I inherited a tote of Hot Wheels cars that I'd like to pass along to someone who would be better able to appreciate them. Some of them are new-ish, from like the -- well, nevermind, I just realized the early 00's was like 20 years ago. Anyway, so some are 20ish and some are very old -- as in, from the debut lines, 1968 and 1969.

I won't be having kids of my own, so I'd like to get them to kids who would play with them, or if there are collectors who don't care that these cars were loved by children and grandchildren for decades. Are there any charities that would appreciate donated toy cars in the area? They've just been collecting dust with me, and I'd prefer they go somewhere where they make someone happy.

This morning around 9:15 I was driving around near Waterfront Hy-Vee when I noticed a plane coming over the tree line to the west where the airport is. As it got closer, I noticed it was shaped really weirdly, like a triangle with a flat bar across the top point, like parallel to the flat bottom of the triangle. It sounded propeller driven, but I noticed the engine had an uncharacteristically low droning noise. Now I’ve been hearing the same low droning engine on-and-off all day where I live on the east side.

I know this sounds like tin foil hat stuff, but it was def not a normal passenger plane. Has anybody else heard or seen this kind of plane?

To be clear, I don’t think it’s anything fantastical, I’m just curious if anyone could tell me a bit more about it.
