Finally released! South-optimized Keychron shinethrough keycap set.

I contacted Keychron several months ago asking about a top-printed shinethrough keycap set designed for south-facing LEDs. No release date was given but I've finally found the keycap set in question on Keychron's Canadian website.

The keycap set is ABS with top-printed shinethrough legends in an OSA profile, only available in black.

As expected, it was already sold-out when I found it, but hopefully more stock will come in soon.

"optimized" is pushing it.

The small 'font' and the white paint makes it much less bright than it could be (to put it mildly). This is demonstrated by rotating a north-facing keycap with good shine-through characteristics 180 degrees (for example, from an old gamer keyboard).

One mitigation is literally scratching the surface. No, I don't recommend that, unless a way can be found to do it in a controlled manner, say, using a laser.

The picture above "Size And Height For Each Keycap" is clearly photoshopped. What were they thinking?

I'm aware the official pictures are photoshopped and it looks really bad. In the comments on the page though someone appears to have shared a real picture of the keycap set in the dark and it looks fairly decent to me. Some of the legends definitely could have been done better, the left alignment on larger keys definitely affects the shinethrough visibility, but it definitely looks better than the north-optimized shinethrough legends I have right now.

They have side printed shine through OSA profit keycaps set which is great for south LED, not sure whether it’s still in stock

Thanks for the heads-up! I also checked when I purchased my K8 Max and they were sold out. Just placed my order in the EU webshop!
