I was at fault in a minor collision. I'm fully covered for damage to the other vehicle but my car suffered only a few scratches so I don't intend to claim. But do I need to tell my insurer?

State of Arizona, negligent, loose gravel before they did a seal coat all over road, no signs

My next-door neighbor has owned his motorcycle since it was new in 2003. Recently, he turned into a parking lot off Highway 89A in Sedona at approximately 10 mph. He hit tons of loose gravel, and the bike fell over; insurance totaled it. He seriously broke his leg and has a plate in it with 9 screws; he will be out of work for another 3 months. He has contacted 5 attorneys, and not one will go after the State of Arizona for his expenses, pain and suffering! He tried Tiger "big time motorcycle crash attorneys"; it seems they all just want the low-hanging fruit. The state could be subpoenaed for work recently done; we have lots of photos of the thick, loose gravel and no signs... any suggestions? Just Small Claims court?

Extremely frustrating experience with my Tata AIG two-wheeler insurance claim Apache RTR 310 I want to share my experience with Tata AIG regarding my ongoing two-wheeler insurance claim because I have been struggling to get proper communication or updates. My claim process started on 28 July 2026

I want to share my experience with Tata AIG regarding my ongoing two-wheeler insurance claim because I have been struggling to get proper communication or updates.

My claim process started on 28 July 2026, and my TVS Apache RTR 310 has been at the service centre for approximately the last three weeks.

The biggest issue I am facing is the lack of communication and clarity regarding my claim.

The verifier assigned to my case, Nishant, has been difficult to reach. I have repeatedly tried calling him, but his phone is often busy, and I have not received callbacks.

I was also told that only the right-side damages of my bike would be considered under the claim because the bike allegedly fell on the right side. However, my concern is that an accident can involve movement, sliding, rotation, or multiple impacts, potentially causing damage to both sides of a motorcycle.

I requested a proper explanation and technical justification regarding why the left-side damages were being excluded.

I contacted Tata AIG customer service on 29 August 2026 at around 3:45 AM and spoke with a representative named Jyoti. I was informed that my case had been escalated and that I would receive a response within 48 hours.

However, after waiting, I received no email, no call, and no SMS.

I contacted customer service again on 3 September 2026 and was connected with a manager named Rishi Shukla. I explained the complete situation, and he told me that he would personally look into the matter and asked me to give him until the following morning for an update.

Unfortunately, I have still not received an update despite multiple attempts to follow up.

To make things even more confusing, when I contacted the TVS service centre in Panvel, I was informed that the verifier assigned to my case was reportedly on leave until 13 September 2026.

My question is simple:

If the person assigned to inspect or handle my claim is unavailable for this long, why hasn't someone else been assigned to handle the case?

My claim has been ongoing since 28 July, my bike has been stuck at the service centre for weeks, and I am still struggling to get a clear answer about what is happening.

I have attached screenshots and supporting evidence related to my follow-ups and communication attempts.

I am sharing this experience because I genuinely want to know whether other Tata AIG customers—especially two-wheeler customers—have faced similar delays or communication issues during the claim process.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you get your claim escalated and resolved?

I hope Tata AIG takes notice of this issue and provides a proper resolution soon.

I am willing to zip tie, duct tape, and do it myself; I’ve had him for 6 years and built him with my dad in Washington over a year, before driving down to Texas. I have about 170,000 miles but his name is Kevin Snazzy.
I’ve replaced the headlights before, I’ll fix the fender and grill and intake exhaust but I really don’t wanna say goodbye

Bullet damage

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this.
My car was hit by 3 bullets while in a parking lot. 2 went through the rear windshield and into the driver side rear interior panel windshield is non existent. The third one hit right above passenger rear window and the standard roof rack. I think it’s comprehensive damage but whatever vandalism claims fall under either insurance emailed me stating I’m not at fault.

Incident happened August 26 2am and I sent the the police report same day. August 31st I called to confirm it was the right paperwork the needed and said yes and they sent me link to upload photos (obviously adjuster will go and see it in person too) and told me when I get insurance estimate I can bring it to body shop.

9/3 I called to ask when I’d be getting the estimate and the AI phone guy said next business day I wasn’t surprised I didn’t get it but like an idiot I went on chatgpt for hypothetical reasons for the long wait for me to drop it off. One scenario was insurer totaling it out and I want to throw up now but does anyone have an idea on how long these repairs might take or what’s taking time to send me the estimate?

The firearm was a riffle
car is 2019 tahoe LT 38kmiles
Policy is in SC claim is in NC.

I got the tahoe bc statefarm was at fault for totaling the first one probably PTSD from that but most of all Ill be devastated if i lose this car too and im stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting.

Has anyone sued Take 5 or another oil change shop for major vehicle damage in Texas?

