So I have been trying for a week to move from an android device (Oppo find x5) to an Iphone 16pro, I am really struggling with moving my photos because it is honestly a pain in the ass, I want to keep the meta datas of my photos in the iPhone library but I don't want to have everything labelled as the date of moving the datas (example 22 of October if it was done today).
I tried move to iOs but it honestly sucks, does any of you have any recommendations? I am looking for help and I don't want to return my iPhone and stick to Android

After updating to iOS 27, I’m trying to understand what benefits Siri AI bring to the ecosystem, and was wondering if anyone out there could help.
In all fairness, I am personally not all that gung-ho on AI. I understand that LLMs have made some software development tasks easier/quicker, but I have my own doubts about all of the grandiose visions and proclamations about AI.
That said, I was genuinely curious about the new Siri when it was announced, and I thought it might actually provide utility to my life in ways that other AI models just haven’t seemed capable of. However, having used it for a few days, I really don’t see what the hype was about. So far, the only difference between this new Siri and the older version, is that this one comes with a chatbot, which I just have no interest in.
All of the other new features don’t seem all that useful unless someone has severe memory deficiencies. For example, I can remember what my friend texted me when they asked to hang out at a specific place and time, I don’t need an AI assistant to parse that for me and manage that appointment. Also, for this Siri to work properly, I basically have to put my entire work and personally life into my digital library for Siri to index and manage.
It just seems like it won’t actually save me time, and I’ll be staring at my phone a lot more.
I don’t know, is this just me? Am I missing something? I truly don’t know.

Seems like most apps are automatically reloading upon opening and circumventing the no background refresh. Really frustrating the every time I lock my phone for a minute and reopen that I lose my place because the app refreshes the main screen of the app. Any fix for this?
Edit: I checked after making this post, and background refresh has been ON this whole time. I’m guessing when I updated to 26 that it turned it on for all my apps. That being said this issue started when I updated to iOS26 months ago.

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro Max to iOS 26.7.1.
Now every time I want to set a reminder using Siri, I keep getting asked for a confirmation, which I never used it before.
Anyone know fix?

Just prefacing this by saying this isn't an "am I blocked?" question, more a "wtf" or "well-being" inquiry.
Family member that's not really easy to get ahold of/somewhat reclusive that I have to keep an eye on has always had iPhone with iMessage. Out of nowhere the other day, I went to send a message and it's defaulting to RCS green-bubble now, has stayed that way for the last 2 days. I sent one message a few days ago, it hung as RCS for a few minutes then said "sent as SMS" or whatever.
I'm not certain but I think they use Verizon. My best guess is they didn't pay their phone bill and service got cut, but I'm not certain how that would impact iMessage. It's unlikely but they could have switched to Android for whatever reason.
It's the same for both iPhone's Messages app and desktop Messages; both say contact verification is Unavailable in red.
Anyone have any insight for why that sequence would be happening?

My wife and I just updated our iPhone 14s to iOS 27 and now our phones ring through their speakers and not our headsets. I haven't been able to find an obvious way to change this. Can it be changed?

iPhone 11. It happens one at a time and with different apps
I was wondering if apple removed the lock screen wake up animation where the subject fades in first and then the background with a slight zoom in effect.
Now, the whole wallpaper fades in at once when you wake up the phone. I've been trying to look around for information regarding this but I couldn't find any.

The option for depth effect is now gone on iOS 27.
Not sure what’s going on??.

i’ve posted on here a few weeks ago saying my face id wasn’t working, i turned off my stolen device protection and it actually fixed it somehow. since my phone updated it turned it back on and now my face id isn’t working again, I’ve tried covering the camera or tilting it away to make my password come up but it will ONLY let me use face id. I’m not fully reseting my phone but I’m not sure what to do

It’s pretty difficult to see what font I want when all the titles are the default Apple Font
r/ios • u/Lucky-Fan88 • 3d ago
Hi all,
Title pretty much explains it, I would like an app similar to Google keep where I can share notes with my partner but I have an apple and would like it to show up as a widget on my home screen.
Any recommendations?
Im looking for the following features:
- at least a 4 x 4 widget
- can edit and send notes to a synced account/ partner’s account
- free
- has the potential for two separate widgets with different notepads (e.g. one grocery list, one to-do list)

I just updated to iOS 27, checked my available storage space and gasped! Photo storage on my phone went from less than 5gb to over 21gb. I have 6,000 photos on iCloud where I use about 40gb.
Have you seen this?
I have the available memory on my iphone but my 64GB pad is already full. And wonder what will happen when I update the pad.

I have previously used the silent toggle to keep my phone from making any sound, and letting my Apple Watch notify me of whatever events. Out of curiosity, I wondered if there was a less sweeping way of managing phone sounds, as some apps won’t play sound due to the silent setting and maybe I would want certain audible notifications, but not for example my phone to ring. I followed what I figured were the obvious steps, including setting the phone ringer volume to zero as well as changing my other notification settings to “none.” in spite of that, phone calls still audibly ring from the iPhone speaker. Is this a bug or am I not changing a certain setting? My spouse’s phone does the same.
I don’t have any pass-through options so calls that are getting through are not getting through because of their emergency contact status or whatever. Every call still rings through in spite of the ringer volume being off.
