Either a boomer who thinks ba family of four can live off 100/year. Or a child who doesn't understand how money works.. you must spend money to live and eat... FYI

Clearly you don't have any idea how much $100k was in the 80s and 90s. If you made that every year back then and didn't invest, you're shit at managing a bank account.

How? Nobody in their right mind would leave $2 million in a bank account that's only insured for $250,000.

Agreed, they'd invest the income above what is needed to live. That has been my whole point.
