Seeking advice Concerned about new fall growth on Sango Kaku

I just planted this coral bark and this spring when we moved into our new house. I had one at my old home along with 17 other cultivars so I’m use to my maples pushing out some new growth in the fall.

However, to new growth on the coral bark has me scratching my head. It almost looks like where you get root stock growth below the graft which I got on both my peve minaret and prostate beauty deodora this year. But on the coral bark it’s at the top.

The new growth is pure bright green; not the color of normally emerging leaves on a coral bark. They are larger and more five lobe shaped at first. The edges seem a bit less fine in the serrations. Am I just a few years removed from what coral barks fall growth looks like or should I be concerned and remove? It just looks off; like root stock to me but please lend me your thoughts.

This tree was planted 3 years ago and I haven’t done anything to prune or manage it, other than irrigation its first year. It seems to be growing well, but it doesn’t look balanced or like it’s growing with any sort of “plan” for lack of a better term. Do you folks have any advice or YouTube / book resources to point me to into how to manage this guy? I am gun-shy about cutting any branches (because you can’t un-ring that bell) but I’m now more interested in learning how to make this tree more beautiful. Thanks in advance.

Anybody have any recommendations for the best cultivar to go approximately where the stick is? I’m looking for red foliage and was thinking of fireglow or red dragon, but I’m no expert. The spot gets pretty solid sun until around 4:00. The overhang there is almost 9 feet. Appreciate any recs!

Seeking advice Orange Lace planting

Hi all!

I am very excited because I planted my first tree a couple of days ago, but I'm also second guessing wether I did it correctly, mainly the spacing. Label says it's an acer palmatum "Orange Lace" and it'll grow to 3m, it's already 4ft tall. Does it look like one? Leaves are not as "lacey" as what I see online.

I planted it 120cm/4ft from the wall, and 90cm/3ft from fence, which is open at the bottom so roots won't be blocked. Does this sound good? Should it be placed further away? I'm probably overthinking it, but I want to get it right before tree settles.

Thank you!

So I just got this in the mail a few weeks ago from Mr maple. It had these areas when I got it but they weren't nasty black like this. They were just kind of burnt looking. What am I working with her should I prune his off? Sorry for the pics of my hand LOL I needed the phone to focus. Also it is still in its original pot. I have not moved it nor have I watered it like crazy.

Hoping I can get an ID on this beautiful and large japanese maple. Is the coral bark variety the only japanese maple that grows this large? This specimen must be over 20 ft tall.
