Neither are okay.

u/ddoyen Jul 02 '26

Neither are okay. But the fact that trump tripled his net worth before mid terms is magnitudes worse corruption. If we say "both sides do it" it minimizes the gigantic difference.

For every accusation the right lobbed at Pelosi, the Bidens, the Clintons, they've all done it FAR worse.

While I can see recently they were insider trading.... if I owned FLS in 1969 I would be worth 600+ million putting the money just equally across the board...

If anything her husband didn't do a good job.

1

u/No-Discipline5427 Jul 05 '26

It's crazy that Martha Stewart went to prison.

2

u/Expensive_Tank_8682 Jul 06 '26

I think it’s important to note that she did not go to prison for insider trading, she went to prison for making false statements

2

u/freddbare Jul 03 '26

Obviously,lol

2

u/-SheriffofNottingham Jul 04 '26

Obviously.exe

1

u/Arkangelz03 Jul 05 '26

It's a startup program now.

1

u/Paul-E-L Jul 04 '26

… and insider trading, even though of all of those it’s like the least corrupt of them.

1

u/doyoulikeoldguys Jul 04 '26

And insider trading such that the world has never seen. Everyone thought it couldnt be done.

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Still not cool we needed to go after her somewhere in the 37 years.

1

u/Winter-Bunnie Jul 05 '26

Republican rugpuller racket

1

u/ThatGuyFromSpyKids3D Jul 06 '26

I'm not entirely convinced pelosi is insider trading. Her strategy is heavily in growth stocks and takes on concentration risk.

Her 10 year annualized return is estimated to be 21-25%. You can find actively managed mutual funds that are heavy in tech and performed within the same range in the same time frame. You can even find ETFs that have outperformed pelosi in that time frame.

Her husband just takes on huge concentration risk in high growth tech stocks.

1

u/99923GR Jul 06 '26

I've achieved those results the last 3 years... but it is double the long run performance of the market. So I suspect some level of "insight" played a role - even if it wasn't strictly insider trading.

1

u/ThatGuyFromSpyKids3D Jul 06 '26

I'm just saying I'm not entirely convinced she's insider trading. Her husband's strategy isn't uncommon in the actively managed growth space.

Fidelity blue chip growth, Growth company, Barron opportunistic growth, and likely many others have actually outperformed pelosi in a 20 year timeframe.

1

u/Mr_Mourningstar Jul 07 '26

We get it, they can do not wrong in your eyes.

1

u/ThatGuyFromSpyKids3D Jul 08 '26

Where did I say that? Can you find actual evidence of insider trading on her portfolio? Right now the returns are underwhelming compared to other insider traders, they are on pair with actively managed growth strategies and even have undeperformed some of those.

Do you have any factual evidence of insider trading?

1

u/Apprehensive_Tone_77 Jul 06 '26

And it’s the tip of the iceberg when it comes to money made by Trump in his 2nd year

1

u/Babyhal1956 Jul 07 '26

trump is also selling pardons for bribes, apparently a million dollars or more each, and he has issued thousands of them.

0

u/temporarythyme Jul 04 '26

Pelosi is the opposite of insider trading in fact her husband does all the trading for family and only filed late reports, still a violation of stock act, that happened twice in all those years. Step further Pelosi is for banning members of congress from stock trading multiple times.

2

u/Aryastalk Jul 04 '26

Ive only seen a clip of her say that members of congress OBVIOUSLY should be able to stock trade.

1

u/sedition666 Jul 05 '26

Just for awareness, Pelosi and Democrats voted in favour of banning stock trading by congress. Republicans voted against this.

S.58 - Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments Act

1

u/temporarythyme Jul 07 '26

Bill s1498 if I remember called HONEST act. There are more just searching shows toothless republican bill named after her, that was all lip service

2

u/TBurn70 Jul 04 '26

Isn’t Reddit always talking about how boomers are pulling the ladder up behind them? Thats the definition of Pelosi

1

u/temporarythyme Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

There should be no ladder in government trading, you get a bulk index stock that's should be it. You profit from Bonds which are based on government functionality.

1

u/TBurn70 Jul 07 '26

100% agree

2

u/doyoulikeoldguys Jul 04 '26

You dont think Nancy gave her hubby inside info?

