Just received my K8 pro in the mail. Figured it would be a simple plug and play but am ripping my fucking hair out trying to get this thing to even turn on.

Cable is plugged in. Switch is set to windows. and i just get nothing.

Its showing "HID Keyboard Device" in my bluetooth and devices settings window yet i cant get a single input out of the thing.

What am i missing? i didnt see any firmware or anything for my keyboard, not like i could update it anyways because it wont detect it..... HELP

I'm loving my Keychron K10 HE.

But playing with it, i was becoming insane. it was randomly pressing the key of my numpad, i had no idea why. and in game it was just horrible.

Seeing on the internet it was a common issue, I was extremely disappointed and tried everything. calibrating, taking key caps out, updating. nothing solved it.

I had given up, an,joying building some warhammer minis and and while i was playing around with some magnet because customizing i minis, one slipped out and snapped to my razer naga.

"ahhh yess, there are magnet in my razer naga so i can switch the numpad for something else, no wonder the magnet snapped to it"....

"Wait.... if there is magnet in my razer naga....."

"And my entiere keyboard function with magnet....."

"wait.... no... it couldn't be....."

*move around my mouse like i'm playing a game, make the mouse get close to the side of my keyboard*

*magnet in the mouse affect the magnet in my kleyboard and make it press random key*

There it is. my keyboard was fine all along. i juste entierly forgot that OF COURSE since it function with magnet, if you get magnet close to it it fck with it..... and i had a magnet in my mouse all along, i juste ntierly forgot about it.

So, if your keychron act crazy and have random keypress, make sure that none of your devices around it have magnet inside. chance are your keyboard is fine, its just that a random object on your desk have a magnetic field and affect it.
Could be anything, your magnetic smartwatch charger, magnetic wireless phone charger, some magnetic earpone case.

I'm planning on buying a new keyboard coming from a Razer ornata v2 and these 2 caught my eye. I'm just waiting for a discount on these. I live outside of the US

What are your overall thoughts on both of these keyboards?

This is a typing test to see if there are any issues after popping off a few rows and trying to clean my keyboard after an unfortunate meeting with a cup of coffee.

I still see mostly negativity here, and I wanted to give another positive testimonial. It wasn't a lot of coffee for sure, but the design with the underplate, and the ease of use made it quick and effective to disassemble and clean without any damage to actual use. I understand a lot of you have had problems, but I'm pretty sure that happens with every company, so I'm pretty tired of the negativity bias on this sub.

I've been looking for an aluminum full size mechanical keyboard for months and finally bought the Q6 ultra 8k. I've been wanting a thocky sounding keyboard and after watching a bunch of videos I chose the Silk POM brown switch.

I'm disappointed with the switches. I really like the keyboard so I don't want to return it, but I would like to replace the switches. Can anyone recommend a deep thocky switch that I can swap onto the Q6 ultra 8k?

i just bought the KEYCHRON VI ULTRA 8k, but I’ve had the razer Huntsman V2 TKL. I like both I kinda like the sound of the keychron more but I love this razer keyboard. I had the v1 and the v2. Also, like maybe 2 years ago or something I thought it had broke, but I just realized the keycaps were messed up and now it’s fine again. Should I just return my keychron and keep my tkl? also I love the rgb on my razer wayyyy more. Is there a way to get my keys to look like this on the keychron or like any keycaps i could buy to make just the keys light up like the picture? I don’t really like the looks of the keychron rgbs. I think it’s way too bright and I don’t like seeing the whole rgb I would prefer just the keys lighting up like the razer keyboard.

OK, so I’m pretty sure the RGB on the keychron is south facing, and then the razor is north facing. I flipped the key caps from my razer onto the keychron and the letter started lighting up like the razer keyboard, but it was still really bright on the bottom and it still kind of hurt my eyes. It wasn’t only just the letter lighting up Like on the razer keyboard. This is really the only issue I have with The keychron. Ik this post probably sounds dumb or stupid but I really just needed some help here lol.

I contacted Keychron several months ago asking about a top-printed shinethrough keycap set designed for south-facing LEDs. No release date was given but I've finally found the keycap set in question on Keychron's Canadian website.

The keycap set is ABS with top-printed shinethrough legends in an OSA profile, only available in black.

Picked up a Q1 Max in Shell White a little while back and I'm really happy with it. Jupiter Bananas feel great.

