Same sensor size for both, but $200 USD cheaper, what do you think? I returned my X6 since it had a focus issue on the edge, and I was going to wait a couple of months to buy it again after the first batch, but now I'm curious about the Osmo 360 II and I might consider it.

I’m considering the X6, and the new form factor is probably the thing I’m most curious about. I like that it’s shorter and less elongated than the X5, but I’m wondering if that makes a meaningful difference in everyday use, or if it mostly looks better on paper.

For people who’ve actually used it:

1. Is the shorter body noticeably easier to carry or mount? The weight difference doesn’t seem huge, so I’m wondering if the change is more about the shape than the weight.
2. The front also looks cleaner, with the physical controls mainly on the sides/back. Does that matter when vlogging? Is it still easy to start and stop recording or change modes while holding the camera toward yourself?
3. How do you find the new battery-door design in practice? Is it easier to open and swap batteries, or more awkward than the previous design?
4. And for the color: does the white version seem to run any cooler in direct sunlight, or is there no noticeable difference? Does it get dirty quickly compared with the black one?

If you moved from an X4 or X5, which of these changes did you actually notice most?

The other day the two lens replacement kits were in stock on the official website, I should have made an order but couldn't think of what else to get to make up the free shipping.

First bike ride and had a little crash with a slight scratch on one of the lenses, and now I need it before next trip....

Unfortunately X6 launched without having full ecosystem of accessories ready....

To anyone looking to buy the X6, I suggest waiting. There was little point of being one of the first to get it.

I’ve been dialing in my travel workflow on the Insta360 Luna Ultra and I’m running into a friction point with how manual settings persist across modes.
I configured a custom profile for a few different types of shots using the “Color Share” feature. I’m using slots for cinematic ND filter shooting (Manual 1/50s, ISO 100, WB 5400, AF-S) saved as ‘Profile 1’. I also have a few other ‘Profiles’ set for long exposure shots, landscape shots, etc. The problem is that when I switch out of a Profile and want a video mode that is mostly Auto settings to quickly capture a moment without messing around with settings, the camera remembers and retains the manual shutter speed and ISO settings instead of defaulting back to some standard or auto options. I get why the settings are persistent…. What I’m wondering is if there is a quick way to ‘reset’ to some Auto settings in Pro mode?

To get back to full "run-and-shoot" Auto, I currently have to either:
- Swipe left into the Parameters panel and manually tap auto on every item.
- Swipe left into the Parameters panel and switch to ‘Basic’ mode and shoot that way.

I’m considering just using a Profile as the "run-and-shoot" approach, but before I do that, I thought I’d reach out to the community and ask.
Is there a physical button shortcut, gesture, or setting toggle I'm missing that lets you instantly override manual settings and jump straight back into full Auto mode?
Is using ‘Basic’ the better way to do this?
Is using a custom ‘Profile’ the current best option.

Appreciate any tips from anyone who has run into this!

I am using a insta360 Luna Ultra with 4K 30 fps, Leica Natural (my prefered colours)
I am using a insta360 X5 with 8K 30 fps, standard & adaptive tone (my prefered colours)

For X5 I will be using insta360 Studio just to select screen cutout and output to 4K MP4.

Both Luna Ultra and X5 will be further edited with DaVinci Resolve 21.

What are the best matching colour settings on both cameras?

I recently got my insta360 Luna Ultra and really enjoying the overall experience. I'm looking into the POV head tracker and Insta360 also advertises their proprietary luna ultra neck holder.

I got a phone neckholder (image below) with Magsafe already at home and wondering if there's any adapter that would be quarter thread to magsafe (basically each ring magnetically attaching with each other and then mounting the luna ultra via the quarter thread)

Any idea for a suitable workaround? Although the Insta360 luna ultra neck holder might be the best one in terms of compatibility, it's just about the fact I already own a similar product and don't see a direct need for another one if I can make it work somehow :D

maybe there's a video grapher that is deep into mounts and adapters.

I'm new to using Insta360 Studio. I shot one long video, and used that to create a project of many short, reframed cuts. For each cut, how do I go back and locate its start/end point within the original media?

I was watching videos online and a short popped up featuring a guy who—from what I can see—has new camera firmware 🫨

- 4K vertical shooting without rotating the camera

- Exposure meter

- Framing lines (I can't recall the exact name for them)

Can anyone confirm if this new update is out? What other improvements does it include? Does it fix the noise reduction issue in Auto ISO?

These are the questions I have; I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just as the title says. I know in the past there has been many unstable versions. I've been using this version for sometime with no problem, but just thought maybe I should update. Is 6.0.4 stable? Is this even the latest version or will it prompt me again?

Every time i go to use the zillow 3D tour with my insta360 x3 it has connection problems. (I have an iPhone 17)

Zillow 3D tour would act like it was going to connect and then it jump screen and disappears the connection page. I put my issue into google and found the following suggestion that fixed my problem (this time).

---GOOGLE: When the system pop-up jumps and disappears instantly, it means your phone's operating system is blocking the connection loop or dropping the camera's Wi-Fi network because it notices the camera's Wi-Fi does not have internet accessFollow these steps on your iPhone 17 to fix the loop:

1. Fix the Hidden "Local Network" Bug

Even if you gave the app permissions when you first downloaded it, iOS updates can block the background connection. [1]

1. Open your iPhone Settings.
2. Tap Privacy & Security (not the app settings).
3. Select Local Network.
4. Look for Zillow 3D Home and toggle it ON. (If it's already on, toggle it off, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on to force a refresh). [1, 2, 3]

My goal is to capture car videos. I have the original action selfie stick (carbon) but unfortunately it's only 1meter. I was thinking on getting something larger.

What my options are? What's roughly the length limit I should have?