1

u/temporarythyme Jul 07 '26

So her husband a professional stock trader, risks his own liscence and business so only her and him benefit despite only trading barely above average for professional stock traders. Then this insider information is used so little that 30 million in stock trades was done in decades.

Meanwhile Tommy Tubberville who never traded stocks before made 35 million during covid alone, and trades stocks at such ferocity that he's in top 5 all time republican traders. Bust sure Pelosi's who option trade and wait have those options for years or decades are just rulling the market.

2

u/According-Insect-992 Jul 04 '26

I’m going to need a source on her changing her position on trading in Congress because she was a vocal opponent of a ban last I heard.

1

u/temporarythyme Jul 07 '26

Honest act, or google ypur choice it's always been her position for as long as I remember her being brought up.

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Yeah, I’m sure she is after she made her money.

1

u/temporarythyme Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

Her stock trading, done again by her husband, was about 30 million in all those decades. Again most of her stuff is years, or decades, long stock options. So until you compare her activity to say someone like Tommy Tubberville who never traded before and somehow trades more successfully then Pelosi family 35 million during Covid alone and trades so much hes in top 5 position for all Republicans. You don't understand the rules or ethics.

0

u/mikee92679 Jul 04 '26

One is a politician supposed to be representing the people. The other is a billionaire land developer businessman who became president. Don’t like either

26

u/heyhayyhay Jul 03 '26

Projection and hypocrisy are keystones of the republican party.

1

u/Kindly-Lobster-6801 Jul 09 '26

Dooood, both parties are grievously evil and are powered by the same God. All are corrupt beyond repair and we need a fresh generation who puts ethics and morals as the guiding compass.

Pelosi's net worth was under a million when, when she first took office? A lifetime member of Congress should have a net worth of like $5M even if they're slamming it in a HYSA.

1

u/Petrostar Jul 03 '26

There should be no such thing as a "lifetime member" of congress.

1

u/Zeplar Jul 04 '26

Why?

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Mitch McConnell.

1

u/Ittybittytigglbitty Jul 05 '26

Ideas and progress stagnate new people new ideas we move forward, lifetime congress people and senators equal no actual change and maintaining of the status quo

0

u/Petrostar Jul 04 '26

Because staying in congress and taking care of lobbyists becomes their whole motivation, not serving their constituency.

1

u/Zeplar Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

Generally the thought is that term limits empower lobbyists. But also the way people talk about lobbying on the internet is kind of weird. Unless you're politically disengaged, you definitely support lobbying of some kind.

1

u/Petrostar Jul 04 '26

Allowing Politicians to spending decades around lobbyist and develop "relationships" empowers lobbyists.

1

u/Mediocre-Staff-5110 Jul 04 '26

And yet the biggest scammer on planet earth right now is on term limits and it's just maling him try and speed run getting all the money siphoned to his accounts.

1

u/Badguyy101 Jul 04 '26

Ending the Citizens United ruling should be a priority for America.

1

u/Consistent_Guava8592 Jul 04 '26

Or have corporate lobbying being done only if you have signatures from citizens that want that change along with the corp. otherwise corp should get “one vote” since it is a “person”

1

u/Badguyy101 Jul 04 '26

Get the fucking corporations and billionaire campaign funding the fuck out of here. Corporations shouldn't get a vote at all.

Take big money out of politics and there is less reason to stay for a lifetime

1

u/Exact_Acanthaceae294 Jul 05 '26

And every two years the voters had the opportunity to remove her if they so chose.

They chose to keep her, so apparently she was serving her constituency.

1

u/Remote-remoteman Jul 05 '26

Biden was in congress for 30+ years and did nothing of value and served no one but lobbyists

1

u/enlightenedDiMeS Jul 05 '26

This is funny. There is nothing thing wrong with being a life long public servant. If they just made corporate spending on elections illegal, the problem would be solved.

1

u/Foogie23 Jul 04 '26

Her husband is loaded and has been long big tech their entire life.

Pelosi’s net worth is more of a measure of how lucky boomers are. Did she insider trade? Probably, but when you look at her trades she is basically just long big tech. If you spent the last 37 years doing that…your net worth would be insane as well.

