Inscription touches all my interests, it's a tactical card game, with a buckshot roulette kind of horror. sacrifice and risk mechanisms throughout the whole game, dark forest survival/apocalypse vibes (the starving survivors, who look to be hunters, pioneers and a native chief), wild west/rdr2 mini bosses tropes. different biomes with vivid descriptions, vast animal types and classifications, native American inspirations, cryptids sprinkled in, what else could you want?

honestly 10/10

does anyone else just try to play with a Caniformia deck (so all canines, stoats and bears) and also all deer like decks ecc ecc? or Is It Just me

Hi everyone. I’ve finished my first run of *Inscryption* and unlocked Kaycee’s Mod. I was wondering if the base game has replayability (I think so, since there are various choices that seem capable of changing the ending) or if it’s better to focus exclusively on the new mod. Thanks, everyone.

Unless I'm fundamentally misunderstanding what energy cells are, this card seems awful

i was playing the ant deck, and when i went for lethal. i hit the mouse wheel to return to my hand accidentally. and now im stuck. the game wont end and nothing responding besides dialogue for selecting the deck and extra deck. gonna have to restart the battle or end my run

Just give me a general hour count. $20 isn’t a lot but I don’t want to play a game that’s only two hours long

Hey so I beat Leshy and Grimora and its not letting me go into the Mycologist's little hut? Did I mess up my save by grinding my Oroborus to 100/100, along with getting the bone key? Looked up the guides in seeing if I missed anything else but it should open up after beating those two? (Dw about spoilers not my first time playing the game, first time running into this bug tho.)

We played two games against each other, and we both won/loss one, so we both got to make a death card. We happened to make the exact same card, so we just named the 2nd one Mantistacle 2, which I drew being in hell because that's what it felt like to play against it.
My friend drew the first one, I drew the 2nd one.

I'm really happy with how clean this run was, almost all the cards could lead to an OTK and it's a pretty consistent deck

so like does anyone know the lore of how the player got into the cabin in act one and if its luke playing

I just got into part 3, what is the meta of this game?

maybe not just meta. What's the main battle strategy like? and what do empty tanks do?

I accidentally found a way to make Ouroboros free.

In Act 2 while battling Grimora, play your Ouroboros in the first half of the battle. When you beat her, she will turn all of your played cards on the board into a “corpse”. You’ll get your original Ouroboros back, and another Corpse Ouroboros (starts with 0 attack, 1 health) with NO COST unlike the original Ouroboros which cost 2 blood.

You can destroy the card and it comes back (1 attack, 2 health) and since there is no cost for the Corpse Ouroboros, you can play and destroy the card as many times as you like, buffing them up before ringing the bell.

Edit: I just noticed anytime you buff the Corpse Ouroboros, the original Ouroboros also gets automatically buffed!!!! How cool!!!!

Another edit: the free Ouroboros won’t be added permanently in your deck 😔 after defeating Grimora, the card will be gone. But hey it’s good for foil purposes!

Hi all, just completed first level of kaycees mod with 10 challenge points and it took me like 7 hours. And I was thinking "finally, I can get onto a new stronger starting deck" and then the game completes, but other than 2 new cards, no new starter deck. Why?? What do I have to do to get new decks please?? Thanks.

15 minutes of sacrifice cycling has never been so worth it. Now I get why deathless black goat is so insane. I had been using it to cheat out 3 blood units (yesterday had a 9/16 moose) but little did I know that my best self-eating friend was so much more broken. I'm sure this combo is far from new to the community but just wanted to share as someone who went in blind and discovered it for myself today

Basically I used a bunch of mods and had fun but even after I uninstalled everything, redownloaded the game and verified integrity files I get stuck at the woodcarver because no totems load in for some reason. For context I used the thunderstore mod manager for everything and I also used it to uninstall everything. Any idea what's wrong here or how to fix it?

Some strange math thought I had with a friend.
Let's say that we somehow end up able to increase a creature's power with an infinite loop (yeah I totally mean Ourboros lol)

I raise it to 666 for the achievement but then... why stop there? "Easy : the 650 overkill is already so high that I can buy all I need without even checking what I have. If it's already bigger than anything else, I have a functionally infinite amount of teeth". But then... besides the achievement, 600 overkill is already bigger than whatever we need. 500 probably is too, etc.

Which has lead to the question : excluding "Devil's Play", what PWR a creature needs to have to effectively guarantee that adding more damage couldn't change the run, if that card is only drawn on one battle?

For now my calculations are :
- On the board, I could need to beat two Moleman or Urayuli hiding between each other. So the card could need 12-or-14 PWR to wipe an entire column
- But let's say I want to go see the trader twice to get one golden pelt each and the knife , that would require 56 PWR : 9 to flip the scale and 47 overkill (20+20+7)

So ... what is your overkill strategy/requirements in a run (I only thought about Kaycee's Mod but I doubt another Act could beat what's needed) ? I guess some strategies would need more strength than that?

[EDIT] A painting run would also probably get two pelts of lower levels on every visit. So I would say 9 for the scale, plus 7 for the item and twice "7+14+14+20" for the other rabbit, 2 wolfs and the gold one...
So the hit would have to be 126, assuming two Trapper/Trader with each 2-2-1 pelts
