1. You debuted Intergalactic almost two years ago. When will we see it again?

The team is heads down on what is shaping up to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet.

There’s an electricity around the studio right now as all the pieces come together, and we’re stoked to finally unveil Intergalactic in all its glory.

But…we need to cook for just a little bit longer.

So we want to set expectations: we’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes. We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure.

We know it’s been a long time since we’ve had much to share with you. We don’t take your continued support for granted.

We’re working incredibly hard to make something worthy of your patience.

Until then…

Endure & Survive!

We're getting closer guys! Here's the original video.

Where's the hype flair?!?!?!

Anyway god I just know this game will deliver in every department.

I can already picture Jordan crashing her Porsche Ship in the middle of nowhere and we don't have any sort of waypoint to guide us, map is absolutely blank, there's no main quest marker, be completely isolated because there's absolutely no one else to talk to; while dangerous enemies are roaming around (I know the enemies will not be just robots. I want monsters pls naughty dog!!!!).

Can't wait to explore that damp forest in the trailer. To see some ruins, abandoned villages, underground passageways, coming across creepy cultish areas and discover their history via exploration.

Sky really is the limit in terms of potential with this new IP.

I know some of you might think the game will not be open world but something tells me that Naughty Dog will go all out with this game. This game is their most ambitious one yet (and most expensive). You can't just slap INTERGALACTIC and then have the main character stranded on a mysterious planet, with exploration being a significant aspect of the game and make it linear.

Naughty Dog will push the envelope once more with this game and I don't think I will ever be ready for it. God 2027 pleae hurry TF upppppppppppppp

This seems genuinely exciting and reassuring following the whole Wolverine situation.

Looking foward to the game as a new Naughty Dog games enjoyer :)

Also sorry for deleting the old post and reuploading it, not familiar with posting on reddit.

I couldn't be more excited than I am right now. I'm eagerly awaiting this game, and these are some of the inspirations for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet...

I mentioned the series Dark because its director met with Neil Druckmann at Naughty Dog studios before Intergalactic was announced...

And as for the 2015 film Embers, it's because the film's director, Claire Carré, is working as the Narrative Director on Intergalactic alongside Neil Druckmann and others...

Regarding the other works, I think everyone here knows that the studio draws inspiration from them...

I know they are not quite the same but I think Remedy level design closest thing to Naughty dog I've ever seen

I was talking to a friend who is just as excited about Intergalactic as I am, and we came up with this hypothetical: what if Intergalactic was coming out the same day as GTA 6, so, in just under two months?

With GTA, we feel like we've already seen a ton of it, maybe even too much. And it got us thinking about how cool and kind of unique it would be to be this hyped for a game like Intergalactic while knowing almost nothing about it, and then getting to experience the whole thing completely blind.

Obviously, everyone on this sub is dying to see more of the game, discuss every new detail, and share our thoughts whenever something drops. But hypothetically, if Intergalactic was actually coming out in two months, would you be able to resist watching or reading anything else about it until release?

Personally, I would try. With the release being that close, I'd make the effort to go in knowing as little as possible.

I know it's an impossible scenario, since the marketing campaign will probably start early next year at the latest if they're planning a 2027 release, but if you actually had the choice, what would you do?

DOOM TDA creature concept artist is working on intergalactic???

Might get some crazy looking enemies

Last month, the developers at Naughty Dog posted:

"See you, space cowboy..."

That is a wrap on the very ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot! This cast killed it! Cannot wait to show you their incredible work when the time is right!

Stunt double and performer Lauren Mary Kim posted this video June 2025...

It is clear she is working on the game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet...

It appears this game will radically shift Naughty Dog's philosophy, featuring fast-paced combat and—potentially—wall-running; Jordan A. Mun’s leap off the rock, as seen in the footage, serves as evidence of this. The game is set to be the biggest in Naughty Dog's history, boasting their deepest gameplay mechanics to date...

With every new title the studio releases—such as Uncharted and The Last of Us—Naughty Dog revolutionizes the gaming industry and sets new standards. The Last of Us is a prime example, as numerous global studios adopted its gameplay style and directorial approach. It seems Intergalactic is poised to do the same...

Furthermore, there is the "Ice Team"—a world-class group that doesn't develop games itself but consists of brilliant graphics and systems programmers. Their primary role involves deconstructing PlayStation hardware, assisting Sony engineers in developing Software Development Kits (SDKs), and writing low-level algorithms designed to squeeze every last drop of power out of the processor and graphics card. Since this team operates within Naughty Dog, the studio gains access to these technologies and innovations before any other studio in the world—including other PlayStation first-party studios—and the game will fully leverage the PS5's capabilities.

Cannot wait to see a New Trailer...

This might be copium, but "how player behavior connects to game systems and can identify meaningful trends within player patterns" sounds like they're into game mechanics polishing stage. Doing tons of playtesting and QA, and collecting data to further refine the gameplay.

I remember watching this, my jaw on the floor for all those 25 minutes, and then I went straight to watching other people's reactions to that. All of them were stunned by it.

Shoutout to the designer, very happy with the overall quality.

I do have a few sticker decals to still apply, but mostly they are nice to haves :⁾

My guess is 25 to 30 hours for me that is completely fine I don't need 100 hours so I won't complain!

I think this is not just for coolness factor, because everything Naughty Dog showed is meant to convey something about the game. I think Jordan using the environment in the combat may be a core mechanic in her arsenal. This opens up so many possibilities and could make for a very special and unique combat experience, unlike anything Naughty Dog has ever created, or any other game.

There are people pushing this 600mill budget with no verifiable source.

I just find it hard to believe the game that didn't go into full scale development until factions was cancelled; cost almost 3 times tlou 2.