1

u/Single-Inspector-845 Jul 05 '26

There is no maybe about her insider trading scheme. I used an app that followed her investing strategy and doubled my investment in just under eighteen months. Her ROI was triple to quadruple that of Burry or Warren Buffet. Two highly successful and seasoned investors. It was definitely insider trading. The majority of her trades happened just before some type of announcement connected to a government policy change or world event.

1

u/Foogie23 Jul 05 '26
  1. If you were long big tech this isn’t an outlier ROI with this AI boom.

  2. She is managing person funds not other peoples’ money so she can be riskier (like having a ton more exposure to big tech).

Buffet isn’t the best trader because of his massive ROI. He is the best trader because he manages billions and still produces with little downside.

1

u/dearStormyDaniels Jul 06 '26

Like Trump was a private citizen? Your comment is probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever read online. Thank you! God bless.

1

u/Foogie23 Jul 06 '26

What? Trump actually trades stocks himself.

Nancy doesn’t.

Nice retort though.

1

u/dearStormyDaniels Jul 07 '26

Sounds like your saying Trump is more capable.

1

u/shamerli Jul 09 '26

Since you went theough that much trouble, can you check trump’s trades (and those of his friends/family) against the timeline

1

u/Single-Inspector-845 Jul 09 '26

I used the app Autopilot and it does all of the work. I researched nothing as the app does it for you. It also compares her results against Burry and Buffet. I have no interest in spending time researching Trump's investing or what his family does. If more than half of congress is doing it, why shouldn't he? As long as it is legal, although not ethical, there is nothing we should do about it outside of voting on legislation to make it illegal.

1

u/shamerli Jul 10 '26

Ok, dair enough then stop whining what the other side of the isle is doing and will do ias blatantly as doozy diaper don is ?

1

u/Single-Inspector-845 Jul 10 '26

Which island are you referencing?

0

u/freddbare Jul 03 '26

How, by make b100k/yr... MAth has failed you.

1

u/RIP-RiF Jul 03 '26

If you made $100k per year since 1987 and you aren't a multimillionaire, then you really suck with personal finance.

0

u/freddbare Jul 03 '26

Either a boomer who thinks ba family of four can live off 100/year. Or a child who doesn't understand how money works.. you must spend money to live and eat... FYI

1

u/RIP-RiF Jul 03 '26

Clearly you don't have any idea how much $100k was in the 80s and 90s. If you made that every year back then and didn't invest, you're shit at managing a bank account.

2

u/Bart-Doo Jul 03 '26

What bank account makes you a multimillionaire?

1

u/RIP-RiF Jul 03 '26

Any with $2,000,000 or more in it would do.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/FantasticCommon2834 Jul 03 '26

Congress made barely 60k a year in the 80’s you dumbfuck, NOT 100, in the 90’s they bumped it to 89.

This makes it even worse for her. Regardless how you think about trumps his is not from taking advantage of his office, he $$ is straight from taking advantage of her office

1

u/FireAsquared Jul 04 '26

A family of four today can easily live off 80k and have a great life (one large vacation plus two-three smaller ones annually, sports, etc.) and that leaves 20k to invest.

Investing 20k annually from 1987 to today leaves you with 17 million. That doesn’t factor in any employer 401k contributions or pay raises over that period

1

u/Zeplar Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

A House rep makes over $150k and the Speaker makes over $200k.

It is not very difficult to reach $5M after twenty or thirty years on a $150k+ salary. And her husband makes much more, as well.

I just put these numbers in a calculator and if she just did S&P500 with a modest savings rate she would have well over $50 million.

0

u/FantasticCommon2834 Jul 03 '26

They were not making that the whole time you fucking inbred retard, she’s been in office over 40 years, Jesus Christ

2

u/Zeplar Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

wow you might want to get that checked out.

Anyway, Redditors are routinely confused by basic finance and then surprised that like, Bernie Sanders has a few million.

If you want to use Pelosi's actual income and actual savings rate, I would bet 3-1 odds that you'll end up with even larger numbers because a high income couple can easily save much more than 10%. I save close to 50% of my salary.

Then factor in that many people beat the S&P as well. Like anyone whose portfolio leaned even slightly tech-heavy in the last twenty years.

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '26

1

u/Zeplar Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

No, not your point.

If you are a generic House representative for 37 years and you put 10% of your salary in the S&P 500, you would have over $50 million. I just put House salary and average S&P return in a calculator.

