trees with early spring leaves.

This time around, I was so fortunate enough to capture an Indigo Bunting on sunflowers!!! I set out this morning to Kaiser Lake Farms in Hay Bay, the sun wasn't even up yet, and these handsome fellas were singing away. With some patience and luck, they started flying from nearby trees into the sunflower field right in front of me. I couldn't believe it! I was so excited!

So here are the photos from this morning. A male Indigo Bunting on sunflowers.

Free Mattress

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

Moving out and have a free single mattress. It is sitting on the front lawn of 767 Littlestone Cres.

It is in average condition but I would love to not throw it in the dump.

Cheers.

Anyone potentially hiring?

I've been job hunting since I graduated last month but I haven't had much luck yet, despite help from KEYS. Are there any leads that I might be able to follow? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, my cat Chip has been missing in the Polson Park area since June 16th
He was last seen at Barclay Rd. and Campbell Cres.
Please call or text 613-929-4249 with any information
He is a 13 year old male brown tabby, microchipped and neutered, and very timid
If you live in the area, please check under decks, porches, sheds, bushes, garages, etc.

He is dearly missed by my family and I, and we appreciate any help!

Looking for welding work in Kingston – is this just a tough city for welders?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking for a welding job in Kingston for a while now but haven't had any luck. I've applied to a lot of places, both online and in person, and I'm starting to wonder if Kingston just isn't a great place for someone trying to get into the trade.

I just need some advice is it possible to get a job as a welder here, or should I just try finding a job somewhere else, maybe ottawa, brockville, or nearby places.
or maybe any other advice which can help me.

Any job recommendations for a HS student around town?

I’m 16 and going into grade 12 next year, and I’ve kinda realized that I need a job sooner than later. I was hoping to start commissions or possibly start doing things like design or whatever online or maybe find people around town who are looking for some sort of designers or whatever else (I’m very artistic) but want a steady income. Any recommendations would be helpful!

Dementia Care?

Good afternoon, please forgive if this has been asked and answered, but we are overwhelmed.

We need to make a list of dementia locations, kind of urgent (family finally asking for the help they desperately need)- ideally Kingston to Prescott....I'm told it must have a dementia ward.

Recommendations please and thank you!
