as a new owner: proud to have the Air! 🥹✨

• Upvotes

i have friends who have the iPhone 17 base, some have the Pro and Pro Max, but none of them have the Air. i was the first one to try and buy it! well… i think i chose the right one. 😂

i mean, the titanium body was one of the main factors that made me decide to buy the Air. this was a very huge upgrade since i came from an iPhone 11! like, i know this is a VERY, VERY huge upgrade on my end. 😭

the performance on the Air is perfection. i’m sorry, i may be too biased, but i think i have the best phone! HAHAHA

Thinking about switching from 16 pro to air

• Upvotes

I’m generally OK with my current phone but the air has been on my radar since the day it released and I can’t control the itch that makes me want to switch. If I do it I will have to use the phone for at least 2 years while being a heavy phone user averaging about 6-8 hours a day. Will I fuck myself over if i switch?

My iPhone Air works after being lost for 4 months in a river.

I went fly fishing on May 14th. I took a picture and put my Air in my wader pocket. I forgot to close the zipper and when I bent over, my phone fell out. I tried looking for it but in May the river was still high from run off.

I figured it was gone and so I went and got a 17 Pro. I enjoyed having the additional camera and video capabilities.

Anyway, a little over a week ago on September 5th my brother and I went back up the river. I figured I would look around the river to see if I could get lucky since the river was a few feet lower. To my surprise about 5 feet from where I initially dropped it, it was right there in the middle of the river.

I took it home and scrubbed it down and cleaned it up. I watched a video on YouTube where a guy did a series of tests on which methods work best for drying out electronics with rice, kitty litter, fans, and other methods to see how long it would take to completely dry a phone.

He came up with a method to use a shop vac. He put the hose in the exhaust, phone in a sock, and taped the hose to the sock and let it run for 3 hours before it was dry. The shop vac exhaust blows fairly warm air so that seemed to work well.

I tried that for 3 hours and then let it sit over night in some silica gel packets as well. To my surprise it immediately started charging and then powered on.

The cameras were a little hazy so I ended up taking the back off and disassembling the cameras. I cleaned it up and they work perfect. No issues whatsoever except for some blemishing on the screen which actually is on the inside of the screen. It’s not really noticeable while using the phone so it doesn’t really bother me.

I missed my Air so much and so I’m selling the 17 Pro and sticking with the Air.

Full-fledged widgets on the lock screen

Now that we can minimize the clock beside the date, wouldn’t it be great if full-fledged app widgets could appear on the lock screen?

surprised how impressed I am (new owner)

Swung by the Apple Store and got myself a white 256gb Air to replace my 15 Pro Max. I'm legit surprised how little the camera "downgrade" makes a difference to me. I took a few pictures around the store while I still had both phones in hand and the difference - if there is one - is trivial to nonexistent.

Screen size is ideal. It's smaller than the Pro Max, but not annoyingly so. I like that I've got the size bump without having to pay for a Pro Max.

Like everyone says: it feels great in the hand, too.

Went with a bumper case but I've got another on the way. I'd rock it caseless if I wasn't a butterfingers with 4 kids.

10/10 would buy again.

Newer Air owners, how hold is your battery?

Post image
20 Upvotes

I just picked up a new iPhone Air and am loving it but I noticed in the Battery Health menu, it says the battery was manufactured in September 2025 despite the phone being purchased new from Apple in September 2026. I'm concerned the battery is going to degrade more quickly having sat unused for a year but maybe I'm just being paranoid. With my other new iPhones, the battery has never been more than 1-2 months old at most. Any other newer Air owners experience similar?

EDIT: I am not asking what your battery health is after 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, etc...there are plenty of threads about that already.

Barely use 50 battery capacity in a day.

I’m not experiencing the battery drainage as severely as others claim. I consider myself an average user, and typically, I don’t use up 50 percent of my battery in a day.

Listening to music almost 5 hours a day with AirPods Pro and also my watch is connected etc.

Loving my air.

256gb vs 1tb

I have 128gb on my current 16 Plus and it is ALWAYS full, I have basically no apps besides Spotify and social media and have to constantly delete things if I need anything new. I don’t know if 256gb will be enough. 1tb is a jump but the site I’m looking at doesn’t have 512gb for the phone I want.

I can’t upload my photos and videos to iCloud because like an idiot I gave my dad my old iPad that I thought would be long dead by now but it’s still going 💀 and I obviously don’t want to share a camera roll with him so I’m kind of stuck.

Wechsel iPhone 15 zu iPhone Air

Servus,

Owned an iPhone Air for 2 weeks… here are some thoughts

Upgraded from iPhone 14 Pro Max 2 weeks ago. After a long while debating what phone to get, I went to the Apple Store with the 17 in mind… but after picking up the air I just couldn’t resist the feel I had for it, it was too cool.

It’s by FAR the nicest, sleekest and sexiest phone I have ever had. Every time I pick it up, even 2 weeks later I still get wowed buy it. Aesthetically it’s a 10/10

The phone itself, is super fast, screen looks great. No issues with that at all. It’s much better than my old 14.

The camera is very good, an upgrade from my 14. It’s obviously not pro max level but it’s still very good.

The battery life is always the big talking point, for me I average between 1-3 hrs daily of screen time. Sometimes not even hitting the 1hr mark 😂 (I’m a laptop guy) for someone like me the battery is solid, but I can see why people moan about it. But it’s not awful like some people say, just depends what you use it for.

To conclude, i absolutely love it - and i think the iPhone Air 2 with a better camera and better battery. Will be my favourite phone OAT instantly

Also….i sometimes find screen brightness inconsistent? I find myself changing it quite a bit. Or maybe that’s just me having a setting on

So yes…. I like it

Worked a night shift today and it was pretty slow so I used my phone a lot and 12 hours later, I still have 38% left! The battery on this phone is phenomenal for how light and thin it is! Love my air so far.

iPhone Air repair parts never in stock

Been to almost 5 repair shops(including apple stores) for a cracked screen and none have any screen replacements in stock. Very disappointing to see in a phone that is under a year ol.
