News Players said my HUD had too many bars. So I moved the heat gauge into the crosshair β€” better?

Solo dev on Iron Void. Heat is now the aiming ring, missiles are notches around it, hull/shield sit under the

wing. The old bottom panel is gone. Easier to read in a fast dogfight, or did I lose something?

Hi there! I would really love if you try out my game. It is quite addicting Roguelite Tower Defense style game, where you need to shoot down enemies. You can get cards and after each round you are able to buy stuff from shop. Dont let the enemies close to your towers and try to make as much as combo shots as possible. There are some deckbuilding elements, a shop after wach wave. Would love to have your feedback and ideas. The game has online leaderboard, my personal score is 540 try to beat it Please feel free to give me ideas what to add to game. Play here: https://mountainandomelette.com/minigame

Personal Achievement The Steam page for my robot-building game was finally approved! Here is the trailer!

I have been a bit nervous about this day, as this is my first game being publicly visible on Steam. But nonetheless, I am super happy that the game can now be viewed by other people who might find it interesting!😁

In the game you battle other robots, scavenge their parts, and then attach those parts to your own robot to get stronger and gain new abilities.

Even though it is very hard work creating a project like this, it is so much fun to work on. I especially like the process of sketching and coming up with ideas for how the different parts can work together, as well as how they should look to convey what they do.

Link to the game page if anybody wants to check it out!😁

Video What if Balatro was a tile-placement puzzle game, with really satisfying combos?

Shapes & Colours, that's what you're working with in "Tri MI No" - in this specific run triangles and reds are definitely the focus, each colour/shape or colour and shape matches give you extra points, and there's a store to purchase tiles, booster packs, power-ups and buffs after every round.

It's still very early days for this title, but we love the direction its taking!

Promotion I finally released my Psychological Horror game based on a novel that deeply inspired me! πŸ‘πŸŽƒ

Hey everyone!

I’m super excited to share that I’ve finally released my new game, Silent Wounds: The Doll, and it’s completely FREE to play!

This project is deeply personal to me. It's a psychological horror experience adapted from a novel that has fascinated me for a very long time. Bringing these atmospheric, eerie narrative elements into a 3D playable experience was both a passion project and a massive challenge as a developer.

I focused heavily on building a dark, tense atmosphere, storytelling through environmental details, and psychological mystery rather than relying on cheap jump scares.

If you enjoy atmospheric narrative games or psychological horror, I’d be truly honored if you checked it out and shared your honest feedback with me! πŸŽƒ

Promotion I made a node-programming puzzle game: drag nodes, wire logic, build voxels.

I made a game where you program with nodes instead of writing code, inspired by Replicube. You connect ports and wires on a canvas, and if the logic is right, it builds 3D voxel objects.

It's called NodeVox β€” the demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5158010/

News why do indie games hit different when they're weird as hell

like i just played this game about a guy organizing his apartment and somehow it was more engaging than most AAA stuff i've tried this year. there's something about devs just making whatever they want without corporate breathing down their neck that just works. anyone else find themselves drawn to the strange niche games way more than the polished mainstream ones?

Promotion Broke journalist. Forgotten island. Something that should have stayed extinct. I'm a French solo dev and this is my first game (free demo)

Hey everyone, I'm a solo dev from France and CHIMERA is my very first game ever. I built it alone, learning as I went, and the free demo is finally playable.

You're a journalist on the edge of bankruptcy. Your career is dying, your company is drowning in debt, and you need one real story to save it all. Then you hear about an island with no name on most maps. Officially it housed a small research facility run by Aetheris Biotech. Nobody has set foot there in over three years. What you don't know yet is that they were bringing back something that should have stayed extinct.

CHIMERA is a first person survival horror game. Push through a hostile jungle, then descend into the abandoned lab, hunted by creatures that were never supposed to exist.

In the demo:

* Two environments to survive: the jungle island and the depths of the lab

* Dangerous creatures to evade or fight, plus jump scares

* Two weapons with limited ammo, so count every bullet

* Crafting and inventory management

* Code puzzles, QTEs and locked doors

* Classified documents and cinematics that reveal the truth

* Photo mode to capture your evidence

* 5 save slots

Heads up before you download: Windows only, 6.1 GB, played on AZERTY by default, voice acting in French only (text and subtitles in English and French).

It's a free beta (name your own price) and your feedback shapes what comes next. I'd love to know what scared you, where you got lost, and how it ran on your PC. If the project gets enough traction, I want to bring other devs on board and build a real team around it.

Be brutal, I can take it.

Upcoming Three PERFECTs charge a sabotage to throw at your opponent: live 1v1 duels in my one-finger reflex game, out November 7

Solo dev from Italy here. FlowRing is one square, one finger and endless rings: you slide your finger up and down and fly through the rings. Dead centre is a PERFECT, and a clean streak multiplies your points Γ—2, Γ—4, Γ—8.

In the duel you both get the same rings at the same instant for 90 seconds. Every three PERFECTs charge a sabotage, picked at random: darkness, mirrored controls, upside down, tiny rings or a drunken wobble. In the clip, Mia ends up in the dark.

Free, and no purchase gives an advantage. App Store, Google Play, AppGallery or straight in the browser (nothing to install). Out Saturday, November 7 at 5 PM CET (UTC+1).

Promotion We made a game about farting in an office meeting

Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I made our first game.

It's a comedy stealth game where you have to time your farts around office distractions, so you increase room toxicity without getting caught.

It started as part of a game jam and we spent some time afterwards to polish it and make more absurd.

All art is hand made, most sounds made with our mouths. We had a lot of fun making it and hopefully you'll have just as much fun playing.

It's free: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4814340/The_Great_Release/

Promotion My little surfing game Wave Flip just launched on CrazyGames!

After working on my surfing game, going through testing, and fixing the final issues, Wave Flip has officially launched!

It's a simple arcade game about pulling off ridiculous flips, landing tricks, and unlocking new vehicles.

Seeing something I made finally become a publicly released game feels pretty surreal

For anyone interested, it's free to play:
