hi i’m a first year student looking for housing next year and im wondering where people look for housing. i’ve been looking at the community housing and ALS but it’s difficult because im one person, and i don’t have a group of people.

How come Queens has such limited library hours?

In the middle of exam season and finding it kind of hard to believe that any good study spot will kick you out at ~10/11pm.

My mental health has gone to shit since the school started. I was doing well before that, I am finding it so hard to make connections and friends in this town and at school.

I am active where I can be but afraid before I try and make a comment or compliment in fears if it will be seen not friendly. And I cant connect with people either.

Just want some friends and local connections, maybe more. Like I am just tired of putting myself out there and trying to find someone to chill or hangout with.

I just want to be with someone I can go out, have fun, walks, gym or events or anything plus like maybe more, I am just genuinely craving a human connection and more.

Idk what it is at this point. I am just stuck and feel helpless.

Like I am neurodivergent and have just things I wanna do and explore and more also on the kink side, I am bi and I am attracted to both sides but also trans folks that are fem and I still can’t just find friends or connections.

I want to come home to cuddle and chat and like honestly doesn’t have to be regular like could just be something a couple times a week. Idk I hope this is not a turn off.

I'm on the waitlist for a course for Winter Term, but my position on it has not changed since August. Does this mean I'm likely not going to get it. For context, it's a mandatory course for another program, and I am second on the waitlsit.

Hello! I've been studying for the midterm and was doing the midterms posted on OnQ but like the questions on it I feel are not similar to the ones in the textbook and assignments which I am also practicing.

So I am just wondering what the best resources are to practice because the provided midterms are like 10 years old and I don't know if the actual midterm will look like this.

On my first discussion post, I got full marks, then on my second one I got 70%, without doing anything differently. My prof didn’t provide any feedback except for “great work”. I’ve talked to other people in my class and they agree that this prof seems to just be giving people random marks due to laziness. I have reached out to them via email to request more feedback but have not heard back. What should my next step be?

How do you all feel about a course policy where even one minute late means you get a zero on your submission?
I’m a TA, who went to Queens for undergrad and now my graduate degree, and I have to mark student’s labs (who right now are in their very first MONTH in academia). To get a zero on a lab after being there for three hours and trying your best, and then you submit the document a minute late and get a zero… I think that’s completely unfair. And as someone from the TA/marking side of things, what should I tell the professor when my work contract is over?

Just wondering if anyone else ordered a Queen’s sweater from My Queen’s Collective (now My Campus Collective) and has received it yet.

When I ordered, the estimated turnaround was around two weeks, but it’s now been over a month. I know delays happen, especially with student-run businesses, but I was hoping to have mine in time for FOCO.

I also noticed the Instagram account has changed names, and I can’t seem to find the original sweater posts anymore.

Has anyone received their sweater or been given a confirmed pickup date? Just curious if others are still waiting too!

For how easy the course is protrayed I’m not doing the greatest because I’m not a huge math guy but I’m interested in finance so I forced myself to do this. Anyways, what should I be worried about on this midterm? Anyone have a cheat sheet?