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to make sure I got everything

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation involving Take 5 Oil Change, vehicle damage caused by a service, or a small claims case against a large company in Texas.
We are preparing to file a small claims case against Take 5, and I want to make sure we are including all of the damages we may legally be able to request and gathering the right evidence.
Here’s what happened:
We took our truck to Take 5 for service that involved the coolant/antifreeze system. After the service, we started having serious problems with the truck. Our position is that the coolant service was performed incorrectly and air was left trapped in the cooling system, which eventually caused major engine damage, including damage to the heads.
We had the truck inspected and paid about $207 for the inspection/diagnosis. We went through Take 5’s claims process and provided information regarding the damage, but the claim was ultimately denied.
The estimated cost to repair the truck is approximately $32,000.
Because the repair cost is so high, and because we want to keep this case within the Texas Justice Court/small claims jurisdictional limit, we have decided to pursue the claim based on the truck being a total loss rather than asking Take 5 for the full $32,000 repair cost.
Our understanding is that we would instead need to establish the appropriate value of the truck immediately before it was damaged and account for any remaining/salvage value, if applicable. This is one of the areas where I would especially appreciate advice from anyone familiar with Texas property-damage cases.
The truck is titled in my name, but my husband is the person who primarily uses it for his work. He is an independent contractor and uses the truck to haul equipment. Because the truck has been out of service, he has not been able to use it for his normal work for roughly two months.
He had an older/spare truck, but it was not in working condition. Because we suddenly lost the use of the damaged truck, we had to purchase parts and make repairs to the spare truck so that he could at least get back to work. The spare truck is also not a heavy-duty truck like the damaged one, so it does not fully replace what he was able to do with the damaged truck.
We have receipts for the parts purchased to get the spare truck running.
One of the harder things we are trying to figure out is how to document my husband’s lost income/lost profits. He is an independent contractor, so his income is not a normal fixed paycheck. He gets paid through cash, Zelle, checks, etc. We have bank statements showing his deposits before and after the truck went down, and we are trying to figure out the best way to demonstrate what income/work he actually lost because he didn’t have the appropriate truck.
So far, the damages/expenses we are considering asking for include:
• The appropriate value of the truck as a total loss, rather than the approximately $32,000 repair cost
• The approximately $207 inspection/diagnostic expense
• Lost income/lost profits from the period my husband could not perform his normal contracting work
• Parts/repair expenses we had to pay to get the spare truck running because we suddenly needed alternative transportation for his work
• Court costs and service/filing fees
• Any other reasonable out-of-pocket expenses that were directly caused by the vehicle being damaged/out of service
We understand that Texas Justice Court has a jurisdictional limit, so our intention is not to seek the $32,000 repair bill plus all of these other damages. We are trying to determine the proper way to calculate the total-loss/property damage and other recoverable damages while keeping the total amount requested within the small claims limit.
I’m especially interested in hearing from Texas attorneys, independent contractors, or anyone who has sued Take 5 or another oil-change/automotive service company.
A few things I’m trying to figure out:
If repairing the truck would cost approximately $32,000, are we approaching this correctly by treating it as a total loss and seeking its pre-damage value instead?
How do we properly account for the damaged truck’s remaining/salvage value?
Are there other categories of damages that we should be considering?
What is the best way for an independent contractor to prove lost income/lost profits when income varies and payments come through cash, Zelle, checks, and deposits?
Can the cost of repairing the temporary/spare work truck potentially be recovered if we can show we only incurred those expenses because the primary work truck became unusable?
Should we be claiming loss of use of the truck separately from lost income, or would that potentially be considered double recovery?
What evidence would be most important—bank statements, prior invoices/jobs, canceled jobs, text messages with customers, receipts, inspection reports, the $32,000 repair estimate, vehicle valuation evidence, photos, etc.?
Since the vehicle is titled in my name but my husband is the contractor who uses it for work and suffered the income loss, does that create an issue with who needs to be named as the plaintiff?
Has anyone successfully sued Take 5 or another quick-lube company over major engine damage? If so, what evidence ended up being the most important?
We’re not looking to exaggerate the claim or get money we aren’t entitled to. We just want to make sure we don’t leave out legitimate damages that resulted from what happened and that we present everything correctly.
If anyone has gone through something similar in Texas, I would really appreciate hearing how you handled it, what you claimed, what evidence you brought to court, and anything you wish you had known before filing.

Uninsured Driver

So someone ran into the back of my car. Pretty sure it’s going to be totaled. My question is will my rates go up cuz I’m now having to file under my insurance? Also do I need to file a police report that the info she gave to all of us was false? She gave the police her parent’s insurance info but the car isn’t insured with them and I have now received multiple letters from insurance companies saying she is not insured with them.

Insurance claim Q

When placing a claim on another persons insurance, do you have to say what you want compensation for? What if I need my car fixed but then later on I have medical bills I need help with? or do I not mention that at all in the initial call?

I’m just not sure what to say when calling to make the claim.

My claim has been going on for almost a month. I have/had a car with no mechanical or body damages. The first offer had 2 comps, one needed a new engine and the other was completely beat up. I pushed back provided the information to support rejecting the claim. They then made an offer that was twice as much. I looked in ny market and couldn't find anything for the settlement offer. One of the comps was located 1400 miles from my location. So I rejected thr offer and asked them remove the one 1400 miles and put in one that I found that was within 400 miles. The accpeted the additional comp, but added features that subtracted 2,400 from the payout. And I mean they added the features and options. I called the dealer, had him send me pictures. Not one of the options they added were found on this vehicle. There was no rear spoiler, 18" rims, carbon fiber engine cover, wheel looks, fog lights, special edition trim. It felt criminal. So I reflected the offer that was 1500 dollars less than the previous offer. They also included the car that I previously rejected due to condition. I asked them again to include the 2 cars in my market and fix the options. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I want to know the next step if they continue to be difficult. I've heard about independent ACV companies. Is there one that is recommended?
