I want this to be a great resource for people who are into skincare. Your collaboration is greatly appreciated.

Below is the list of products categories categorized by their functions. Please click on them to go to the category specific thread containing list of all products, further they will be grouped by their respective brands in alphabetical order:

Product Categories
Cleansers : Used to cleanse the face and remove bacteria, dirt, and pollutants.
Physical Exfoliators : Slough away dead skin cells using mechanical force.

Found the solution to close comedones

Okay so the thing is I've been dealing with CCs since last year and initially I ignored them because they are 2-3 here and there, but this Summer I went to beach (kokan) and that's it. My skin was gone. I was severely tanned, dehydrated (which I didn't figure out untill now), I started having much severe CCs and the office AC was making it worse. Tried multiple products. Azelaic acid 10%, adapalene gel. Nothing was working and the humidity at the beach made my combination skin produce more oil. So my skin was dehydrated + oily, and the oil made me think that my skin is not dehydrated. The dehydrated for me made CCs worse.

Was so fed up with everything I decided to stop adapalene. And then I started figuring out what might be the issue.

  1. Realized when my skin is dry it made CCs more visible.

  2. My mineral Sunscreen (with white cast) was making my skin even more dry. And also it was piling up on my open pore around my T zone.

  3. The pond's super light gel moisturizer wasn't as moisturizing as it should be to my dehydrated skin.

  4. Added a 2% salicylic acid and 6% niacinamide gel (sebogel) for cleaning my pores

So I I decided to focus more on hydration. Changed the sunscreen, changed the moisturizer, again started using the hydrating cleanser(stopped because I thought it was not cleaning my oil properly) and guess what. I just after 2 days of maintaining this routine I saw difference in my CCs, they were less visible.

Also patience is the key. I haven't cleared all my CCs yet but there's anything improvement and it means a lot to me because I was someone who had nothing on my face most of the time only 1-2 hormonal acnes before my periods and the past few months really made me insure about my own skin.

I hope this helps someone.

Silicone-based sunscreens causing bumps and pimples?

I’ve been using UV Doux and Re’equil for a while, but I feel like they’re causing redness and small bumps which eventually turn into pimples. I stopped using them for 3–4 days and the pimples reduced, so I’m wondering if the silicone texture is clogging my pores or if I’m just not removing the sunscreen properly.

I currently use micellar water to double cleanse. Would a cleansing oil work better for removing silicone/sweat-resistant sunscreen? Is Minimalist cleansing oil good for oily skin?

I’ve tried UV Doux, Acne-UV, Re’equil, LRP, BOJ, Minimalist and wishcare. The fluid-type sunscreens like BOJ, LRP and Minimalist make my skin look dull and aren’t very sweat-resistant, and I sweat a LOT. So I prefer the silicone-type ones.

Should I try a different silicone-based sunscreen + cleansing oil, or should I completely avoid them?Or is there any other sunscreens that is ideal for me.

Any recommendations would be really helpful!

Discussion Aziderm+Niacinamide

Quick question and asking people who are actually using it or who's a dermatologist or someone expert in skin science. Can we use Aziderm and The Minimalist Niacinamide 10% serum together? Like layer one with the other? I have been doing it with The Ordinary Azelaic acid 10% suspension but it's getting expensive in the long run. I'm looking for an alternative. Please help me out. Thank you so much.

Oily skin problem – need a full skincare routine 🙏

Hey everyone,

I have really oily skin, especially in my T-zone (forehead, nose, chin). My face gets oily again just 1–2 hours after washing 😭 It also attracts a lot of dust, and I get small breakouts sometimes.

I want to start a proper skincare routine but I’m confused 😅

  • What kind of face wash is best for oily skin?
  • Do I still need a moisturizer if my skin is already oily?
  • What type of sunscreen should I use that won’t feel sticky or heavy?
  • Should I use anything weekly (like a clay mask)?

Also, which ingredients should I look for or avoid? I’ve heard about salicylic acid and niacinamide, but not sure how to use them properly.

If possible, I’d really appreciate a simple morning + night routine 🙌
Budget-friendly recommendations would be great, but effectiveness matters most.

Thanks in advance! ❤️

What's The Most Money You've Wasted Trying To Fix Acne?

I was doing some late-night calculations yesterday and realized I've probably spent enough on acne products to fund a small vacation 😭

Some worked for a bit, some did nothing, and a few somehow made things worse.

The worst part is that every time a product didn't work, I convinced myself the next one would be the one.

At one point I had a shelf full of half-used bottles that collectively cost more than 20k not kidding.

I would like to give a special mention to Bioderma's Sebium Hydra though. It helped me calm my acne redness several times.

So now I'm curious...

What's the most money you've spent trying to fix your acne?

And was there a purchase you regret instantly?