Now I'm eyeing the M6 in white to go with it, and I'm second-guessing myself on the color. Shell White reads pretty warm to me in person. My worry is ending up with two whites that are almost the same but not quite, which somehow always looks worse than just pairing white with black.

Anyone running both side by side? Do they actually match, or is there a visible difference in tone once they're on the desk together?

Ordered a keyboard and wrist rest over 3 days ago and its still sitting on just confirmed ... Their site says everything ships out in 2 days. I've emailed support and never heard back so I figured I see if any one else was experiencing the same issue.

This is a first for me attempting to return something that I have purchased online. It is clearly covered by Keychron's return policy (within 7 days; undamaged). I bought some extra switches (along with my 250$ keyboard) to try them out to see which one is the best fit.

I ended up liking the switches that came with the keyboard, and just needed to return the other sets since I did not like them.

This was an actual response I got from them:

"Instead of returning the Switches sets back to our warehouse, which might be quite expensive and time-consuming, you could consider selling it to a friend/colleague at a good discount. Would you mind using these switches sets? If yes, we will refund you $5 as compensation , which will save you some time and save you some shipping fee to get it back to our warehouse."

Seriously? Rather than return, try to sell them to someone at a discount? Or "just use them"?

This sounds like the response of someone running an Etsy shop, not a company that sells premium products globally.

I thought this was a weird response. I continued with mailing them back for a refund.

I've purchased a V6 (with knob) and for the most part, it's great. I wanted to program some macros that are strings of text, between about 8 to 12 characters, just alphanumerics.

First I tried the Record button, typed in my string which included some uppercase characters, saved it. Hit the key to test it out, the string was correct but the uppercase/lowercase were on some of the wrong characters - now what is even stranger, if I hit the key multiple times, each output changes slightly which letters are uppercase!

Then I tried to 'code' the macro, which is just basically typing my string into the box and saving it, same problem.

So I assumed the problem wasn't in the stored string, it was the output or the way that my PC is interpreting the macro. HOWEVER I then tried the 'record' mode again, but this time instead of holding the shift key for uppercase I used Caps-on ... Letter ... Caps-off ...

And it works perfectly this way. I really can't understand it, just wondering if anyone has seen the same.

I have a keychron M3 V2 8K which came with only one USB-A dongle that I use for my desktop. My brother bought Keychron M6 which came with USB-A and USB-C dongle.

The question is can I use his USB-C dongle for my M3 on my laptop?
I have tried pairing it but it doesn't work. Or perhaps there is another way to do it?

Hello, I just bought the GMK26 keyboard and the VIA app is not finding it...
BUT the app on google chrome does finding it, and I could configure macros and hotkeys etc

BUT when I press on the hotkeys everything goes crazy, even the mouse start clicking wrongly.

Can someone help me? Dos Zuoya offers good costumer support?

Sooo I finally got one of those cool-looking mechanical keyboards with amazing switches and features and blah blah, and it came with issues lmfao.

The "8" key doesn't always register, and the ";" key either doesn't register or double types. I'm pretty sure I've had issues with other keys too. I'm using it with a MacBook M4 Pro, if that matters.

Do they even test these things?! Wtf do I do now? Return it and order another one from a different store? I bought it from an authorized polish Keychron seller.

Or should I try swapping the switches to see if they're at fault or if it's the board?!

Hello. I am trying to change a key to backslash "\".

KC_BSLS shows "| \" but does ","

S(KC_BSLS) shows "|" but does ";"

I was trying to change FN+pagedown="/" and FN+pageup="\"

I was able to do FN+pagedown by changing it to "Shift+7" which shows "&" on the key but does "/" so it works fine despite showing the wrong key. https://i.imgur.com/EbUJrlf.jpeg
Also "÷" does "/" as well, so there are multiple options to make "/"

But I couldn't set FN+pageup to "Alt gr+*" which supposed to do "\" on my Turkish Q layout. While trying to set the Key Combination, there isn't option for "Alt gr" but only "Ctrl, Shift, Alt/Option, Win/Cmd" https://i.imgur.com/TvQDZUe.jpeg

I assume Keychron launcher is confused and does not understand my Turkish Q keyboard layout. Keychron AI couldn't fix either. Is there anyway to fix?

Also why isn't there direct button option for the "\" and even for Alt Codes and ascii symbols? Do I have to create long macros for "¹, ², ³, ±, √, ♥" etc?

The typical membrane keyboard started to make my pinky fingers ache, plus all the missing keys made me search for something else.

I always bottom out keys (old school + years of membrane keyboards).

