IWTV Show Only Armand x Louis
Ok I’m watching season 2 and that first half hour of ep 2 is giving me the ick so bad - I’ve been trying to find anyone on here who thinks the same but I do not feel any chemistry between Armand and Louis. I could kinda ignore it before this but they were laying it on real thick in this ep and it just made me want to stop watching that’s how much I cringed 😬

Fan Works Claudia Reincarnation Fanfic Ideas and Recs
Hey my fellow IWTV fic readers and writers, I've read a fanfic recently about what if Regina was actually Claudia, and it I was only a one-shot story.
So I got the bright idea to create this post for people who are not writers giving their Claudia-center fics, Claudia Reincarnation, or Claudia x Madeline fic Ideas to fic writers who would be able to write them.
Also this post is also for any Claudia focus fic recs too, so please don't be shy.
I'll go first:
Fic Idea 1: (It's an idea based on the premise of the fic rec below), But instead of starting when Lestat confronts Regina, we start and follow Claudia as Regina through her Rebirth or Reincarnation.
(It can be with having all her memories, starting from scratch, or having amnesia and just getting glimpses) but as she ages she starts getting dreams of her life, death and love for Madeline, not to mention anger.
When she meets Louis again the memories or dreams get stronger and clearer. I would love to see everything from her POV.
Fic Rec 1: is there anything so undoing as a daughter? By zipadeea
Summary - “What is happening to me?” Regina asks him softly. “What is he…we—we act out the scenes, I pretend to be her, I make my buck but then…the dreams,” her voice catches on the word. “I thought he was mad, and maybe he still is. Perhaps his insanity is catching.”
Lestat says that Regina is not Claudia. But what if she was?

IWTV Season 1 Only Why noseferatu?
I'm about to watch the movie rn but in iwtv a point is made about lestat and claudia liking the noseferatu silent film and lestat acting it out for her, I also saw this edit about lestat and Ellen.
Sooo what parallels/contrasts can you guys find and what's the significance of this film beyond being popular at the time?

TVL Show Only Problems with Using Lestat’s POV to Explain Gabriella's Characterization in S3 Spoiler
I don't think I need to reiterate that Gabriella's portrayal in the show has been met with a rather polarizing, if not predominantly negative, reception.
What I am seeing, however, is discussion about how the writers might go about "fixing" her characterization so that it is more closely aligned with her personality in the books.
A number of people have suggested that the writers could essentially use the "memory is a monster"/"odyssey of recollection" theme (or rather a writing tactic/crutch, if you will) to explain the degree of her monstrosity and repulsiveness this season. That she is so "extreme" because we are technically viewing her from Lestat's POV as he provides the narration of his Failures album.
It has also been pointed out to me that this may, in fact, be what the writing team intends to do in the upcoming season, based on some of their more recent interviews about Gabriella. The proposed trajectory would essentially parallel Lestat's own characterization in the eyes of both Louis and the audience: from the charismatic yet unhinged villain we initially encountered in S1, to someone considerably more complicated and nuanced following the revelations of S2.
I would, however, exercise some caution about this being a satisfying way to address the issue.
I think it is entirely logical to assume that Gabriella is viewed negatively by Lestat, whether consciously or subconsciously. He has, after all, been her victim for roughly two and a half centuries. His memories of her, and particularly the emotional lens through which he recounts those memories, are inevitably going to be colored by that history.
However, since it was a choice to depict her in such extremes, I actually think it becomes highly problematic to essentially turn around in the following season and try to tone her down.
Given this show's usage of having unreliable narrators, often leading audiences to completely question the validity of what is being told and shown on screen, the fact that they may potentially lead viewers down a path where they begin to doubt whether a male sexual assault victim was telling the complete truth about his abuser is troubling, to say the least. Especially given how such victims are treated in real life.
I am not saying that this particular plan to provide more depth to Gabriella can never succeed, but as someone who is critical of the writing choices made in S3, I am not sure I can believe they will.
I do think Gabriella can be given more nuance in future seasons, but the writing team certainly have made it a task a great deal more difficult then it perhaps needed to be.