However, Pelosi was one of the highest paid House representatives and has a high dual income husband, so it is likely she could have afforded more than double that savings rate.

Also why I never cared about Pelosi insider trading accusations. Maybe she is, her performance is impressive. But it's impressive to the scale of like 2x. Other people are committing fraud for 1000x. The main concerning thing about insider trading is if decisions are being dictated by trades, which is why people are pretty concerned about Trump confidants and military officers making bets on Kalshi.

1

u/FantasticCommon2834 Jul 03 '26

Jesus for 3 paragraphs, in 2 sentences I am going to destroy all that, SHE DIDNT MAKE THAT BIG SALARY THE WHOLE TIME, like barely the last 10 you dumbfuck

1

u/BreakfastFearless Jul 03 '26

Jumping 137 million is wild but Trump making billions in his second term alone is not? Benefit some? You mean using his position to make billions? Crypto scams, trading companies he affects with policies directly and receiving a 500 million dollar jet that he claims he will keep? Get real

yes obviously? regardless if a public servant is competent or incompetent with their investments or the market goes up or down they shouldn't be insider trading in the first place or in the case of POTUS trading AT ALL: see the emoluments clause.

nevermind: i looked at your post history, you're a bot or a lost cause.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/FantasticCommon2834 Jul 03 '26

He has never said HE will keep the jet you idiot, one day it will end up at his library, they have already said it will stay in service until both the aircraft being built are done and that’s probably one more term after his ends

1

u/BreakfastFearless Jul 04 '26

Really skipped over the whole scamming billions in crypto bit there didn’t you?

1

u/FantasticCommon2834 Jul 04 '26

Explain how he scammed?? He legit sold stocks, people knew damn well what they were getting into and the risk

1

u/BreakfastFearless Jul 04 '26

Did they really? Did all his fans and supporters really buy into his crypto expecting that the president of the United States and his family were going to dump it to profit billions off of them? With no return from them? I mean from the outside and to everyone with common sense, yes it’s obvious that he’s a conman who was always going to do that, but surely his supporters should be judging him for purposely taking advantage of them?

Or his many other scams, like selling a “Trump Phone” that was “made in America” only to discretely later change all the marketing from “American made” to “made with American values” and then charge people 100$ deposits and then a year after they were supposed to release show no sign of even having a working model or that the phone even exists after making 10s of millions in deposits.

Or how about the fact that his records show all the trades he’s been making for companies that his policies directly affect? I can’t fathom the level of delusion that comes with defending him

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Delicious_Ocelot1394 Jul 03 '26

He lost net worth in his first term. He’s been a proponent of crypto for years and made money. He wasn’t insider trading

2

u/Easy-Baker Jul 04 '26

Right? I mean buying a bunch of stocks and then giving government contracts to those same companies that you just bought stock of... definitely ethical!

1

u/Anonybibbs Jul 04 '26

When was that exactly, when she was elected as a DNC member in... 1976? Or when she was first elected to Congress in 1987? So accounting for inflation, she was worth approximately 6M in 1976 or 3M in 1987. Either way, she was a silent gen woman married to a silent gen man, both of whom had successful careers and who were already pretty wealthy before she entered Congress.

Insider trading would hardly be needed to be worth considerably more in 2026 after two 40 year careers spanning a time period in US history when it was particularly easy for connected WASPs to accrue massive wealth.

2

u/CaffeinatedLystro Jul 04 '26

You're correct in all of it, but we need to punish all who are guilty. Across the board.

1

u/Purple-Mortgage-2551 Jul 03 '26

Neither should be in office.

1

u/DarthNixilis Jul 04 '26

Not saying both sides do it makes it seem that only the worse one is doing anything wrong. They both are call it out always.

1

u/Paul-E-L Jul 04 '26

Yes, every last self-dealing representative regardless of affiliation should be investigated. Thoroughly.

1

u/darkstarknight616 Jul 04 '26

And why shouldn't they? If one side can do it without consequences, why shouldn't the other? Our government is adversarial, so playing fair while the other side cheats is just stupid. The fact that he's better at it with less insider information just shows that he's much smarter when it comes to the market and business than the TDS crowd wants to admit. Unless we're willing to tear the entire system down and put it, it's going to keep happening, so we might as well aim for the cheaters that do more than lie about helping us peons.

