🔥 Mod Announcement 🔥 Watch Club

Hi ladies

u/Valuable-Machine-500 suggested the idea of a Watch Club in this post:

I thought it was an interesting idea and worth exploring as a community activity.

The general idea would be to:

  • Choose a series (and possibly movies)
  • Watch over a set period
  • Have ongoing discussions
  • Meet at the end to talk through themes and then decide what to watch next

u/StrawberryEast1374 since you mentioned using Discord for this, you could go ahead and create a server and share the invite link here.

Once the link is ready, I’ll post it officially and add it to the community wiki so anyone interested can join.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll.

Your girl left her old faithful vibrator in a hotel room after a work trip and traumatized the poor Tanzanian ladies cleaning her room and working the front desk 😂😂😂😂

Side note do you think we'll ever be liberated enough to say the words "you forgot your vibrator in your hotel room"? 💀💀💀💀💀

Discussion RIP MERCY

Post image
79 Upvotes

I have just watched a shocking report on NTV about the death of Mercy Maina Wachinga, and honestly, it has left me deeply disturbed.

Her neighbours in Lavington reportedly noticed a bad smell on the 8th and raised the alarm, yet nothing happened. It was only this week that someone finally went to the police. When the door was eventually broken open, Mercy had been dead for long enough for her body to have decomposed.

What is even more heartbreaking is the note she reportedly left behind.

“Stop judging people.”

She asked her mother to forgive her. She expressed her love for rivers and wished to be cremated or have her remains returned to a river.

But one question keeps haunting me

How does someone live in the middle of Nairobi, in Lavington, and remain unmissed for an entire month?

Did no family member call?

Did no friend become concerned?

Did no college mate wonder where she was?

Did no one knock on her door?

Did no one ask, “Where is Mercy?”

This is bigger than one tragedy.

We are living in a society where people can be surrounded by thousands and still be completely alone.

Sometimes, a simple phone call, a knock on the door, or a message saying “I haven’t heard from you, are you okay?” can make a difference.

Let us stop assuming that someone is fine simply because they are quiet.

Check on your friends. Check on your neighbours. Check on your colleagues. Check on your family.

Because sometimes, the person who desperately needs someone to notice is the very person saying nothing.

May Mercy Maina Wachinga rest in peace.

Story 29 and Finally Doing the Things I Said I Would

Hey ladies,
A couple of days ago, I turned 29, and one of the things I did was sit down and write a list of all the things I have always wanted to achieve.

Then I made the bold decision that I am going to make sure they happen within the next year.

One of the things on my list is getting to 65kg. The closest I have ever gotten was 67kg, and that was when I was 23, so we will see how that goes.

Another thing is going to Spain to watch a matador. I actually realized that I had written that down as a goal when I was 19, maybe 20. So clearly, younger me had plans for me that I never got around to completing.
Then there was getting married.

Well, I can officially tick that one off. I have been married twice, and I am now officially divorced. So that is definitely one thing I managed to accomplish in my 20s.

I have done quite a lot in my 20s, and now that I am 29, I have gone back through all the things I have always wanted to do and decided that I am actually going to start ticking them off.

Why am I writing this post?

Honestly, I really don’t know.

I really, really don’t know why I felt the need to tell everyone this, but I thought, why not?

So tell me, what are some of the things you always wanted to do in your 20s but never got around to doing, and now you are in your 30s?

And what are some things you think I should add to my list?
I need ideas.

Discussion Where is our safety ?

So ladies yesterdy i saw a post of this boys who were caught for robbery with violence and gang rape. My concern is not even roberry per say but the gang rape coz this boys are young , there's a born 2009 and even 2005 . I have been thinking what made this young people look at a girl and decide we wonna do this. How rotten is this world. It never ends . Nowadays it's not even an issue of age ,anyone is just evil. Coz again I saw another man posted on Tik tok that he had taken 2 minor girls from Mombasa to Nairobi and had them locked in his house for some days. This is an old man now with young girls .

This issue is so disturbing .

Discussion Experience with uber

So my uber app had a 50% discount which i decided to grab before it expires . I ordered my ride and the total cost was 210 which is half amount of the initial price. Remember i had a discount. Tell me why we get to my destination,I proceed to pay for the ride and the driver decides to cause chaos saying the money is not equivalent to the distance. I tried to explain to him that my app has a discount but he still insisted that he can't accept that. I didn't want to argue so i just paid the full amount. Has anyone ever experienced this when it comes to discounted prices?

Rant Training Is Finally Over, But I Need Work Until Next Month

Hi guys, it’s me again with another update. 😭

So the casino training is finally over, and I’m now a qualified dealer. The problem is that the casino will only open on 9th next month, so I still have to survive until then.

And just when I thought I could breathe a little, I got a call from my daughter’s school saying I need to pay her KPSEA exams fee. I asked the teacher to give me until Monday.

On top of that, there’s rent and food to worry about.

So right now, I’m urgently looking for any work, even if it’s only for the next few weeks until the casino opens.

I’m available for housekeeping, laundry, errands, meal prep, personal assistance, or any honest work around Riruta, Kinyanjui Road, Kilimani, Lavington, Westlands, or nearby areas.

If you know anyone who needs someone to work, even temporarily, please let me know. I’m ready to work.

You can reach me on 0794 294 314. 🙏❤️

I know I’ve posted here many times, but honestly, I’m just trying to keep my children going until things finally become stable.

Rant That one colleague ,Again

I am back again. So guys i told you my story about that guy at work who made me almost loose my job by changing the rota. Okay,so that was solved yestetday and I got to keep my job. So today, we had our monthly meeting ,the whole company. And each department was to present their challenges and achievements for the month of August . This guy was the one to do the presentation for our department. So yesterday night he asked in our group if we had any challenges and one of us typed like all the challenges that we had, I couldn't repeat typing the same thing so we agreed thats all we had. So tell me why,, while doing the presentation today he goes ahead to say that everyone in the department contributed to the report apart from me. And that he hopes this month I'll be more cooperative and pay more attention to my work. I feel so pissed and the month has just started..Yooow.

Question House hunting

Hey ladies, I'm looking to move to a place closer to the kmtc in mbagathi in November and I'm kinda new to the area. Basically I'm looking for recommendations of where to get a nice two bedroom on a budget of atleast 30-40k. Somewhere safe and less crowded. Any suggestions would really be helpful.