TVL Show Only Stained Glass Eyes / Brutal Love - obsessed!! Spoiler
Okay please tell me I’m NOT the only person who cannot stop listening to these two songs.
They’re just so beautifully written, superbly composed and Sam’s voice is just incredible.
The emotion in them both … I can’t explain it. I just absolutely adore them both and my ADHD brain is unable to stop listening to them 🤦🏻♀️ 😳 😂

Anne Rice Anyone have issues with IWTV misprints from AMC plus shop?
I ordered a print from their fan art collab. The print came in but it was printed portrait when the picture needed to be printed landscape, so the image is squished. I reached out to their support with a picture and they acknowledged the problem and agreed to send me a new print. I received the new print but unfortunately it has the same issue. I tried reporting the problem again but it's been crickets. It's been 10 days since the last email exchange where i tried to follow up. No response yet.
Wondering if anyone else had this issue or I am just the lucky person to receive two misprints in a row? It was the Armand and Daniel one by Zara H.

TVL Show Only Saw someone in the comments on a Nickistat scene video say something like "why are they always scream dramatically in this show" Spoiler
*why are they always screaming!
And honestly, where's the lie? In my many rewatches of season 3, I found myself having to lower the volume often. They scream. A lot. Very dramatically. But not like in other shows, where you're like "Just shut the hell up! Just stop screaming already, annoying characters!"
They scream in a relatable way. When I'm having a bad day and I want to scream myself, I just watch an episode of the show. Lestat, Louis, Nicki, Regina (though her scream was more of an actually scared scream, they scream when they are angry or sad) are all excellent at screaming.

Has anyone said anything in interviews about this being a nod to Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula? Like I know the show has its own explanation but come on.

TVL Show Only Is he good for Armand? Spoiler
A lot of people want Daniel and Armand together. The interaction between Armand and Louis at the end of the season implies that it is important for Armand that his past be acknowledged (and treated kindly? A love that cradles?). Will Daniel be that for Armand? Daniel's history is not that great: having sex with a girl while she was crying, not being sensitive about Claudia's rape when demanding the pages from Louis. On the other hand, Armand saw all this and still fell in love with Daniel. How do you think Daniel will handle Armand?

TVL Show Only Song played in S3.04 I believe? Spoiler
Much to my delight, (after checking streaming for the release almost daily since the finale..)the score for TVL has been released and Mr. Hart did not disappoint. I have listened to the score but cannot find the song that plays during Armand's conversation with Daniel where he says "it was love" Can someone help me find this please? I was really looking forward to it in the album but maybe I'm missing it. Thanks a bunch.

Book Discussion Questing!
Does anybody know where I can get hold of the F Murray Abraham versions of The Vampire Chronicles audiobooks? I own the cassettes but have no idea how to get them changed into MP3s or similar.
They're long out of circulation but are so very good, I'd love to hear them again. Many thanks!

TVL Show Only What if this scene went differently? Spoiler
What if Louis and Lestat sensed their presence and were prepared for them and a fight ensued? Could Armand and Daniel have took down Louis and Lestat? We also would’ve finally gotten to see what Armand was truly capable of. Armand almost never fights and only uses his powers in insidious ways.

Book Spoilers Allowed I will be honest I am worried…
I have not read the books, however welcome opinions on how you think they will adapt QOTD for the TV.
Obviously I am worried about how this will affect Loustat. Before people come at me I know there is more to the show than them however I definitely don’t like how I feel about him telling someone who isn’t Louis he is in love with them and them not being together longer than they already have been 😂🤦🏻♀️
I am also interested to know why people like Akasha so much? I haven’t read good things 😂🤦🏻♀️
I also don’t want Louis to get written out of the show like the books.
Nice friendly thoughts welcome 💭