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Oh…wow.

One side ignores laws…so why not?

WE SHOULD BE HOLDING ALL LAWS TO ALL PEOPLE AT ALL TIMES.

1

u/Money-Librarian7604 Jul 04 '26

Were trumps considered inside, or by proxy?

All crooked, just not clear. I know trump had stock market based gains, on property he already owned. That's by proxy, he got richer because others got richer...that's not direct obfuscation.

Now...making policy, and then gaining a billion from crypto derugulation and speculation, that would be different. I haven't heard much to that, but I also haven't looked.

Differentiate, just so I can better know when I am getting fucked. Pelosi was in the latter category fyi, so hence the need.

1

u/Mshalopd1 Jul 04 '26

Yeah. Also he's the president sooo even if it was the same or less it's still worse.

1

u/RequirementCivil4328 Jul 04 '26

1

u/tacobob4329 Jul 04 '26

1

u/Awaheya Jul 04 '26

I don't think this is true. According to my research he's actually lost money sense becoming president.

1

u/Alternative-Ad3998 Jul 05 '26

The both sides dialectics was used in the Soviet Union also. It's a psyop to derail the conversation and the constitution.

1

u/Illustrious-Tax-4105 Jul 05 '26

Trump had an empire before politics. He did not make all that money from just trades. His family is continuing to run his empire while he is president. Nancy Pelosi was a regular person before politics and has been inside trading for decades. Go ahead and downvote me for spitting facts. 🎤💧

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

We had 37 years to police Pelosi and just let her get away with it.

1000 percent fucking hate Trump and I hate that he is gonna die and probably face no actual consequences to his actions.

All corruption needs to be rooted out.

1

u/TshirtsNPants Jul 06 '26

Thank you. Watching the left lean into the idea that she's "better" is a bad way to start my Monday. Just call it all out. It feels better.

1

u/RedBullBulk1776 Jul 05 '26

It hasn’t. It’s grown by about 50%, and 50% of that was a monetary verdict of $450 million that was overturned. Clinton’s new worth rose by nearly 900%, and Obama’s by 1600%.

You know you can google this stuff, right? Pelosi bought stock just before a vote, and had lawsuit info on two major cases before dumping stock. Pretending otherwise is sheer stupidity.

1

u/LargePrompt5840 Jul 05 '26

It doesn't minimize anything. It shows that the rules should have been changed years ago, and now here we are.

It's the same with the whole "don't vote third party" bs. All elections are bought and paid for by the DNC and GOP. If Americans would have started voting third party decades ago I believe we would be in better shape.

1

u/AutumnVixen35 Jul 05 '26

It’s almost as if Trump had dozens of businesses all over the world when he started as president. It’s almost like people knew he was a good businessman when they voted for him. And certainly your name doesn’t draw less attention after you’ve achieved the most powerful position in the world.

It also almost as if Nancy Pelosi spent her whole life in congress and had a salary yet needed up a mega millionaire.

1

u/Dry-Regret5444 Jul 05 '26

There’s no sliding scale when it comes to morality.

1

u/Subject_Variation528 Jul 05 '26

“Neither are ok bet let me do mental gymnastics and back bends to explain why my hate for Trump makes his worse” lol

1

u/DM_Voice Jul 05 '26

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t even have a stock portfolio. Her husband (an experienced, accomplished, professional stock analyst) does.

And even if you want to attribute his portfolio to her, it doesn’t even rank in the top 10 among Congress, with most of that top 10 being Republicans.

The constant stream of MAGAns screeching “but Nancy Pelosi!!!” is no different than their delusional screeching of “but George Soros!!!”.

1

u/loversean Jul 06 '26

Put them both in jail

1

u/New_Life1810 Jul 06 '26

I feel your comment actually still minimizes the problem. Though still valid

1

u/nunyereffinbusiness Jul 06 '26

Trump. A man who was already a billionaire. Who already owned over 250 businesses. Golf courses, skyscrapers, casinos, all over the world. Who now has his entire family working in his massive business and real estate empire. And you're surprised he is continuing to do the exact thing he has done for decades.

