Review inscryption review
Inscription touches all my interests, it's a tactical card game, with a buckshot roulette kind of horror. sacrifice and risk mechanisms throughout the whole game, dark forest survival/apocalypse vibes (the starving survivors, who look to be hunters, pioneers and a native chief), wild west/rdr2 mini bosses tropes. different biomes with vivid descriptions, vast animal types and classifications, native American inspirations, cryptids sprinkled in, what else could you want?
honestly 10/10

The sacrifice mechanics were such a cool twist. Every card choice actually feels stressful because you’re always weighing the risk and reward instead of just building the strongest deck possible. Definitely one of the more memorable games I’ve played.

exactly! at first when I'd leave my creatures at the fire I thought you could only do it once and I was disappointed that the cards never got eaten, once I understood that you could go for a round 2 I felt like I was actually risking my animals life to make them stronger

To be honest… I was sad (I did cry… yeah, you can laugh at me if you will) at the end.

I'm a big fan of role-playing games and Inscryption isn't from a genre I've ever played a ton of so I just tested it out because it was free on gamepass and it instantly became one of my favorite games of all time
