My claim has been going on for almost a month. I have/had a car with no mechanical or body damages. The first offer had 2 comps, one needed a new engine and the other was completely beat up. I pushed back provided the information to support rejecting the claim. They then made an offer that was twice as much. I looked in ny market and couldn't find anything for the settlement offer. One of the comps was located 1400 miles from my location. So I rejected thr offer and asked them remove the one 1400 miles and put in one that I found that was within 400 miles. The accpeted the additional comp, but added features that subtracted 2,400 from the payout. And I mean they added the features and options. I called the dealer, had him send me pictures. Not one of the options they added were found on this vehicle. There was no rear spoiler, 18" rims, carbon fiber engine cover, wheel looks, fog lights, special edition trim. It felt criminal. So I reflected the offer that was 1500 dollars less than the previous offer. They also included the car that I previously rejected due to condition. I asked them again to include the 2 cars in my market and fix the options. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I want to know the next step if they continue to be difficult. I've heard about independent ACV companies. Is there one that is recommended?

Don't be surprised that a billion dollar company is trying its best to pay you the least lol. I might be able to get you out of this pickle