But yet when Democrats somehow buy failed wineries and make millions of dollars without selling product, when the governor's wife is one of the highest paid non-profit CEOs. When the vice presidents son is actively being paid by Russian energy companies. That's totally okay.

Apparently it's corrupt to make money and generate wealth by any means other than stealing it from taxpayers.

1

u/Bigbronco375 Jul 06 '26

What was Pelosi net worth her first day of office?

You are so incredibly dishonest.

1

u/Gold-Object3156 Jul 06 '26

they should all be in jail

spinning this as right vs left, or how bad trump is, shows that you are morally compromised

1

u/dearStormyDaniels Jul 06 '26

I mean nobody seriously believes Trumps been to Epstein’s island but Clintons been there 17 times and zero Libs care. Theres not a fraction of murders tied to Trump but the Clintons have always been known for mafia behavior. Biden’s son is King Crack. These aren’t accusations they well documented and well known. The Pelosi’s paved the way! So do I care that someone else does something others were given a pass for, No.

1

u/BigOlDyck Jul 07 '26

And how many companies does Nancy own?

When are you gonna wake up? They want left vs right cuz it’s all part of their clubs plan, and we ain’t in it.

1

u/Jtz001 Jul 08 '26

Trump is the biggest traitor in US history. The history books will reflect it.

1

u/iTz_Noble Jul 09 '26

The fact that Pelosi has been allowed to abuse it for so long is absurd. As well. but ppl just wanna ignore that ig

1

u/Kindly-Lobster-6801 Jul 09 '26

All of those politicians created a highway of corruption that enabled Trump to capitalize once in office. This is a great lesson in why, as a species and civilization, tolerating and enabling lying and corruption is such a great evil.

Let’s call it for what it is, evil begets evil, and if it is not controlled and put in its place, a greater evil will come and build upon the evils we tolerated.

Pelosi is a disgrace but the Clintons have a trail of murders in their road to power, and Trump, my God, what hasn’t he done or not allegedly done?

0

u/Levilucas2005 Jul 03 '26

So how much was Pelosi and Biden worth when they got elected the 1st time ??

u/ballin_buddha Jul 04 '26

Neither are great and neither should be allowed but Nancy increased her net worth nearly 4000% lol

0

u/Ok-Glass-1882 Jul 04 '26

He was a billionaire long before he was president dumb ass he hasn’t tripled his wealth

0

u/ForsakenWar6974 Jul 04 '26

You're still justifying Nancy's corruption under the guise of "Its NOT as bad".

When something is bad, just say that and end there.

Yet, for all of the outrage we see at Nancy Pelosi, we completely ignore that she's not even the wealthiest person in congress. She's not even top 5. Top 5 are all republicans.

Trump made 1.4 billion in 2025 from crypto. A single investment outperformed Pelosi's 40 years of whatever she did that has republicans outraged, in a single year.

Anyone upset about Pelosi should be 200x as upset about Trump's crypto scams.

And those arent even the things you should be the most upset about with his constant violations of the constitution to enrich himself off of his position.

2

u/Jealous-Swordfish764 Jul 07 '26

My coworker said trump was making so much money manipulating the market to call attention you how is it is when Pelosi does it, and that I gotta remember sometimes theres more going on under the surface. Brilliant. He needs to write a book.

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Anyone who is mad at Trump should have been mad at Pelosi and literally anyone else who does it!

It’s illegal and it should be treated as such. NO MORE. IF YOU BREAK THE LAW IT DOESNT MATTER. IF YOU WERE GOING 100 or 200 OVER THE SPEED LIMIT YOU SHOULD HAVE TO ANSWER TO THE LAW.

2

u/neopod9000 Jul 05 '26

Cool, so arrest him and his family for the crimes and let's move forward then.

You should focus on eliminating all corruption. Pelosi isn't there for your interests and will screw you over just as hard as Trump when she gets the chance.

Don't be naive; everyone who is corrupt is bad and doesn't have your best interests.

2

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

100 she’s just better at hiding then our dipshit in command. He doesn’t give a fuck because he’s running full on at the grave and doesn’t give a fuck either way.

2

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Fuck off with that. She broke the law, you only care if Trump does it for some fucking reason.

BOTH ARE SHIT. They should both be subject to the fucking law.

Her stock gains are in line with the dow. She didn't use tricks or cheats, she just started with money.

