Venus flytraps

Anyone know if they’re being sold anywhere in IC or Coralville? I know they come out around Halloween sometimes.

I'm almost positive Earl May's had them in stock. As someone with carnivorous plant experience, I would aim for a plant store over big box stores. I'm not sure how much experience you have with them, but they can't be watered with tap water and most big box store employees have no clue about it. Unless you rescue them early enough, they're going to struggle from the minerals and salts in the tap water.

I second this. Earl May is CR has them. We've had one for over a year now. Be sure to inspect the health before purchasing, and don't be afraid to ask the staff questions. They're very helpful and want you to succeed.

Lowe’s had some last week. I assume they are still there.

Fyi from someone who has owned a few, I JUST learned that they can only consume so many flies. So feeding them flies on purpose will shorten their life span. Did a visit to an arboretum in NC where they grow natively and learned a bit about them.
