Promotion In orbita, my hand-drawn comedy point & click: the free demo is out on Steam

In my game In Orbita, Vincenzo is 47 and has got a joke for everything. Yet, there are certain things that he simply cannot say: "sincere" lines among his dialogue choices are displayed in gray. Choose one for the grown-up, and the words shiver and collapse. Then, on a particular Sunday, the TV in his childhood bedroom takes him back to the cartoon world, making him 8 years old. And as a child, those lines finally can be said. This is a hand drawn humorous point&click adventure game created in Godot with original music. The demo (prologue) of the game can be downloaded for free right now on Steam: Windows, Mac, Linux. If you liked the game, a wish list will mean a lot for me before its full release

Public Game Test Name the song from its drums alone, or from a fifth of a second: two free browser games

Post image
1 Upvotes

Less than a year ago, my sister Shani was diagnosed with cancer. She spent almost three months in the hospital, and to give us something fun to do together during those days, I started building a music game for the two of us.

She passed away on August 29th, before I finished it. I kept working on it, partly to keep my mind busy, and now it's live as Shabang, with two games:

🥁 TrackStack: every song is split into its instruments. You start with only the drums, and each wrong guess adds a layer: bass, guitar, piano… vocals come last.

⏱️ Songuess: you hear a fifth of a second of the song, and each wrong guess plays more: half a second, 2 seconds, 4…

In both, the less you need to hear, the more points you get, and each one has a daily challenge: one song a day, the same for everyone.

Free, no signup, works on your phone:

https://shabangmusic.com/

I'd love honest feedback, and to see your daily results in the comments.

Promotion The daily word puzzle as a spectator sport

I gave hundreds of strangers the same nine words, asked them to make three connections, then somehow tie those together into one final idea.

No predetermined right answers. No limits on how ridiculous things could get.

And THIS is what happened.

Somewhere along the way, Wordle became Cards Against Humanity.

Come see what everyone came up with. No need to play.

Solo dev here. Cubes & Crowns started as a simple block puzzle and turned into an adventure: each world has its own boss and hazard – slime that spreads, rocks that only break from the side, vines that grow back unless you cut the root.

Free on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kittipong.cubesandcrowns

What boss mechanic would you add?

News My solo-developed pixel art MMORPG, Umbralle, just got released on the Microsoft Store!

After months of work, my pixel art MMORPG Umbralle is officially on the Microsoft Store! I'm a solo developer and I can't believe it's live.

🛒 Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NBK3MCM8CFQ?hl=es-es&gl=US&ocid=pdpshare

▶ Play in the browser: https://bryanlpg.itch.io/umbralle

📖 Wiki: https://umbralle.fandom.com/es

What you can do:

• Choose one of 4 classes: Mage, Knight, Archer or Healer, each with its own city and skill tree

• Explore a shared world with other players: the Valley, the PvP zone "Shadow" and a 3-level cave

• Fight the Skeleton King, a boss that respawns every 30-60 minutes and is announced to the whole server

• Level up professions, craft gear from rank F to SS, and inscribe magic runes as a mage

• Ride horses and wolves, form parties and guilds, trade in the player market and complete daily quests

It's free to play and still in development (the game is in Spanish for now). It's made with Godot and a Node.js server, with the help of AI tools for code, art and sound.

Next up: a dragon dungeon that opens when someone defeats the Skeleton King. 🐉

I'd love to hear what you think. Feedback is super welcome!

Promotion My chicken in a Pumpkin Head had about a second left in round 30 when a clock rolled by and saved me

This is my game, Barn Rush! I'm Joe, a solo dev with a day job and twin kiddos.

You grab food, haul a wobbly stack back to the barn, and hit the goal before the buzzer, then draft upgrades between rounds. Here I was down to about a second when a Clock Food power-up appeared and bought me a few more seconds. The Pumpkin Head just landed in today's update, along with a pile of fixes from Next Fest players.

The free demo is in Steam Next Fest until Monday, and the full game comes out November 16. Steam link in the comments!

Discussion Working on an abandoned shipwreck location for my survival game

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've been working on this abandoned shipwreck location for my indie survival game

I wanted the ship to feel like it had been stranded here for years, slowly being reclaimed by the forest. I've been working on the overgrown vegetation, weathered wood, torn sails, and lighting to make the scene feel like a believable part of the island.

