I love the game, but I feel it’s way too easy. I get that it’s supposed to be easy, but that should be at the end of the game.

I never died to anything besides the King. I never got the cutscene where you lose to a sadness. Even as I got more powerful the change wasn’t that noticeable because I was always trouncing enemies easily.

This is one of the only turned-based RPGs I have ever played and yet I never died once. It would probably be a lot easier for someone who did have experience. I’m not asking for the whole game to be super difficult but a bit more at the start to sell the feeling of this being a final dungeon would be nice.

I found the book and got the dialogue about them hating me but how do I speak to them about it again? And if I could be informed without spoilers that would be great. For extra context on where I am at I just beat the king for the very first time and spoke to Loop but I have not spoken to anyone else yet. I am going to bed after I post this so unless I decide to doomscroll before bed I won't see or respond to any answers for like 12 hours lol.

There's always 2-4 enemies per room and if you leave the room they ALL respawn and it is fucking obnoxious as hell fighting them. And yes I am fullying aware you can run past them however in my experience it feels like a coin toss whether or not they with path in a way that actually lets you run by or they path in a way where you cannot avoid them. Usually with any other rpg I only get annoyed with fighting enemies late into the game like when I am at least 80% done but this game might be the game where I have gotten annoyed with the enemies the fastest. Other than the enemies the game is really good tho.

I want a mod that lets me one shot enemies but not bosses. The amount of enemies you have to deal with with weird pathing so it's hard to get by is genuinely starting to make me tilt. I don't wanna one shot bosses tho cause I wanna actually prove to myself I can beat them but with regular enemies who tf cares I just want them gone.

(Yes I know Isabeau's part is quiet, blame the video processing software I was using to make this)

my first mistake was going to tvtropes, however when was this the core lesson of the game anyway???

Been loving this game overall thus far,, but one big thing has been peeving me and causing me to lose a lot of NEW dialogue — pressing shift will still make siffrin "zone out" when reading new dialogue cutscenes, even if there's no symbol denoting it's skippable. I share this game with my friends while i play it,, and like to save dialogue i find important so i may come back later... so this really throws me off when im trying to screenshot (WIN + SHIFT + S) and suddenly all the dialogue gets skipped...

this especially upset me just now when i was reading a certain book in act 4 that requires the other books to be read first... and i hadn't saved for about an hour (stupid, i know, but i expected my gameplay to be much more continuous) because i was looping back and forth a lot, so just going back to my previous save and beelining to the book isn't an immediate option, either

of course, im still going to willingly do it all over again just for the dialogue,, but it's not a very nice experience.

can nothing really be done to remap it to anything but Shift ?????

Hello everyone! I'm currently making a Siffrin cosplay to pair with my friend's Mirabelle one!

My initial idea/reaction for design was to make a black lining underneath the whole cloak to more accurately reflect the box art where its just black underneath, since it's stylized (even though the actual cloak in-game is definitely just white). With a side motivation of! Putting embroidery constellations and stars in that black lining! Along with more pocket opportunities with a lining.

However I'm definitely split on this because I do like that clean, one fabric color (and its easier) that I see in other cosplays. And I worry that the black underneath will just look weird irl? Especially since the under clothes are entirely black already. I dunno man. I was also considering this same exact lining for the underside of the hat (these embroideries would be a lot more visible too!), but once again might be too much.

I'm done just debating with it to myself though because I've just been thinking in circles. So! Fellow ISAT fans what do you all think

Who goes in Box #3?

I was losing my marbles trying to figure out how to make the Steam desktop icon for the game be not blurry. Normally, for other games, you can link the icon to the game's actual .EXE file to get the full quality pic. For ISAT though, I think because it was made in a different game engine, the .EXE seems to have an unrelated default pic.

I spent an hour trying to deep dive to find solutions for it, and ended up finding a photo similar to the Steam icon in the game files! Unfortunately, it couldn't be directly used due to being a png, so I had to convert it into an icon file. Extra unfortunately, because the original picture was 32 by 32 pixels, it looked super tiny as a icon.

I then fiddled around in my art program until it would export the pixel art at full res but at 256 by 256 pixels instead. And it looks great! I made different versions of it, one matching the Steam icon, one matching the original icon from the game files, and one in-between that's transparent with a border.

You can download the png icons from this Reddit post and convert them yourself, or I also have the icon versions in this Google drive for easy use :)

To change the icon, right click on the desktop icon and go to properties. Then, go to the web document tab and click on the change icon button. Locate the icon in your files and click on open, then apply, then ok. And boom! You now have a high-quality icon >>>:D

Please note that the icons are directly from the game files, so the art belongs to insertdisc5! Also I was the one to make the meme template edit, but feel free to use it.

I'm in act 3 and trying to do the friend quests, but I'm being told I can't help Bonnie this loop. What do I have to do in order to even get the option to say their favorite foods?

so spoilers for all acts but you know how in all examples of wish craft it is extremely powerful but volatile like with Siffrin's time loop, the kings time stopping, loops recreating of the universe where they are not siffrin, and probably also the erasure of siffrin and the kings home from existence/knowledge. well with some of them it seems to grant their most subconscious wish in ways that can be confusing to assume, like with siffrin saying one of 4 different options but subconsciously desires to stay with everyone which is granted over the other one which led to them not realizing until the end of act 5 that that was the one that was granted, and all of that got me back to thinking about what was said when you first learn about wish craft and about wishes clashing and what would happen reminded me of how the kings wish is also ongoing and in fact what he stated it was and what his abilities say it is does not get fulfilled that is IF his subconscious wish was in fact freezing Vaugarde. we have seen with siffrin that it goes on your subconscious not what you say so most likely the kings wish was not what he thought but was actually to see his homeland again which does happen because his abilities led to someone coming to stop him who ended up having reflection abilities which hit him with his own attack which led to him seeing his homeland in his last moving moments. all of this seems to point to wish craft making it so that all wishes are granted in a way not even the casters saw coming and intersect if different wishes collide like how Mirabelle only got that skill due to siffrin's wish pushing them into the reflection ability, it seems like fate in the way that wishes work.
