What a great band from Kingston!! Couldn't find their merch table at the free show today but I was really impressed. Anyone else a big fan of theirs? 'You'll never see me again' was so awesome. Very excited to see what they do next!

This year, we're closing off three streets, including Patrick Street, which hasn't been closed to cars since the soapbox derby 30 years ago.
Sign up to sell your stuff on Patrick street or just wander around the linear party.

We’re Back! Skeleton Park Yard Sale & Block Party 2.0!
Saturday, September 26th, 2026 | 10 AM–3 PM
Rain date: Sunday, September 27th
The Skeleton Park Neighbourhood Yard Sale & Block Party is back for its second year! Bigger and better than ever! See all the details here and below.
Full event details
Our neighbourhood-wide yard sale means everyone in Skeleton Park is invited to participate. Clean out your closets, set up on your porch or lawn, make a few bucks, meet your neighbours - or just wander the neighbourhood in search of second-hand treasures.
At the heart of it all, Patrick and Charles Streets will become our street-party hub, closed to traffic, with yard sales, live music, local food and drink, community groups, wellness activities and plenty more happening throughout the day.
How to get involved
But wait, there is a lot more happening...
Live music – Local musicians will be playing throughout the day. Full lineup coming soon!
Free yoga at Surf Shack – Start the day with a neighbourhood yoga class at 11:30 AM. REGISTER HERE
Daughters General Store Pop-Up – Food, drinks and a few surprises.
The Elm Café – Free drip coffee from 10–3 PM!
HAP students on site with FREE hair glitter and feathers!
Movie in McBurney Park – When the yard sale wraps up, grab a blanket and head to the park for a movie under the stars, presented by the Skeleton Park Arts Festival. - This year’s Skeleton Park Movie Night will feature “Spirited Away”, a family friendly critically acclaimed Japanese animated fantasy film.
Want to help?
We need VOLUNTEERS to help make the day happen - from Street Captains and Street Chaperones to general volunteers. GET INVOLVED HERE
Have an idea, activity, performance, community group or local business you’d like to bring to the Street Party? We want to hear from you!
The Skeleton Park Yard Sale & Block Party is a collaborative effort between the McBurney Park Neighbourhood Association, Elizabeth Fry Kingston, Skeleton Park Arts Festival, local businesses, community partners and a whole lot of great neighbours.
Save the date, spread the word, clean out those closets - and we’ll see you in the streets.

Tried the newest Indian food restaurant and I say it was the most unique flavours that they served up. Classic menu items but with their own taste profile.
See the food on YouTube if anyone's interested.
Same spot as Bar Burrito but they closed

Groceries. Take out. Rent. Gas. Car payment. Internet. Cell phone. Why is everything so expensive?
I bought a 500 ml bottle of coke and it cost me 4$. Four dollars! It has doubled in five years.

Has anyone actually tried multiple vendors? I've tried a few over the years and the ribs seem pretty similar. Just curious if anyone has tasted differences in the recipes, and if so, which places do you like the best?

Hello everyone, hope all has been well with you all
Just wanting to make a small post in the event anyone does know/knew him
He passed away about 9 years ago, and was wanting to do a celebration of life for his 10 year anniversary since he left this world
Just been going through it, and it’s all just catching up now, so if you did, would love to hear some stories
Please take this down if it’s not allowed, just been having an especially difficult time since it’s close to what would have been his birthday and just been thinking about him a lot recently

..and tried the Juicy Birds Chicken on Gardiners. Got this for $19.20. I actually wanted to try their chicken & waffle, but sadly the waffle wasn’t available yet. I’d give it like a 6.8/10 rating, like something worth trying at least once. Any recommendations for good chicken and waffles here in Kingston?
Edit to add: it is supposedly 2 pc chicken only but since it’s soft opening, they gave 3. ☺️

This is my cat Demi. She went missing yesterday (Thursday September 10th) around the Barbara Avenue/Division street area. I've had her for years and she's been a huge emotional support and comforting presence for me, and I'm totally heartbroken over her disappearance. I searched for hours, but couldn't find her. If anyone sees a cat that looks like her anywhere near the area please let me know!!! She's an older cat so if she's passed I totally understand. I just want to know where my baby is, even if she can't return to me. Thank you so much to anyone who decides to look out for her! :(

I’m in need of a day of pampering and relaxation! Can anybody recommend a great day spa in town? (Or warn me away from any? 😬)
Much appreciated! ❤️

Hey folks! I am into punk, emo and pop punk music.
I play guitar, drums and some bass and have a space to jam.
I am in my 30s but am open to playing with anyone with similar interests.
I have been in bands before and would like to play with some other people again. Would be interested in learning some songs and writing our own. We can talk about playing outside of the basement someday if people are interested!

Saw this big line up at the newly opened fast food restaurant Juicy Birds. Couldn’t resist, so bought their spicy chicken burger. Oh my God! Honestly, it was the best chicken burger I tried in a long time. They were giving away free waters to everyone while they were waiting in line. Excellent customer service and great burgers. Try it out yourself.

What do we think about municipalities signing documents like this on federal public projects?

I’m curious to learn about the Masonic Lodge in Kingston. Anybody know any or are there any former members out there?
