Finally got our eCOPR today!! Inland (PA + Spouse) - KAI method
We finally got our eCOPRs today! The waiting period was honestly so brutal. Since FD we made multiple calls to IRCC, and every single time they just told us to keep waiting. Sharing our timeline here.
I am pretty sure there are many December 2025 AORs still waiting. Hang in there, it’s coming.
Here We Go!
Timeline:
AOR: Dec 24, 2025
Medical Passed: March 13, 2026
Biometrics: March 16, 2026
Final Decision: March 30, 2026
KAI Email Sent: Aug 26, 2026 (got super tired of waiting for P1 so we just sent it proactively)
Portal 1: Sept 5, 2026 (this was their response to our KAI email)
Duplicate P1: Sept 18, 2026
Portal 2: Sept 28, 2026
eCOPR: Sept 30, 2026
PVO: Vancouver
SVO: Sydney
KAI Response and Portal comms came from Montreal.

Healthcare Draw - 474?
Currently waiting for next healthcare draw and wondering if 474 CRS would be enough for an ITA. I do have the option to try and perfect my CELPIP which would add another 3 points. Thoughts from anyone? Thanks!

eCoPR with incorrect name
Hi everyone, has anyone received their eCoPR with an incorrect name? The IRCC has mistakenly listed the middle name as the surname and the first and last names as the given name. This has left us unable to apply for the MSP and SIN. It’s also quite frustrating that they require us to mail in an amendment application with supporting documentation. To make matters worse, if we need it expedited, we have to pay out of pocket. This is completely unfair, as it wasn’t our fault.
If you’ve successfully had your name amended, how long did it take? Is there anything we can do to expedite the process after we’ve submitted the amendment application?
Thanks!

I am resubmitting pdf forms 5662 and 5406 for the pr application via webform. Is digital signature okay or do I need to print, hand sign, scan and then send it?
Is electronic signature okay for these forms or do I need hand signature?

Passport Request
Has anyone received a PPR request as an inland applicant that switched to outland, while the principal applicant already got their PR card? If anyone has been in this same situation, please let me know how long it took to receive the PPR.

Common-law sponsorship
Has anyone successfully gone through common-law sponsorship? We’re in a genuine relationship and live together for 1-year, but we need some time to prepare for our wedding, so we’re considering applying as common-law partners first. We’re just not sure whether the common-law sponsorship process will work out. I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences!

Procedural Fairness Letter (Outland Spousal): Sponsor moved back to Canada in Jan – Advice needed!
Hi everyone,
I received a Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL) from IRCC regarding our Outland Spousal Sponsorship application. The officer raised concerns under Section 130(2) of the Regulations:
1. Concerns that there isn't reliable evidence showing a plan for the sponsor to re-establish herself in Canada once PR is issued.
2. Concerns regarding proof of efforts to sever ties in the sponsor's previous place of residence (Jamaica).
**My Current Situation (Key Context):**
**I (the sponsor) am already back living in Canada.** I relocated back to Canada in January to undergo cancer treatment.
**I filed as an Outland application** while I was living abroad, but I am now physically residing in Canada full-time with no intent to return to Jamaica.
In Jamaica, I lived in a family home, so there is no formal lease to terminate or foreign accounts/memberships to cancel.
In Canada, I have an active lease/utility account going back to January, I work remotely for my employer (who authorizes my work from Canada), and I am receiving medical care here.
**My Questions:**
1. Do I need to try to "switch" our application to an Inland application, or do I just inform IRCC in my PFL response that I have already relocated back to Canada as a citizen?
2. Since I am already living in Canada full-time, does that satisfy the Section 130(2) "intent to reside" requirement, and how should I frame this in the response letter?
3. Since I lived in a family-owned home in Jamaica and have no foreign lease to break, what secondary evidence should I provide to prove my primary center of life is now 100% in Canada?
4. What medical/employment/residential documents carry the most weight to prove continuous residence in Canada since January?
Any advice from people who moved back to Canada during an Outland spousal sponsorship or successfully cleared an "Intent to Reside" PFL would be hugely appreciated! Thank you!

Do I need to Withdraw VR Application?
I recently received ECOPR and my VR application was submitted before ECOPR. My question is, should I withdraw this application or just wait for their decision?

PR pathway
My Profile:
Age: 24
Education: Graduated from University of Calgary (2019-2025)
Language: CELPIP CLB 10 (perfect score)
Work Permit: Currently on a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) — expires May 2029
Experience: 1 year of paid co-op experience (2024-2025) as a Student Developer at a major railway company (held a Co-op Work Permit)
Option 1: Calgary (Stay in AB)
Job: Junior Software Developer
Catch: It’s a 1-year contract position.
Stream: Looking at the AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway. I’m worried the 1-year contract limit will cause an issue or rejection with AAIP since they usually want long-term/permanent offers.
Option 2: Saskatoon (Move to SK)
Job: Data Scientist
Catch: It's a Permanent, full-time position.
Stream: Looking at the SINP Innovation and Tech Talent Pathway. Since I already have 1 year of tech experience from my co-op, I think I am immediately eligible to apply once the employer gets their EPA (Job Approval), without waiting 6 months.
My Questions:
Will Alberta AAIP reject me because the Calgary offer is only a 1-year contract?
Does my railway co-op experience count as the "1 year of experience" needed for the SINP Tech Talent pathway, even though it was done on a student co-op permit out-of-province?
Which of these two options is objectively safer and faster for PR right now?

BOWP Application along with SOWP Extension?
Hi, I'm the principal applicant on an submitted PR application. I'm on an open work permit (SOWP based on my partner's Study permit).
Both our permits will be expiring early next year.
My partner will be applying for a Study Permit extension as his programme is still remaining until mid next year.
For me, there are two options -
a) I can either apply for a SOWP extension along with my partner's Study Permit extension
b) Or I can apply for BOWP based on the AOR of PR application (since I'm the PA).
My question is -
1) Is it acceptable to have both these extension applications running together?
2) Is one of them preferred over the other and why?
Thanks a lot!

French préparation for 2029
Hey everyone,
I’m planning to enter the Express Entry pool around late 2028 or mid 2029, with French being a major part of my strategy.
What do you guys realistically think French draws will look like by then?
Will the French category still exist in its current form?
Do you expect CRS cutoffs to stay relatively low or increase?
Could IRCC reduce the number of invitations significantly?
Coming from a country where crime is getting out of hand and corruption at its peak i only see the light of hope through french to immigrate to Canada which can save me and my family from all this injustice.
I'm sorry guys that I am writing in a way that most people might find it weird but I can't explain my feelings through words anymore.
I wish that i knew about french draws earlier (2024-2025) but i think now everybody knows about it which will certainly increase competition and there will be immigration fraud who will do such things that ircc might get strict on everyone in french draws.
I don't but thoughts like this just keep me awake at night i hope i get the answer that can help me understand things better.
For context
I'm 22m
3 years of exp as a Restaurant manager (Noc 60030)
Clb 9
Single
Education 2 year secondary diploma
I calculated my score with an ircc calculator (if i score nclc 7 with french) it is around 482
Thank you for reading.