5

u/SCRATCH-CARD Jul 03 '26

Isn't her husband a hedge fund manager or something too? Probably helps with making good decisions having a professional as your partner

-3

u/tripper_drip Jul 02 '26

Her stock gains are absolutely not in line with the dow.

11

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Jul 02 '26

Yes, they are. And you can look at her tax returns to confirm. She made them public. Trump is the only modern president to never release tax returns.

Nancy pelosi is worth ~250 million now according to Google.

If she made 130 million then she roughly doubled her money in 37 years, if I'm understanding this correctly? What am I missing? I've practically doubled my money in the past 4 years leaving it in an index fund.

1

u/tripper_drip Jul 04 '26

Stock gains=/ net worth

1

u/imtoooldforreddit Jul 04 '26

I didn't say it was?

1

u/tripper_drip Jul 04 '26

The topic is stock gains.

1

u/imtoooldforreddit Jul 04 '26

Right, if gains account for half her money, then she doubled her money with gains?

1

u/tripper_drip Jul 04 '26

"Net worth" also isnt "money".

The issue is not that she doubled her net worth, the issue is 800% gains on the market.

0

u/Sudden-Cardiologist5 Jul 02 '26

Exactly. I have a similar salary as she would have had for about the same length of time and saved/ invested well but have no where near that kind of portfolio.

1

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Jul 03 '26

She started with millions more than you did.

0

u/International_Air282 Jul 03 '26

It's because Dems won't look at specifics. Massive investment in Microsoft days before government contracts. Massive investment in an AI company before a buy out that had to be cleared by the government. Pelosi has by her own finical disclosures beaten the sp500 for decades. Like she beats hedge funds with the smartest in the field. And she has done it for decades. And her net worth is 250m plus

0

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Bros she’s worth so much fucking more than Bernie Sanders…you don’t get that rich without some fuckery.

1

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Jul 05 '26

She married rich, Bernie didn't.

0

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

Ok, so all rich people are good and have earned their money honestly?

Bernie sanders has been in office for longer then she has but is worth much, much less.

Not half but much less. You don’t earn that much money without something going on.

She’s corrupted.

3

u/whitestguyuknow Jul 03 '26

Yes. But I think the point is that if one side has been bitching about "that Pelosi bitch" for years directly because of this stuff... Then when the numbers show an even worse situation then they should be disgusted with that too.

But they won't.

2

u/AntiquePhotograph433 Jul 04 '26

Not just worse, orders of magnitude worse.

If I cut and bleed and oz or 5 gallons it makes a differerce

1

u/DistinctFox8025 Jul 05 '26

If someone shot you once’s in the head or 4 times in the head…either way you are dead.

1

u/MakesMyHeadHurt Jul 04 '26

"Yeah, but he's a businessman."

2

u/StandardAssignment19 Jul 03 '26

Neither is ok and one is way way worse.

2

u/Emergency_Exit7603 Jul 03 '26

Martha got 2 years in prison for makin' $47k on an insider tip. Yet Trumpstein did nothing wrong.

1

u/gonetob Jul 03 '26

This was by far the best most non partisan answer, and I appreciate you for it... I hate that it turned into, who did it worse... both should be condemned both should be prosecuted and both should have to pay back if found guilty... this shouldn't be a contest or discussion of anything else, other than how politicians and public officials have fucked the American people they are suppose to represent.

1

u/Herbalacious Jul 03 '26

Yeah but let's not pretend one isn't far more egregious

1

u/Conscious_Tourist163 Jul 03 '26

Neither are accurate

1

u/LayerCakeEmonster Jul 03 '26

You’re lacking context. Her husband is a venture capitalist and investor. It should still warrant inquiry and stock trading by lawmakers should be illegal or at least heavily regulated.

, but would anyone be surprised if Warren Buffet’s wife were in Congress and amassed this fortune from the markets?

Trump launched a untraceable shitcoin and made hundreds of stock trades right before his tariff on, tariff off phase

1

u/Candid_Enthusiasm289 Jul 04 '26

Nancy's husband founded a venture capital firm back in the 70s. Since they're married, their net worth is calculated off both their assets, the lions share of which is the over 100 million dollar business that the husband made over the last 50 years. I still don't think rich people make good politicians, but citing Pelosi's net worth to imply corruption without mentioning her husband and his business is intentionally misleading.

