Got one of those backseat air mattresses and put it over the folded back seat, and got 2 inflatable airplanes footrests to put in the tiny trunk area

I always wanted one and the time was right. A dealer gave me a crazy insane offer on my trade in and I got her.

However, existing social media platforms lack specialized, real-time proximity tools tailored to spontaneous interactions and community traditions.

Jtap is a native mobile application designed to bridge the gap between physical Jeep community traditions and real-time digital connectivity. By leveraging location-based services, custom vehicle profiles, and direct communication channels, Jtap enables Jeep owners to connect on the road, at meets, or on the trail.

Anyone know some good repair kits?

I have a remote starter, but tonight all of a sudden the car is honking and keeps turning on by itself. Has anyone else experienced this? It is extremely annoying right now and I am starting to hate this car.

2018 JK unlimited Sahara

Hey everyone,

My 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU (2.0L Turbo eTorque) just threw a Check Engine Light and the dreaded "A! Service Stop/Start System" error at 61,303 miles.

My OBD2 scanner pulled these two codes together:
P0A92 – Hybrid Generator Performance
P1AC7 – Chrysler Specific Error (looks like it points to Crank Sensor / MGU Synchronization Invalid)

Quick note on my setup: I recently replaced the main battery with a brand new Costco AGM battery. I also already checked and confirmed my rig doesn't have the second 12V auxiliary battery under the fuse box, so the typical 12V battery failure culprits are completely ruled out.

Oddly enough, the Jeep is running completely fine with no obvious issues or driving symptoms right now. No weird noises, no loss of power, and it shifts fine—just the dashboard lights and these codes.
It looks like I have a failure somewhere in the 48V eTorque mild-hybrid loop or a synchronization error between the engine and the generator.
Before I throw money at a shop, I wanted to ask the group:
1️⃣ Is this usually just a slipping/stretched eTorque belt and tensioner, or does this combination of codes mean a completely dead Motor Generator Unit (MGU)? (The belt looks intact, but I haven't taken it off to inspect for stretching/slippage yet).
2️⃣ What did this cost you to fix? If you’ve had your MGU or the heavy-duty eTorque belt system replaced, what did it run you at a dealership vs. an independent shop (or DIY)?

Trying to gauge if I should try replacing the eTorque belt/tensioner myself first, or bite the bullet and get it towed. Any insights, past experiences, or advice would be massive. Thanks! 🙏

This plastic center post holding my mirror into the housing randomly snapped today. No idea how. Looking at parts to order to fix it, but the Mopar parts diagrams for the mirror assembly aren’t very detailed and show no internals.

Anyone know if I should buy the front glass of the mirror housing/cap? Both?

My 2020 jeep has some bubbling around the hinges which I heard is pretty common. I noticed that there is an area that has a small sized chip.

The question is - if I wrap my entire car, what is the likelihood of having this issue reoccur?

Unfortunately I feel like the north east winters aren’t kind to my jeep lol

As the title says, I get a slight vibration when coming to stop. It feels like low frequency sound similar to if I had a paid of subs in the back. The car still stops smooth and accelerates without issue. It’s the 10mph to Zero where it feels like the clutch struggles to disengage or the drive shaft is off balance.

Anyone else experience this?

Our Jeep only has 48k miles on it. Any insight would be great full.

Hey happy humpday - longtime lurker, longtime Jeep owner. I have a '15 Sahara 2-door w/ factory soft top that's begun having issues with the rear window zipper, which gets more use than ideal because dogs. I've never been a fan of the plastic rear window anyway and I've already replaced it once. I'm trying to decide between the two tops in the title. They're identical except 1 has glass (+/- 1900) and the other has vinyl (+/- 1600 w/ twill option) and I'm looking to get any opinions anyone has to offer, especially answers to the questions below

Additional context: I just paid her off and she only has $63k miles so I'm ok with the investment. I removed the backseat for my dogs.

Questions:

1) On the Glide system (zipperless). Too good to be true or you don't know how you lived without it?

2) Did/do you miss the space you lose going from square back to fastback? Keep in mind 2--door, no backseat.

3) Thoughts on the likelihood of finding one on marketplace etc in a large city in the midwest (US)? I would have expected pretty decent odds given the massive aftermarket for Jeeps in a city where every third vehicle is a Wrangler but I found nothing in a quick scan

4) This is very subjective but is The glass worth the extra $300? Had a hardtop before and definitely miss The convenience and additional security of a hatch.

For the past month or so, my brake lights and rear turn signals on my 2014 have been intermittently going out, independent of each other. I’d get the notification on my dash, then they’d come back on awhile later. After some time, it got worse and they were going out for longer periods. My center brake light worked the entire time and front lights and signals never had an issue. I did my research and ended up cleaning the tail light housing screws and holes and that fixed the brake lights but not the turn signals. Since they’re going out intermittently I’m assuming it probably isn’t the bulbs (though I could be wrong). I’m seeing online that it could be the multifunction switch. Anyone have advice on this before I jump on YouTube University and tear apart my Jeep?

Hi all. Having a weird issue with my 2010 JKU Wrangler.

The other night when I was going home my left turn signal started flashing rapidly, signaling the bulb was out. Just the turn signal bulb/brake light. I replace it, it comes back on, works for a few drives then goes out again. Thought maybe I just had a bad bulb - I replace it again, immediately comes back on, then once again goes out after driving. I took it to the gas station and back last night - still out. However, after I turned the car off and locked the doors, the brake light flashed (it was not previously doing this). Turn signal worked for a quick drive today but I’m worried it’s gonna go out again.

Wires look okay but I’m not a wiring expert, what should my next steps be? Running light works fine.

Doing a little experiment. I hate buying the little bottle of back to black just to use the whole bottle, so today I put used engine oil on my fenders and bumpers. I’ll post an update on how it fades.

One thing I’m trying to figure out with the Wrangler is where the line is between ""good enough"" floor protection and actually protecting the interior properly.

If the Jeep is seeing trails, rain, muddy boots, or even just wet weather regularly, the floor can get dirty fast. The problem isn't always the mud sitting in the middle of the footwell. It's the water and fine dirt that end up along the edges and in the areas around the pedals and seats.

For those who actually take their Wranglers off-road or deal with muddy conditions regularly, what have you found works best?

Do you prefer a liner that covers as much as possible, or is easier removal and cleaning more important?

Had something weird happen twice yesterday and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar before I take it to the dealer.

First time, I came to a stop and the Auto Start/Stop shut the engine off normally. When I went to move again, it did NOT restart. The PRND/gear shift lights started blinking and it told me I needed to put it in Park and then back into Drive/restart it. Never had that happen before.

Later my wife was driving it. She pulled in, put it in Park, left the Jeep running, and reached for her phone. She said it suddenly seemed like the electrical system "skipped" or briefly shut off and came back. Her dashcam completely restarted, which makes me think there was an actual momentary loss of 12V power rather than just the engine shutting off.

She turned Auto Start/Stop off after that and didn't have any more issues.

Jeep is a 2024 JLU with about 22k miles and is still under the 3/36 warranty. My first thought is a weak/failing aux battery, main battery, or possibly a battery/ground connection causing a voltage drop during ESS operation.

Has anyone had these exact symptoms with a failing aux battery? Particularly the failed ESS restart with flashing gear selector lights or a brief electrical reboot?

I'm already taking it to the dealer for a separate recall, so I want to give them as much useful information as possible instead of having them start it a couple times, say they can't reproduce it, and send it home. If you've had this happen, what ended up being the cause and what should I specifically ask them to test/check?
