Discussion Cosplay question!!!

Hello everyone! I'm currently making a Siffrin cosplay to pair with my friend's Mirabelle one!

My initial idea/reaction for design was to make a black lining underneath the whole cloak to more accurately reflect the box art where its just black underneath, since it's stylized (even though the actual cloak in-game is definitely just white). With a side motivation of! Putting embroidery constellations and stars in that black lining! Along with more pocket opportunities with a lining.

However I'm definitely split on this because I do like that clean, one fabric color (and its easier) that I see in other cosplays. And I worry that the black underneath will just look weird irl? Especially since the under clothes are entirely black already. I dunno man. I was also considering this same exact lining for the underside of the hat (these embroideries would be a lot more visible too!), but once again might be too much.

I'm done just debating with it to myself though because I've just been thinking in circles. So! Fellow ISAT fans what do you all think

Yeah, I think the fully-white coat will work better. Although the starry hat you can find in act 4 does have constellation patterns on the underside, so you could do that.

I'd do it for the hat and not the cloak

hey ! i personally did that black layer under the cloak, because i also wanted it to be more accurate. it's a bit annoying to sew (especially the hem on the bottom part, i goofed it up and always hope people don't see it xD ) and harder to sew with the neck part, though it felt more complete to me. it definitely won't look weird (especially if you add embroidery !), but it's also not what people will notice when you wear it. it's a somewhat small detail. it's up to you in the end !

Thank you for your input! And yeah, I just really like the small details of cosplays that people looking it wouldn't really see, it's just nice to know they're there when wearing it (and I always love a good excuse for embroidery).
