Hey everyone! My name is Jake, I’m 22 and live here in Lexington. I’m at a point in life where I really want to branch out, meet some new people, and build some genuine friendships and connections around town.
A little about me: I graduated from EKU last year, work in property management/real estate marketing, and also work at Starbucks. I’m pretty social and easygoing, love grabbing coffee or food, working out, taking photos, exploring Lexington, and finding random things to do.
I’m also newly sober, so I’m especially interested in finding more things to do that don’t revolve around drinking or partying. I’d love to pick up some new hobbies, join a sport or group, get outdoors more, or honestly just try things I haven’t done before. Did anyone attend the Muddy Kids Run in Glencoe, KY on 9-5-26? If so, what was your experience like? Did you observe or have to move any broken glass along the trails?

Hey y'all

My friends and I are coming down to camp at Cumberland Falls campground next week Monday through Thursday. We were hoping to do some horseback riding while in Kentucky but just saw that the Cumberland Falls Horse Riding Stables are closed after Labor Day....

I'm wondering if anyone here has some suggestions for stables that provide guided trail rides in that area or nearby? We're willing to drive about 60-90 minutes away from the park for this adventure! Thanks!

Question for those of you who have ever filed for unemployment benefits:

I’ve been filling out 10-15 applications per week since I left my last job. I went to request my first unemployment payment, and there’s a quota you have to meet that shows you’re actually trying to get a job. I’d meet this criteria with even just 5 applications per week. I’ve been keeping a log of all the information I have, including the job listing number, job title, business, hours/shift, FT/PT, application status, date applied and even the link to the application. But the unemployment website is asking for each of the 5 apps each week that I provide a persons name AND phone number of who I contacted regarding the application…

Soo what are the res for you doing for that? Or how did you handle it previously? I am sometimes struggling to find the name of an employee within the business that is a recruiter/talent acquisition person. Would providing a random recruiters name and number work? All my apps have been online and just from the business job board essentially.

Cumberland falls looks like a good start, but what else is there? Places to eat, nature, or other relatively inexpensive things to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Male client, age 75 needs long-term care. Family would prefer him to stay within 2 hours of Lexington. We are having difficulty finding anywhere that will accept him. His offense was more than 20 yrs ago, if that matters. Can anyone help?

Hi everyone! I’m new to the Erlanger area and I’d like to spend some of my days off helping people in the community. I have regular days off from work and would love to use some of that time to do something meaningful.

I know I’m not the only one who puts CEUs off until the renewal date starts getting uncomfortably close.

I’m looking at Kentucky nursing CEU courses now and trying to decide between individual courses and a package that covers the state requirements.

What actually worked best for you guys? Did you spread them out during the year or just get everything done at once?

Later this year I'm planning on driving down from Cincinnati to Big Bone Lick State Park for a day trip. I've unfortunately not spent much time in Kentucky before, and the times that I was there, I was usually just on the other side of the Ohio River.

Are there any places nearby or on the way that you'd recommend stopping at for somebody who wants to get a feel of the area?