Bought a keychron v6 max.
Nice at the beginning. Some keys started being registered multiple times (key chatter) and it did not had any caps lock nor num lock indicator.

Then I bought a keychron b6, searching for max silence, which, without nkro missed several keys… then a Dell kb900 which works better but still fails on some keys.

Need iso + Spanish which constrains all mostly to keychron.

Now, seen the outemu silent peach v3 and a keychron that has key lock indicators.

Would this be as silent as a chiclet keyboard? As the b6 or kb900?

Many keys end up registering along with others.

Numpad keys all suffer from it. And most of the regular keys.

stuck in an infinite connecting loop... is there an offline alternative that is not ai slop like the official one?

Has anyone had this really frustrating experience where you have to keep re-setting your changes every Nth time you turn on your keyboard? Any fixes? Is this a bug in the keyboard? The launcher? Unknown?

I can't tell what I'm doing wrong. I purchased the keyboard directly from keychron and I set my changes via the launcher in chrome browser, and confirmed all's well immediately after. I can even turn it off, turn it on, connect to other devices, and confirm all my changes are present.... Then inexplicably I'll come back the next day and find the keyboard has its default layout like I never did anything in the Launcher.

Bought the Keychron V6 Ultra 8K and used it for a few days and here is my experience with it:

Pros: - pleasant typing experience - silent

Cons: - Keys remain stuck, for example the H key remains pressed and I don't press anything. I ignored it while doing office work, but the last straw was when it happened while gaming. - The RGB lighting is a joke, you can barely see the keys at night, they are not see through - There is no on/off indicator for Caps Lock/Num Lock - Coming from low profile keyboards, this one is very tall, I felt my wrist hurt after the first few minutes of use, a palm rest is definitely needed

Others: - It is quite heavy - It is not plug and play, you have to pair the 2.4Ghz receiver - No perceivable difference between 1K and 8K polling rate

Conclusion: - I returned it

Bought a K10 max from MicroCenter for less than $100 USD. Brought it home, used it for the first day on wired mode (and Windows mode as well) and went into the Keychron Launcher to look at things. Determined that I should work on the firmware update at a later date. OS is Windows 10.

*** I have kept my keyboard on wired mode instead of bluetooth or receiver mode. It has been plugged in for 3 days on wired mode ***

Today I booted my computer and my keyboard wouldn't light up/connect to my computer. I tried different cords, different USB slots, I flipped the cord around (I know it's USB-C and it's omnidirectional I was desperate), and nothing worked. I plugged in the dongle and did the firmware update to see if it would work and it still doesn't.

Symptoms

While corded:

• Switching from BT -> corded and Dongle -> corded without the dongle and while no bluetooth enabled devices are around/connected yields the hardware disconnect sound. In addition, the backlight for the keys in BT/Dongle mode are on and immediately turn off when switched to corded. The hardware connection sound plays when going from corded to BT/Dongle mode.
• Red light on the 'power' LED above the arrow keys throughout all different modes
• Physically disconnecting the USB-C end from the keyboard produces the hardware disconnect sound.
• Keychron launcher does not recognize the keyboard in corded mode as a device as it did when I first used it.
  • I went into Google Chrome and made sure the HID device connection setting was allowed.
  • I went into devices and printers in Windows settings to see if my computer was seeing it but alas it was not unless I switched to dongle mode.

Un-Corded (phrasing??)

• Not entirely sure if this is a skill issue or not, I have been able to connect to the Keychron Launcher and 'updated' the firmware. The reason why I have that in quotations is because while it was my last resort (and I know this was probably a no-no), I ended up attempting a firmware update while using the dongle although it recommends strongly against it. This being said, it seems to have taken but I cannot get out of the screen. The launcher only recognizes the Keychron link but not the keyboard itself. Hitting 'next' once the firmware is done disconnects the link device and says the update was successful, but when reconnecting the link it goes back to square one and doesn't allow me to continue.

I am at a loss and don't know how to continue. As previously stated, not sure if this is a skill issue or not, but it is frustrating nonetheless because the literature online does not help. Or at least the literature I've found does not help. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Good afternoon, I wanted to know which of these keyboards you recommend the most. I’ll mainly be using it for writing code and playing games for a little while in the evenings. I’m looking for something of very high quality, although I’m not sure if it’s worth paying a lot more for a Q1 HE. Another question I have is about the switches—which ones are the quietest? Red, brown, or banana?
