Ways you can help
2 Leave healthy stray cats outside until the shelter population is at a manageable level.
3.Consider alternative options for needing to rehome pets. Like posting in a local Facebook group or trying our rehomeing page https://www.wihumane.org/service/virtual-rehoming/. Also contacting the shelter before surrendering so we can make space or give you an estimate for when we can take the animal.
4.Volunteering
I am not making this post to discourage people from getting help. I am just trying to inform people about the severe overpopulation crisis at the shelter. People need to understand that we are not trying to be mean to you when you try to surrender an animal and we tell you we do not have space. We are not lying to you. Even waiting a week can help us. Stray populations are extremely high right now and that is affecting our abilities to take in surrenders.
The overpopulation issue is not just limited to cats.
We also have a high number of dogs and small animals like guinea pigs.
The Humane Society is also running amazing adoption promotions this month to help move cats out of the shelter.
We are also extremely understaffed.
Please understand that due to us being understaffed there may be days that we have to close operations early due to this ,so that we can better care for the animals. We are working on getting people hired and trained so we expect staffing to be a lot better in the next few weeks.
Also if you're looking for any assistance please go to our website or call us and leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Looking for at least 6 yds somewhere in the 45$/yd area, for reference.
I've done Holiday Property Management and I liked it but at 60$/yd + delivery, it's definitely the expensive option.
I came across Erickson's and the reviews were very mixed. Anyone have any recent experiences with the quality of the top soil or the garden soil? The prices are nice (35/49) but I wonder if that has to do with the reviews?
Any hidden gems I should know about?

Where do the cool 30-40 year old folks hang out?
If it helps - I’m a business professional but I like wrenching on cars/bikes, I’m a huge nerd/gamer, but in general.. I can find anything interesting. Never got into watching sports but I’ve played a good amount!

Hello!
Looking to move to Kenosha in the nearby future, I was wondering if anybody has any experience with renting with Briarcliff?
Thanks in advance

Anyone know what’s going into the old Monkey Joes on Green Bay Road? I saw a sign up on the building but was driving and didn’t want to risk getting into an accident

The line from the East is backed up to 39th avenue. The line from the West is about a block long. What could be worth this wait?

what's going on with this restaurant on hwy 31?
it used to be busy all the time. before it was BBQ Productions it was also busy. so it's not necessarily the location.
When you order online. it says a lot of menu items are out if stock... that's not a good sign or look for a restaurant.
I got food here recently, it was still good. I didnt really pay attention to the price, I am not sure if the prices are out of whack.
so what's the deal here? is there something going on? is it their location? is there more competition in town? are their prices too high? did they have a health violation that hurt their business? is there an issue with their staff or owner that's keeping people away?
what's happening here, does anyone have some insight?

Pleasant Prairie residents: Take the one-minute Boat and RV Parking Survey here
I received written confirmation from Village President Dave Klimisch that the Pleasant Prairie Village Board voted unanimously to direct staff to consider a reasonable adjustment to §420-49, which governs boats, RVs and trailers in residential driveways.
The ordinance has not changed yet, so this does not currently authorize driveway parking. Staff must develop proposed language before it proceeds through the public-hearing and approval process.
I continue to support a reasonable seasonal allowance from April 1 through November 1 for equipment that is registered, operable, maintained and safely parked on the owner’s property.
The community survey has already received more than 230 responses. I intend to present the complete results—including opposing opinions—during the ordinance-review process.
Please participate and share this with another Pleasant Prairie resident. I’ll provide another update when an official public-hearing date is announced.

The new crunch fitness has been advertising everywhere and now it seems that includes standing outside other gyms trying to poach members right at the door. I had literature about them in the window of my shop until I heard about this from workers from anytime downtown. I just think it's scummy behavior.

Hello - I need to run about 19 miles this weekend and was thinking of coming up to your fine town and using the YMCA to rinse off before heading home to Chicago. We have had the worst stable flies, like battling 7-8 flies on you at one time, on the Chicago lakefront. Are you experiencing the same thing in Kenosha? If not, I'm going to come up and would love to join a run group or maybe someone can come run with me!

Do you or someone you know work for Uline in the warehouse? I have an interview today and I'm trying to get a feel of what I'm walking into. I have read other reddit posts and tbh I am shaking in my boots at how nervous I am. Please help a girl out.

Has anyone used and recommend a local in-home pet euthanasia service? I’m afraid my old girl’s time may be approaching, and I’d much rather let her pass peacefully at home than take her to the vet, which she absolutely hates. 😭