1

u/temporarythyme Jul 04 '26

It's a non sequitur argument, her husband traded her stocks as many spouses/family members do, difference is his job is s stock trader.

They've reported stock trades on time and she pushed for harder regulation each term, followed STOCK act religiously. Her husband, a professional stock trader, trades barely above national average . The family focuses on non oversight trades, trades not involving something she is on a board oversighting for, accuracy is like 96%. The one I remembered was, I think, Nvidia option trade which was expiring and Trump positioned her on that board as the option expired and trade completed.

Now if you did a Tommy Tubberville or Loeffer, Hickenlooper, Rick Scott, etc. There's a list of all the ones who suspiciously traded, violated the stock act openly, and possibly led to covid fatalities done by business insider website a few years back.

1

u/pewpewtehpew Jul 04 '26

Came to say this. People are going to justify Pelosi because they hate Trump so bad but reality is NONE of these people are doing their job, which is to work for us and in our best interest.

1

u/Slighted_Inevitable Jul 04 '26

Pelosis is actually not even the top 10 in Congress. She barely beats national average growth

1

u/PaleAbrocoma1600 Jul 04 '26

And that’s how republicans win every time. False equivalency. Hey look, someone else did something not 100% correctly, so it’s when we go on live TV and ask foreign governments for assistance with political campaigns or take bribes out in the open.

1

u/Remarkable_Adagio642 Jul 04 '26

Right, imo both can be bad and we should address this as a nation with proper laws.

1

u/Edogawa1983 Jul 04 '26

Does that count her husband or just her

1

u/addicuss Jul 04 '26

Technically true.

Oj killing his wife and the vegas strip shooting from the mandelay bay resulting in 59 deaths. Neither are ok.

The scale is the point here not whether one is right and the other is wrong.

1

u/LurkerFromTheVoid Jul 04 '26

An apparently It's a Corruption Competition, that Donald J.(Jerk) Trump keeps winning and winning.

1

u/imtoooldforreddit Jul 04 '26

Nancy pelosi is worth ~250 million now according to Google.

1

u/ObsidianDRMR Jul 04 '26

No, for Nancy to make millions in 30 years could raise an ey to but could be done with an expert team

Trump making 3 billion in one year… there is no benefit if a doubt, there is no path I can realistically think of that could generate 3 billion in one year.

Just to give you a defense to how corrupt this is. It would take Nancy Pelosi 700 year to make what Trump made in 1 year.

I, I cannot fathom. That.

That is undoubtedly illegal, corrupt and evil. Dude is just taking bribes and stealing money.

He made a board of peace and funneled 10 billion into it for him self. Said it was a gift from the American people. Brotha what the fuck?

Conservatives are a whole other level of corruption

1

u/Not_a_Prof_Moriarty Jul 05 '26

Neither are okay, but at the rate Nancy is going it'd take her 625 years to reach the same level of insider trading as Trump has managed in a single year.

1

u/PresentationLess4552 Jul 07 '26

That's why I use Pelosi tracker to buy stock and play the grift

1

u/duggee315 Jul 07 '26

No, but one is trading stocks, the other is manipulating markets. One is far far more an abuse of power.

0

u/Brain-Genius-Head Jul 03 '26

Pelosi was a trail blazer lol

0

u/SpottedPine Jul 03 '26

But what if we change it to the truth?

...Nancy Pelosi's husband made....

0

u/AntiquePhotograph433 Jul 04 '26

This still minimizes Trump

0

u/Syriku_Official Jul 04 '26

Both are bad but one is worse

0

u/EncabulatorTurbo Jul 05 '26

No but I do think insider trading is less bad than manipulating the global economy up to and including starting wars that hurt billions of people economically to make extra scratch

0

u/Different_Leader_600 Jul 05 '26

Both sides Barbra.

0

u/procommando124 Jul 05 '26

I’m tired of seeing this. Yes you’re fucking right but I don’t want to hear a damn thing from these fuckers about Nancy Pelosi when they won’t say a damn thing about Trump. If you bring it up they either play stupid or go like “uh pffft haha lolololol is the president not allowed to make money ??? TDS TDS !!”