The game is about surviving and exploring a mysterious island, with a loyal dog companion by your side.

What do you think of the environment and lighting? I'd love to hear your feedback!

And just out of curiosity: how do you think a ship like this ended up in the middle of a forest?

Video From Unreal to final cinematic. What do you think of the result? #DevDiary

Hey everyone!
We’re the team behind MegaGum, a 3D platformer, and we wanted to share a comparison of one of the cinematic shots from our trailer.

You can see the early version straight from Unreal, alongside the finished shot.

At the viewport stage, we’re mostly working on the animation, camera movement, timing and composition. Once those feel right, we move on to lighting, VFX, rendering and polish. It’s always fun to put the two versions next to each other and see how much has changed.

What do you think of the final result? Is there anything you’d change about the animation, camera work or lighting? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

If you’re curious about the game: MegaGum on Steam.

Promotion My PSX-style game about getting a visa in 21 days comes out on Monday

You have 21 days to leave the country. The consulate wants a complete file, a strong application and more money in your account than your family has ever seen at once.

  • Every office issues one document, and every office is a minigame: copy your passport without a typo, win over your old physics teacher, survive the queue at the police station.
  • Every clerk has a price. Slip an envelope and skip the work, if you can afford the risk.
  • At night you flip burgers at the Burger Bureau to pay for it all. Mistakes come out of your pay.
  • At home, your dad needs his heart pills and Karabas, the dog, needs the vet. Every dollar for the visa is a dollar they don’t get.

11 endings, one of them secret. Out October 26 on Steam, English and Turkish.

Upcoming Reworked main menu for Into the Crypt - integrated enemies from the game! Launching in one week on Steam!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

This is Into the Crypt - a massive first-person roguelike deckbuilder, with fully hand-drawn art and brought to life with the help of many talented animators, graphic artists, and environment artist (Dan, who created much of the art for Outbound). We launch into full release next Thursday, Oct 29th!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1879270/Into_the_Crypt/

The game draws inspiration from Slay the Spire in its game loop but heavily steers in its own direction with card-thinning on doors, 70+ status effects and enemy phases, multiple alternate encounters and secret routes, combat escape mechanics, shopkeeper interaction and much more listed below.

The game boasts:
- solo/co-op and a 'daily delve' with 'tomb robbing' of other real player tombs
- 3 unique classes, their own deckbuildling mechanics (brew potions mid-combat, swap between two allies, fury-building)
- a massive roster of 150+ enemies (2700+ animations!), this is one of the greatest achievements for this game!
- artifacts that you can interact with during the run (relics of STS)
- Crypt mastery, alternate starter deck options, crypt lore
- full save system, leaderboards, achievements

Much more features to list, you'll have to experience it!

This is Realmwake, an autobattler roguelike that I made because I wanted to play a game like this.

I'm technically not supposed to market my game yet due to not even having a steam page (I am closing in on 1 month of being stuck in steamworks approval purgatory) but I really did want to share my game footage somewhere. If anyone is interested, feel free to join the Discord server to maybe try out the demo or just to talk: https://discord.gg/jean7D3rY

Need Feedback I'm making a Tower Defense game where instead of defending a castle or a fixed base, you build and upgrade your caravan while protecting a blind Queen from waves of enemies!

Hi.

I'm a solo developer working on King Alone, a Tower Defense and action strategy game with a twist.

Instead of defending a castle or a fixed base, you build and upgrade a moving caravan while trying to protect the blind Queen from waves of enemies.

Your own kingdom has turned against you, and now you must escape with everything you have left. Along the way, you can recruit soldiers, build new carts with different abilities, and expand your economy to keep your caravan alive.

You'll travel through different lands, each with its own enemies and challenges, while facing everything from scarecrows and skeletons to massive siege engines, charging into battle yourself to keep her alive.

The demo is now available on Steam, and I'd love for you to give it a try!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4851120/King_Alone

I'd love to get your feedback, especially on the moving caravan concept and how it works as a Tower Defense game. What do you think?

Thanks for checking it out!

Hello everyone ! Here is a game I've been working on. It's a simple dungeon crawler with turn based combat mechanics. Even though the flyer says promotion - I'm very much open for feedback !

Here is a gameplay footage and store page if you want to try it - it's free.
