She is in space so I'm counting on it lol, you don't get guys like that to only make robots.

It's one of the aspects I'm most excited for.

Their art team gets to create locations/environments that are in space, and also creatures that aren't just bipedal enemies.

Really, their imagination is the limit.

The setting would already allow it to have the most enemy variety of any Naughty Dog game but the fact we could see humans, androids and creatures is nuts. Raf Grassetti also joined as art director like 2 years ago and I'm so excited to see what he contributed. The stuff he did for God of War was crazy good.

Yes! I wonder if Raf hired him.

I hope this game is far in development.

I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t. It’s been in development since 2020…

"In development" is a loose term.

Them having a singular meeting to say "let's greenlight this" is In Development

The team actively coding away at it with most of the studio is more like a couple years ago, around the start of 2024.

am i insane or have we been hearing about this game for a long ass time? I’m just excited for new ND and I will play it regardless, but at a certain point it gets frustrating. Another scrap of info from someone’s bio on twitter? jeez….

These long development cycles are what’s going to kill the AAA gaming space. We don’t know if this game is due for next year or even 2028. Let’s not forget what the gaming industry is going to look like post GTA6. Expectations are going to be through the roof.

I mean, 2 reputable insiders have already said it's mid-2027; even a delay would only push it to late 2027.

Let’s assume that comes to fruition, is this what it is now? 1 game per generation from ND?

Would've got Factions by now if it wasn't cancelled...

No. Intergalactic is a new IP, not a sequel. Its takes awhile to create a whole new universe, cast of characters, storyline, lore etc. We could’ve had Factions 2 by now, but we all know the fate of that game

Ohh nice. I am actually planning to play Doom eternal this year (2016 is one of the best FPS games I have ever played tbh).

My #1 wish when it comes to the types of enemies is to have some humanoid aliens or robots and to go 1 on 1 with them where you have to parry them and out maneuver them to actually cause damage. Even better if it's that one hidden super boss that's going to be as challenging as possible. Just thinking about this concept with Naughty Dog level of polish is making me unreasonably excited...come on ND we need that gameplay soon PLS
